S’PORE TO CALL MONKEYPOX “MPOX” INSTEAD, 2 LOCAL CASES OVER THE LAST 4 MONTHS

0

Singapore Minister of Health Ong Ye Kung said that Singapore will be referring to Monkeypox as “Mpox” instead, in according with the World Health Organisation’s recommendations.

Over the last 4 months, Singapore has seen just 2 Mpox cases, and Ong said that the global Mpox situation has since stabilised considerably.

Singapore previously confirmed its first case of Mpox (imported) back in June 2022, before recording our first local case in July.

This year so far, Singapore recorded 2 cases of Mpox from 1 to 7 January. This comes after Singapore reported 19 cases last year, with its last three cases being discovered on 15 September and zero cases after that until January.

Ong Ye Kung’s Facebook statement

Singapore will adopt the term “mpox” to replace “monkeypox” in references to the disease.

The new name comes after the World Health Organization (WHO) reported instances of stigmatising language being used during the mpox outbreak around the middle of last year. Hence, WHO has recommended the use of “mpox” to avoid the stigma associated with the original name.

Aligned with WHO’s recommendation, we have made amendments in the relevant legislative acts under Ministry of Health – Singapore (MOH). “Mpox” will also be used in MOH’s communications to the healthcare sector and the general public moving forward.

The good news is that the global mpox situation has stabilised considerably. In Singapore, we are also seeing fewer cases than before, with two in the last four months.

Nonetheless, we should remain vigilant. Exercise personal responsibility by monitoring our personal health and avoiding contact with others if unwell. For more advice, refer to the MOH website.

GIRL WALKS INTO BF’S ZOOM INTERVIEW WITHOUT PANTS, INTERVIEWER SAW EVERYTHING

0

My boyfriend was having his Zoom job interview at home one day and I had unfortunately walked in wearing nothing but a tank top and no pants. I was so embarrassed when the interviewer saw everything!

It all started when my boyfriend was preparing for his job interview. He was nervous and needed some moral support, so I thought I’d be there for him. I asked if I could join his Zoom call and he said yes. I was excited to see him in action and to show my support.

He thought that by showing support meant that I would sit in the room with him

Little did I know that I was about to make a huge mistake. After he started his interview, I decided to surprise him by walking in without pants.

It was a spur of the moment decision and I thought it would be funny. I thought I could get away with it because the interviewer was on the other side of the screen and wouldn’t be able to see me.

Boy, was I wrong. As soon as I walked in, the interviewer saw everything. I froze in embarrassment and my boyfriend was so shocked he couldn’t even speak. The interviewer, on the other hand, kept his composure and continued with the interview.

After I realized what I had done, I quickly ran out of the room. I was so embarrassed that I couldn’t even look at my boyfriend. I wanted to apologize but I was too embarrassed to do so. I was sure he was angry at me and would never forgive me.

Boyfriend got the job in the end

The next day, I was sure he was going to break up with me. But surprisingly, he wasn’t mad at all. He told me that he had been so surprised by my entrance that he didn’t even realize what had happened. He said he was more impressed than anything else, which made me feel better.

I was so relieved that he didn’t hate me. I apologized to him and he accepted my apology. He also told me that the interviewer had been impressed by my boldness and that he was sure my boyfriend would get the job.

It turns out, my boyfriend did get the job!

We both laughed about the incident, and I was glad that it all turned out well in the end.

It turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

GIRL COMES BACK TO SPORE FROM PERTH, CAN’T TAKE THE FAST PACED LIFE HERE

0

When I decided to move to Perth five years ago, I never expected to be back in Singapore so soon.

Living in Australia was a dream come true – the laidback lifestyle, sunny days and the breathtaking beaches were a stark contrast to the fast-paced environment of Singapore.

Born Singaporean, but moved to Perth to live and work

I had been living in Singapore since I was born and had grown used to the hectic lifestyle. But when I moved to Perth, it was like a breath of fresh air for me.

Everything was so relaxed and comfortable – it was like coming home. I decided to stay for five years, working and exploring the city.

Couldn’t get used to the fast paced life in Singapore again

However, after five years, I made the difficult decision to move back to Singapore. I had grown used to the relaxed lifestyle and was not sure if I could handle the hustle and bustle of Singapore again.

But I was also homesick and wanted to be closer to my family.

It was hard to adjust to the fast-paced environment of Singapore. Everything seemed to move so quickly and I felt overwhelmed.

I was used to taking my time and taking in my surroundings, and it was difficult to adjust to the fast-paced lifestyle of Singapore.

Missed the life back in Perth

I also felt like I was missing out on all the fun things in Perth. In Singapore, everything seems to be done on a tight schedule and it’s hard to find time to just relax and enjoy yourself.

I also felt like I was missing out on the amazing beaches, the beautiful sunsets and the incredible food in Perth.

The people in Singapore were also different. Everyone seemed so busy and focused on their own lives that it was hard to meet new people and make friends.

I was also used to Perth’s more laidback attitude and it was difficult to adjust to Singapore’s more competitive environment.

I am very tempted to move back over there and am also thinking if it was possible to move my family over there but they had gotten so used to the environment in Singapore that I doubt they would want to go to Perth with me.

I guess all I can do now is try to get used to the hectic lifestyle over here again.

The man wearing a black t-shirt, was seen in the video fighting in front of the cashiering counters, as one of the cashiering staff tried to stop the man by hitting him with a basket.

Several of the goods being displayed at the shop were knocked over as the fight got increasingly heated.

GIRL SAYS IT IS HARD TO FIND A BF BECAUSE SHE’S 1.8 METRES TALL

0

I’m a girl who happens to be 1.8 metres tall. I’m proud of my height and I know I’m an intimidating presence. But it also means a lot of guys don’t want to date me.

Hard to find a bf as most guys are shorter than me

It’s hard to find a boyfriend when you’re tall. A lot of guys don’t like the fact that I’m so much taller than them. It’s like they think I’m going to tower over them and make them look small.

I understand why they’d feel that way, but it’s still really frustrating.

I can’t even wear heels on a date without making the guy feel even more uncomfortable. I’ve tried to wear flats, but then it also looks like I am towering over him.

I don’t want to make him feel bad, but it also means I can’t wear the clothes that I feel most confident in.

It’s also hard for me to find clothes that fit. I’m too tall for regular sizes, and if I buy clothes in the tall section, they’re usually too long.

I end up having to get them tailored, which is expensive and time-consuming.

It’s not just the physicality of being tall that makes it hard to find a boyfriend. I think a lot of guys are intimidated by my height and feel like they can’t measure up.

I’m always conscious of how much taller I am than the guys I meet and I don’t want to make them feel bad.

People think I am intimidating because of my height

There’s also a lot of stereotypes about tall girls that I’m constantly trying to fight against. People think tall girls like me are intimidating, unapproachable, and unfeminine.

It’s like I’m expected to fit into a certain box because of my height, and it’s really hard to break out of that.

It’s not impossible to find a boyfriend when you’re tall, but it’s definitely more difficult.

I know I’m not the only tall girl out there who has had this problem, and I’m sure a lot of other tall girls have had similar experiences.

MAN SHARES HOW HE DON’T CHEAT: THINK OF OTHER WOMEN WHEN ‘DOING’ WIFE

0

For years, I had always had the urge to cheat on my wife. It wasn’t that I didn’t love her or that I didn’t find her attractive, it was just that I had an uncontrollable urge to look for something else.

I would find myself constantly searching for something new, something different, something better. I knew that if I kept thinking down this path, it would eventually lead to me really cheating on her

Share his secret on how he remains ‘faithful’

So, I decided to take a different approach. I began to think of other women when I was having intimate relations with my wife. I know this may sound strange, but it actually works for me.

Instead of focusing on my wife when we were ‘doing it’, I began to think of all the other women who I wanted to ‘do’ and as I am thinking of them, I move even faster and harder which end up giving my wife much more pleasure.

Sometimes after being intimate with my wife, she would come and ask me how come I am more ‘on’ this time instead of previous times and I would always tell her that I was just feeling more ‘on’ today, but the actual fact is that it is because I was thinking of someone else.

Been doing this for years

This approach has worked for me for years, and I’m happy to say that I haven’t cheated on my wife before thanks to this method.

My wife thinks I am faithful and it looks like it is on the surface but she does not and will never know what was going on in my mind.

If you’re struggling with cheating, I would highly recommend this approach.

It’s not easy, and it takes a lot of discipline not to go and get a mistress but it can really help you stay faithful to your partner.

It’s a great way to keep your marriage strong and healthy.

MUM ASK ME NOT TO MARRY MY WIFE AS WE’RE INCOMPATIBLE, TURNS OUT SHE’S RIGHT

0

My heart sank as I heard my mother’s words. She had been the one to encourage me to pursue my relationship with my wife when we first started dating, but now, it seemed like she had changed her mind.

She thinks that my wife and I are incompatible

My mum had been trying to tell me for months that my wife and I were incompatible, and I had refused to listen. Now, it was too late.

I had been with my wife for nearly a year, and we had been planning our wedding for months. We had just found the perfect venue, and we were about to send out the invitations when my mother told me she thought we shouldn’t get married.

I was too far in to turn back now. I had to find out why she thought we weren’t compatible.

My mother explained that she had noticed a few things about my wife that made her worry about our relationship.

She said that my wife was often too controlling and didn’t seem to understand my feelings or emotions. She also pointed out that we had very different values and beliefs, and that this could lead to major issues in the future.

I knew my mother was right. I had felt a growing disconnect between us for months. I’d tried to push it aside and pretend that everything was fine, but now I realized that I should have listened to my mother.

Eventually realised my mum was right

We tried to talk through our issues, but it was too late. My wife refused to change her behavior and we were both too stubborn to compromise.

In the end, I had to accept that my mother was right. We were incompatible, and the wedding was off.

I had let myself get so caught up in the idea of getting married that I had forgotten to consider whether we were really compatible.

I was devastated that it had come to this, but I knew that I had to move on.

MAN THINKS HE IS ROBIN HOOD, HANGS ALL SIAM BU WITHOUT FLOWER ON STAGE $50

0

When I first stepped into the siam diu, I was immediately bombarded with a loud, pulsing beat. I looked up and saw a line of siam bu on stage, waiting to see if the patrons which they mingled with hang them any flowers.

Some of them had many flowers even though they look cui

As I watched the siam bu, I saw some of them receiving flowers even though they were not good looking.

They were getting amounts of $100-$500 and occasionally someone would hang a $1000 for a random siam bu on stage.

However, I noticed that some of them were receiving any flowers. After already having a few drinks, I felt unjust for the prettier siam bu who were not getting any flowers when the uglier ones were getting all the money.

Decided to be a Robin Hood to save them

After finishing another glass of Martell on the rocks, I had an urge to hang flower for all these Siam bu without any flowers on stage.

When it was about 2 minutes more for the girls to get off the stage to make way for the other set of girls to go up, I called the flower girl over and told her to hang $50 for all the girls on the stage without any flowers.

The spotlight then quickly turned to me as she took out her laser to point to the girls which I said i wanted to hang and then it pointed back to me to let the girls see who was giving flowers to them.

I could see they were grateful as all of them came down to my table to thank me and drink with me.

I felt like a hero, just like Robin Hood. I had used my money to help out those who needed it most and I had done it with no expectation of anything in return.

I felt like I had done something good and I was proud of myself.
