I found out my brother is actually my dad

I (f17) have always been told I look like my oldest brother “Z” (m33). Everyone always says I look like the female version of Z I never thought anything weird about the fact we look so much alike growing up.

Considering we’re 16 years apart I was only a toddler when Z went overseas to study. He always made sure to come to visit every once in a while.

I remember always having fun with Z when he would visit. After he finished graduated, he came back and started working.

Z still tried to visit most weekends he would do things like bring me gifts, take me out to eat, play board games, we would watch movies, and just talk. I honestly had the coolest older brother in my eyes.

Z recently started temporarily staying with us because for work he is doing a project only a few stops from where we lived and it would just be easier and more comfortable for him to stay with us.

Like I said I always enjoy being with Z so when we both have free time we try to hang out.

Last night I was doing homework in my room and I went to get a drink late at night when I heard Z say to our mom “I know I just sometimes wish (my name) could live with me and actually know Im her dad”.

I instantly confronted them and found out he is biologically my dad. He had gotten his girlfriend pregnant when he was still young, and she had decided at the last minute she was too young to raise a baby.

He wanted to keep me but knew he couldn’t give us both the life we deserved with him being a single teen dad so my biological grandparents decided to adopt me and raise me as their own kid and thought it would be easier to just say Z is my older brother.

I didn’t get mad at Z or my mom/ grandma. But I haven’t talked to them since last night I just don’t know what to say or think.

I have a remote sales/engineering job and she works in software. We do not live together mostly because of the way she treats me financially, I have not raised this as a reason to her. She also has a 12 year old.

I (M22) recently suffered a TBI (traumatic brain injury) and I have developed prosopagnosia (face blindness).

I am able to vaguely recognize my immediate family, but it’s near impossible for me to recognize anyone else unless I remember other distinctive cues about their appearance (such as a unique hair color or accessory.)

This has been really hard on me, and I’ve been hospitalized for the past two weeks (for other medical reasons related to my TBI).

carousell buyer threatening to make a police report

so i sold an item on carousell to a buyer and in my description i wrote that i haven’t had the old issue of the sensor picking up.

So i reckon it was working fine as i tested it prior and it didnt show any signs of the old issue popping up , so in my eyes it was working fine.

we meet up and i allowed him to test it out and there wasn’t any issue so we agreed to the deal and i handover my item.

more than a week goes by and he sold it to another buyer and the other buyer told him that it is not working anymore and that it was faulty and had a defect the whole time.

buyer msg me saying he’ll make a police report along with screenshots that i said it was working fine.

in my post of the item i’ve already written a disclaimer no refunds and that reading it means that you understand the issues stated and risk of issue that might occur after purchase.

TLDR sold an item to buyer buyer tested it out and it was working fine afterwards buyer sold it to another buyer other buyer says it’s not working and that it was faulty from the start first buyer then msg and says he’ll make a police report and how i failed to inform him of the defects

Both of you tested it out and it was working perfectly normal. So it’s no longer your responsibility when the 1st buyer went ahead to purchase it.
