S’POREANS WHO BREACH STAY HOME NOTICE WILL BE FINED & JAILED, FOREIGNERS TO BE BARRED FROM RE-ENTRY

The Singapore government is very serious about movement restriction on people who are issued a stay home notice. The following is the punishments that will be issued to those who do not adhere to the rules.

Local residents are to adhere to all stay home notices and must not leave their homes to make the situation worse. Jail and a fine of up to S$10,000.

Any person guilty of an offence under Section 21A of the Infectious Diseases Act shall (a) in the case of a first offence, be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both; and (b) in the case of a second or subsequent offence, be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $20,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.

If you are a Singapore Permanent Resident, Long-Term Visit Pass holder, Dependant’s Pass holder, or Student’s Pass holder, your Re-Entry Permit or passes may be revoked
