Ah Girls Go Army, the spin off film to the original ‘Ah Boys to Men’ series directed by director Jack Neo has hit another milestone in terms of revenue collected in Singapore.
According to a statement that was released by mm2 Entertainment, it said that the film has grossed over $2 million SGD in Singapore.
In other parts of Asia such as Malaysia and Brunei where the film is currently aired in theatres, the film has also made about $1.5 million RM, which is approximately $481,220 combined in both of the countries.
The move is still available in cinemas for viewers to catch if they have not done so, according to mm2 Entertainment.
Expect Part 2 of the series in June
For fans of the movie, there will be an Ah Girls Go Army Part 2.
The second part of the series is expected to air in movie theatres in Singapore come the month of June this year.
The film was made available to the public since the first day of the Chinese Lunar New Year this year, on 1 Feb 2022 and after only two days of being aired, it crossed the $1 million revenue mark on 3 Feb 2022.
However, it has drawn mixed reactions from viewers who have caught the show with many commenting that they felt like they have sat through hours long of advertisements instead.
Influencers like Tosh Zhang have also came out to defend the film against the negative comments received.
