A BMW had caught on fire and went up in flames in the middle of the road along the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) heading towards Changi Airport on 12 February.
The car had apparently skidded along the expressway before bursting into flames, although the cause of the accident is unknown.
The Singapore Police Force said that they were alerted to a car that had skidded along the expressway at about 4.40pm on 12 February.
A 50-year-old man was conveyed to the hospital conscious.
A video of the incident emerged on social media, with TikTok user @sumonsumon666 posting a video of the car burning in the middle of the road as thick black smoke billowed from the fire.
What appears to be a detached tyre could also be seen lying a distance away from the wreckage of the burning vehicle.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force also confirmed that the driver was sent to Singapore General Hospital conscious, and that the fire was extinguished using two dry extinguishers and a hose reel.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
