30 Y.O LOCAL THINKS THAT SANTA CLAUSE IS REAL

0

I still believe in Santa Clause, even at the age of 30. I remember when I was a child, waking up at 4 am on Christmas morning, running to the living room to find out what Santa had left me.

That feeling of joy and excitement is something I still have today.

My family played a big role in keeping the magic alive. We would hang up stockings for Santa, leave out milk and cookies, and spend hours writing letters, detailing what we wanted for Christmas. My mom would even leave some of her old shoes around the house for Santa to fill with treats.

We would all stay up late, talking about the possibility of Santa visiting our house.

I remember one Christmas Eve, when I was about 8 years old, my dad woke me up and told me to go to the living room window. I went, and saw a sleigh gliding silently across the night sky. Santa was real! But it’s just fireworks.

I still believe in Santa Clause today, despite being older and wiser. Every year, I still write letters, hang up stockings, and leave out milk and cookies. I know it is a silly thing to do, but it brings me joy and helps me to keep the Christmas spirit alive.

I also still make sure to take time to enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas. I love to drive around and admire all the lights, decorations, and the beautiful music that fills the air. During the holidays, I always make sure to get out and do something festive, like watching a holiday movie or visiting a Christmas market.

I know that some people may think it is strange for a 30-year-old to still believe in Santa Claus, but I don’t care. To me, believing in Santa is about more than just a jolly man in a red suit – it’s about the spirit of Christmas and the joy it brings.

I may not be able to see Santa, but I can still feel the magic of Christmas. Every year, I look forward to the holiday season and all the joy it brings. I still believe in Santa Clause, and I always will.

MAN SAYS THE RACE FOR A HIGHER SALARY IS NEVER ENDING, JUST SIT BACK & RELAX BETTER

0

I never thought that I would be in a race against myself.

The competition for a higher salary is never ending, and the pressure to keep up with the Joneses seems to be a never-ending cycle.

I’ve always been competitive, and I’ve always been driven to be the best at what I do, but I’ve also learned that there’s a balance between working hard and enjoying life.

For the longest time, I was in a constant state of stress and anxiety about my career. I was constantly looking for ways to make more money, and I was always looking for the next big opportunity. I was always in competition with myself, trying to outdo the accomplishments of the previous year. I was never satisfied with my current salary, and I was always looking for ways to make more money.

The more I strived for a higher salary, the more I realized that it was an endless cycle. I was constantly in competition with myself, trying to outdo the accomplishments of the previous year. I was never satisfied with my current salary, and I was always looking for ways to make more money.

But then I realized that I wasn’t going to get ahead by competing with myself. I needed to take a step back and relax. I needed to take a deep breath and focus on the things that really matter. I needed to take time off and enjoy life. I needed to spend more time with my family and friends. I needed to take time to explore new hobbies and interests.

I slowly started to realize that the race for a higher salary was never ending and that it would never bring me true satisfaction. I started to appreciate the importance of balance in life. I started to understand that there is more to life than just money and career.

I started to focus on the things that really mattered, like relationships, experiences, and personal growth. I started to invest in myself and my passions. I started to explore new hobbies and interests. I started to take more risks and embrace new opportunities.

And then something amazing happened. I started to see new opportunities come my way. Opportunities that I never even knew existed before. Opportunities that I never would have taken if I was still stuck in the rat race. Opportunities that eventually led to a higher salary.

So now, instead of constantly striving for a higher salary, I’m learning to relax and enjoy life. I’m learning to take time off and focus on the things that really matter. I’m learning to appreciate the small victories and the big accomplishments. And I’m learning to trust that better opportunities will come my way if I just sit back and relax.

GIRL RECEIVES WORSE CHRISTMAS PRESENT FROM BF: A NOTE “IM GAY”

0

It was Christmas morning and I had been eagerly awaiting to see what my boyfriend had gotten me.

We had been dating for a few months, and I thought he was really into me. We had been talking a lot about the future, and I thought things were going great.

But when I opened my gift, my heart sank. There it was, a rainbow flag and a card that read: “I’m gay.”

My boyfriend had come out as gay on Christmas morning.

I was stunned. I didn’t know what to do or say. I just sat there, feeling numb and confused.

After a few moments, I managed to say something. I asked him why he hadn’t told me sooner. He said he had been trying to figure it out for a while, and he had finally decided to tell me.

That was the worst Christmas present ever.

I was angry and hurt. I felt betrayed. How could he keep something like this from me for so long? How could he wait until Christmas morning to tell me?

But I also felt a strange mix of emotions. On the one hand, I was sad and disappointed. On the other hand, I was relieved that he had finally been honest with me.

In the days and weeks that followed, I tried to make sense of what had happened. I talked to friends and family, and eventually, I began to understand.

My boyfriend had been struggling with his sexuality for a while. He had always been attracted to men, but he had been too scared and ashamed to admit it. He had wanted to tell me, but he was scared of how I would react.

As I processed my feelings, I began to understand that my ex-boyfriend was brave for coming out. I also began to understand that this wasn’t about me. It was about him being true to himself and living his truth.

My ex-boyfriend’s coming out story is not the most typical one. It’s certainly not the happiest Christmas present I’ve ever received. But it’s an important story, and it’s one that I’m grateful to have been part of.

HDB SEIZED 21 FLATS FROM OWNERS WHO DIDN’T LIVE IN THE UNITS FOR 5 YEARS

0

The Housing and Development Board (HDB) is investigating the cases of BTO flats that are being put up for sale on the open market after being left vacant by the owners for years.

There were also other reports of BTO flats that appeared to have never had any residents living in them being listed for sale.

HDB’s MOP (minimum occupancy period) states that owners need to live in the BTO flats for at least 5 years before they are allowed to sell them on the open market.

Between 2017 to November this year, HDB has taken action in 53 cases against flat owners who didn’t occupy their units during the MOP period, according to Channel NewsAsia.

Of the 53 cases, the flats were seized by HDB in 21 cases with the rest being given warnings and/or fines.

HDB said that they carry out about 500 inspections monthly to detect crimes such as illegal renting of flats, as well as to detect housing rules violations.

Investigations will be carried out on suspected cases of violations like flats that are being sold without being occupied by the owners.

The government responded to the viral tweet, asking “those with information to come forward and share them with us, we will take action immediately.”

The Malaysian health ministry then issued a statement earlier today that the eatery, in Pandan Indah Kuala Lumpur, will be ordered to close down.

They conducted check on the premises and found that the cleanliness was unsatisfactory and that it will be closed until 6 January 2023.

DELIVERY MAN THROW PARCELS ON THE GROUND DURING UNLOADING FROM SHOPEE XPRESS VAN

In a TikTok video that has drawn widespread criticism, delivery personnel were observed unloading packages from a Shopee Xpress van by tossing them carelessly on the ground.

The behaviour of the delivery personnel has elicited anger from those who watched the video.

Throw like nobody’s business

The video was recorded along Haig Road where delivery men were seen tossing parcels with no regard if the items will get damaged.

If this incident is reported to Shopee, the delivery man will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken, if found to be true.

Shopee also has safety guidelines in place that all delivery men must adhere to, such as wearing protective gear, using a proper lifting technique, and following safe driving practices.

FRANCE PETITION TO REPLAY WORLD CUP FINAL, ARGENTINA PETITION FOR FRANCE TO STOP CRYING

0

Following Argentina’s victory over France in the FIFA World Cup this month, the French are still reeling from the defeat on 18 December.

They are of the view that Lionel Messi’s 2nd goal in extra time shouldn’t have stood because two of Argentina’s substitutes had stepped onto the field before the ball crossed into the goal line.

They are citing FIFA’s Laws of the Game, where a goal should be disallowed if there is an extra person on the field when the goal is scored.

The International Football Association Board (IFAB) has since said that the rule would only be in play if the infringing player interfered with play.

The French football association also lodged an official complaint against Emiliano Martinez for the way the goalkeeper taunted French striker Kylian Mbappe during Argentina’s victory parade.

And now, more than 226,000 of the French have since signed a petition to have the world cup final to be replayed between the two nations.

Argentina responds

The Argentinians have since responded with a petition of their own, petitioning for “France Stop Crying“, garnering over 666,000 signatures.

FAMILY WAITED 30 MINS FOR THEIR FOOD, RESTAURANT SAYS THEY “FORGOT” ABOUT THE ORDER

0

White Restaurant – The Original Sembawang White Beehoon

My family had a very bad experience this evening at this restaurant. The restaurant was close to empty when we reached there to order food for takeaway at around 5pm.

After waiting for almost 20 to 30mins, i went to check with their staff and noticed that those customers who came after us had already collected their food except us.

When i checked with the staff (in the photo), they sheepishly said that they had forgotten to cook one of our orders and informed the chef to start cooking. They were not apologetic and even pushed the blame to the chef in the kitchen for screwing up the order.

What shocked me further is that the kitchen went on to churn out the later orders for the Grab riders in waiting instead of focusing on our order.

When i told them that my food is turning cold while waiting for them to cook our “forgotten” order, the manager came and asked if we want to recook all our orders which to me is a poor suggestion since we have to wait even longer

When i asked why we ended up being the last customer to collect the food, she just say that the queue number is not in sequence and still no apology from anyone in the restaurant.

Very disappointed with their service and the “denial of any wrong” that their staff displayed. I will probably not patronise this branch anymore.

KFC STAFF ALLEGEDLY TOLD WOMAN “YOU ORDER 1 CHEESE FRIES, WHY NEED 2 KETCHUP!”

0

Ordered 3 ice milo, 1 cheese fries. Was given 2 pkts chilli sauce, then i ask for another 2pkts tomato sauce coz my 3 children don’t eat chilli.

The staff (short curly hair plump chinese auntie) trying to discipline me say YOU ONLY ORDER 1 CHEESE FRIES, WHY U NEED 2 PKT TOMATO SAUCE, U WANT 2 PKT TOMATO SAUCE, THEN U GIVE ME BACK 1 PKT OF CHILLI SAUCE TO ME.

How much of tomato sauce i eat, they need to keep track? Coz of 1 pkt of ketchup also want to bargain with customers.

Stop saying everything increase price then must save this n that… when you don’t give straw, your drinks also never reduce price.. when the chicken getting smaller, they also charging the same price..

when the drinks puts lots of ice than the drink itself, the price also remain the same. Now chilli and ketchup also want to control how much we eat..

CAR IN KAKI BUKIT BURST INTO FLAMES, 1 SEND TO SGH, 20 EVACUATED

SCDF said that the fire took place on Christmas Eve at about 1.20 PM.

At least 20 people were evacuated from the scene and 1 person send to Singapore General Hospital

“Patients who sustained smoke inhalation or serious burn injuries but are in stable condition, will be conveyed to Singapore General Hospital’s specialised Burn Centre instead of the nearest hospital”

Uncle taking it for granted

A man in the video said that no one has been injured but he was quickly corrected by a bystander who told him that a man was burned.

While the car was burning a man in the background said “unit number, unit number” telling others to buy 4D.

According to remarks said in the video, the vehicle is a Mercedes.

This is no small matter:

Some netizens commented and said that it is a small matter but it is far from one.

Patients who sustained smoke inhalation or serious burn injuries were more likely to die, according to a study published in the journal Burns. The study found that patients with smoke inhalation or serious burn injuries had a mortality rate of up to 50%. The study also found that the severity of the injury was an important factor in determining mortality. Patients with more severe burns had a higher mortality rate than those with less severe burns.

The study concluded that early detection and timely treatment of smoke inhalation and burn injuries could reduce mortality rates.

Here are what netizens think:

  • The brainless Toyota hiace van driver still park infront of the burning workshop . Later scdf come won’t ur van be blocking the fire truck and if the car explode later parts send flying hit on ur van then u want claim from who. See fire le Park else where la .
  • taukeh pun lai, taukeh pun tao tuah cheah tio sio
