FILIPINO MAID RUNS 57KM IN ALMOST 9 HOURS TO CELEBRATE S’PORE’S NATIONAL DAY

A Filipino maid, Jeanette Camilo Cariso, shared how she ran 57km on National Day (9 August) to celebrate Singapore’s 57th birthday, completing it in just under 9 hours.

She started her journey on Monday at about 11.15pm and her run began at her home near Somme Road, and she ran all the way to East Coast, making a round at East Coast Park from area A to H, before going around the Kallang River to Marina Barrage, and ended it at Gardens By The Bay.

She took exactly 8 hours and 51 minutes to finish her 57km run.

The 33-year-old maid shared that she has been in Singapore for almost 8 years and has been working for her current employer for 5 years.

She added that she began running when she was 21 years old in the Philippines.
