An unreasonable wife complained on Facebook recently on how her mother in law has made her life miserable. She felted even more pissed as her father in law is also intended to come to Singapore from Malaysia after the corona pandemic ends. She would rather her mother in law returns to Malaysia ASAP and never return to Singapore again.

Sorry to say, but I really cannot get along and buay tahan my mil.
1. Why she so pantang? Wash laundry for the whole family but cannot wash my undies? What’s wrong with washing my undies together?
2. Told her super many times to put less oil less salt in the food. Don’t be so重口味. Why she won’t listen? Her son likes it, but I feel so heaty eating those junk food. Malaysian cooking style is like this but hello, you are now in Spore.
3. Her cleanliness standard is really “fantastic”. So called sweep and mopped already, but how come still so much hair on the floor?
4. Cannot speak English never mind. But why speak Cantonese to my girl? Some more her Mandarin still with the Malaysian accent. My girl should be learning proper English and Mandarin. Other parents are alr sending their kids to language, phonics classes etc, but my girl is exposed to such broken language at home everyday.
5. She knitted some kind of quilt for my girl using her old clothes and cloths. Said its some tradition for grandparents to do for their grandchildren. I dun know abt such tradition, but a quilt from old clothes? I specially bought bedding set for my girl, more than $100+, but now have to use her “special” quilt. Quite disgusting, cos she brought all the old clothes from Malaysia and I dun know how clean it is. But how to reject her? She spent 1 week knitting that thing. I worry my girl will have rash using it.
Ever since she moved in, my life has been miserable. Heard my fil also thinking of coming over once the virus ends. Tolong tolong, once the virus ends I rather she goes back to Malaysia asap and don’t come again. I dun think she’s suitable for our Spore life here. Before she came our family life was so peaceful. Yes she takes care of my girl, but I rather hire a maid. Maid at least you can scold. How to scold mil? Upset or angry, I have to swallow everything until my volcano gg to explode. Who say Malaysian mil is easy to get along?
