M’SIAN EARNS $865.32 AFTER WORKING FOR 2 DAYS IN SINGAPORE WITH FOOD PANDA

0

It is not possible to answer this question as Food Panda does not publicly disclose salary information for its employees. Each employee’s salary is based on various factors, such as demand and the number amount of jobs completed.

However, a Malaysian man working in Singapore shared his earnings, earning a whopping $432 a day on Food Panda delivery!

“Two Days’ Income of a Food Delivery Driver”

Many friends were curious and asked me how much the driver earns.

Today I will be transparent and open to share with you.

The income for two days is $865.32 (RM 2800),An average of $432.50 (RM 1400) per day.

The job of a food delivery boy is often seen as a menial job, so many people are reluctant to try it.

In fact, food delivery is also a down-to-earth job, not cheating, stealing, stealing, or smuggling, and it is a legitimate income in exchange for hard work.

If you are unemployed and have no income, and your regular income is not enough, food delivery is a part-time job that can fill your stomach or increase your extra income.

Additional conditions:

1) Driving a car in Singapore

2) Singapore citizens or permanent residents(If you don’t have a Singaporean car, you can also deliver food by bicycle or on foot. Relatively speaking, the income cannot be compared with that of driving.)

Here are what netizens think:

  • Singapore car oil is also ridiculously expensive, unless you come to Jb to get oil
  • hey, let’s change careers
  • others thought it was easy to do, but they didn’t know that they had to do it on rainy and hot days. Occasionally, some Sohai people hit their bicycles and drove away immediately, and those who were far away on motorcycles had to push their bicycles back. They didn’t know. How much KM and how much physical strength is exchanged for the hard-earned money
  • Let’s go to Singapore to deliver food
  • delivers food, what are you waiting for?

NETIZENS SAID CAT KILLING BOY SHOULD NOT BE WALKING FREE, COULD BE NEXT JEFFREY DAHMER

Hi all,

As many of you knows that recently there’s a case of a young boy (identified as 10 years old) had thrown a community cat down from 22 storey after luring the poor kitty up into the lift with him.

Apparently he was caught in the act when trying to do it with his second victim (another community cat).

Authorities said that they are investigating but as he’s a minor and only 10 years old, he’s being let off and the “crimes” he committed were not valid as he’s only 10.

This is a serial killer in the making as cat feeders in the area suspected he’s involved in the cases where 5 other cats were “thrown” from high floors of the very same block.

Is Singapore law trying to make another Jeffrey Dahmer where he got thrills from killing animals from young and eventually into killing humans?

I believe the young boy only targeted comm cats now as they are “small enough for him to carry” since he’s just 10.

What if he grew older with more strength and eventually throw an unsupervised toddler down whom he lured from the playground? By then he’s still underage as well, will be walk around scotfree too?

I seriously think Singapore law need to be stricter when it comes to minors like him who are potentially a threat to the society next time.

Here are what netizens think:

  • How a person may turn out in future depends on his upbringing and environment. It may also be his cry of help when the community cat is loved by the community. Give him time to change.. and I believe there are some who are watching him closely as well.
  • Correction – That’s his 5th victim! The next day he was caught trying to throw another cat, that’s how they found out he threw Panther. This young person is dangerous and should be locked up in IMH for treatment!!
  • What I will suggest is for everyone even strangers when bump into him , counsel and educate him instead. Do community work , volunteer etc

Jerffrey Lionel Dahmer

Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer (May 21, 1960 – November 28, 1994) was an American serial killer and sex offender who committed the rape, murder and dismemberment of 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. Dahmer became known as the “Milwaukee Cannibal” after his arrest and trial.

Dahmer manifested an interest in dead animals. His fascination with dead animals may have begun when, at the age of four, he saw his father removing animal bones from beneath the family home. According to Lionel, Dahmer was “oddly thrilled” by the sound the bones made, and became preoccupied with animal bones

IKEA BASKET ALLEDGELY INFESTED WITH BUGS, WOMAN GOES BACK IKEA TO PROVE IT

IKEA is a global home furnishings retailer that offers a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at affordable prices.

A woman who bought 6 baskets from Ikea claimed that the baskets she bought were infested with bugs and she call IKEA.

She recorded a video alleging that the customer service on the phone told her that the bugs were from her home and not Ikea.

She decided to take a trip back to Ikea to prove her point by going to the same baskets and hitting it till the bugs fall on the floor.

How did IKEA respond?

She posted a second video on Tiktok of IKEA’s customer service email response.

The email wrote: “It is unlikely that this incident is related with the product itself”

TODAY news reported the item in question is no longer being sold at its physical or online stores.

This has been verified by searching their website, which returns no results for “KNIPSA.” The company is also conducting an internal investigation and seeking assistance from product developers at IKEA Sweden. In regards to the customer who experienced an issue with the product, IKEA Singapore has offered them a gift card for future purchases and encouraged any other customers who are dissatisfied with the baskets to contact the company.

However, as of 18 December, some users are still reportedly having issues.

Netizens’ comments

  1. With 5 days of phone down and I happily recontract to SingTel instead of other telco. Did not know singtel is so irresponsible to leave us without service for so many days. At this rate we might as well recontract into another telco since you are not able to fix your systems.
  2. (Singtel) Hi there, we regret to learn of this. Please restart your device and/ or reinsert the SIM card to further isolate the issue. If it still persists, kindly head down to our Singtel Shop to perform a SIM replacement.
  3. One of the most annoying thing is SingTel technical support staff did not even know that the servers was down till yesterday. Professionalism at it’s best

POSTAGE RATES SET TO BE INCREASED “IN TANDEM” WITH GST HIKE IN 2023 – SINGPOST

0

Singapore Post Limited (SingPost) will be raising postage, package delivery as well as doorstep parcel delivery rates from 1 January 2023 in tandem with the increase in Goods and Services Tax (GST) as well as exceptional inflationary cost increases across manpower, fuel and electricity.

The GST increase was earlier announced in February 2022 by the Ministry of Finance and will be staggered over two years: from 7% to 8% from 1 January 2023, and 8% to 9% from 1 January 2024.

With the increase in GST and significant rise in operating costs, there is an imperative need to moderate the prices of SingPost’s products and services, in order to support the fulfilment of deliveries in a sustainable manner.

Rates of selected domestic mail services to go up between 2 and 10 cents by 2024

SingPost will be adjusting the rates for the following services:

Basic Services (letterbox delivery, no tracking capabilities)

Basic Mail – Standard Regular: The rates for the first two weight steps of 20g and 40g will be raised from 30 cents and 37 cents to 31 cents and 38 cents respectively on 1 January 2023. The associated stamps – 1st Local and 2nd Local stamps – will be priced at 31 cents and 38 cents respectively from 1 January 2023.

From 1 January 2024, these two weight steps will be raised to 32 cents and 39 cents respectively.

The adjustments in rates are inclusive of the increase in GST, as well as reflect the exceptional cost increases. The last revision to rates took place nine years ago, in 2014.

Customers holding existing 1st and 2nd Local stamps may continue using these stamps after 1 January 2023 and 1 January 2024 without having to top up the difference in postage.

GST is not applied on all other Basic Mail services for the public, including Standard Large and Non-Standard, hence their prices will remain unchanged.

Tracked Services (with tracking capabilities)

  1. Tracked Mail, now priced between $2.55 and $3.40, will see an increase from 1 January 2023. There will be an increase of 5 cents for items weighing up to 20g from 1 January 2023, and an increase of 5 cents for the 40g weight step from 1 January 2024. For items weighing up to 100g, 250g and 500g, there will be increases of 5 cents from 1 January 2023 and 1 January 2024 respectively.
  2. The Registered Service (Singapore) fee will be revised from $2.24 to $2.27 from 1 January 2023, and to $2.30 from 1 January 2024. This fee is payable on top of the applicable postage rates.
  3. Postage-paid products smartpac are delivered to the letterbox and trackable from the time they are posted until delivery. Now costing $2.15 each for smartpac Small and Medium and $3.15 for smartpac Box, there will be an increase of 5 cents from 1 January 2023 for these products. For the smartpac Box, there will be an additional increase of 5 cents from 1 January 2024.
  4. The Speedpost Standard delivery fee within Singapore will be revised from $6 to $6.10 from 1 January 2023, and to $6.20 from 1 January 2024.

SingPost committed to serving the needs of our customers

Ms Neo Su Yin, Singapore CEO, SingPost, said: “Singapore offers one of the lowest postage rates in the world for a developed nation. Like our customers, SingPost has also been bearing the impact of inflationary cost increases across manpower, fuel and electricity that have risen significantly. The adjustment in rates will help us maintain our service offerings and high service standards, and enable us to operate sustainably with the GST hike. We remain committed to keeping our postal service relevant in the eCommerce age, bringing value to, and better serving the needs of our customers.”

ASH & PIKACHU’S STORY ENDS, POKEMON TO HAVE NEW PROTAGONISTS IN 2023 – END OF AN ERA

0

The Pokemon series will have new protagonists from 2023 onwards, with the story of Ash Ketchum and Pikachu coming to an end after 25 years of adventures.

The pokemon company said in an announcement on 16 December that they will be airing a special 11-episode arc to commemorate Ash and Pikachu’s journey, as they bid goodbye to the duo.

The new series will have two protagonists and will premiere in Japan in April next year.

This comes in the wake of Ash Ketchum finally winning the World Championship in the series, meaning that he has finally achieved his dream of becoming a Pokemon master, a dream that he set out to achieve back in 1997.

The commemorative episodes that serve as an epilogue to Ash and Pikachu’s journey will be airing in Japan from 13 January 2023 onwards, before the new series airs.

Characters such as Misty, Brock and Gary could also return as featured characters.

GENTING LANDSLIDE DEATH TOLL RISES TO 24 – DEAD MUM & CHILD FOUND EMBRACING EACH OTHER

0

The death toll for the tragic landslide at Genting Highlands has since risen to 24, according to Malaysia’s Disaster Management Agency as of 17 December, 5pm.

Rescuers reportedly found a dead mother and daughter duo under the rubble embracing each other, near the riverbank.

Their bodies were found near the riverbank at about 4.40pm under some rubble, and the child was believed to be about 3 years old, as her mother held her in her arms.

The two bodies were the 17th and 18th casualties of the tragedy.

So far, 4 men, 13 women, 5 boys and 2 girls have been killed in the landslide, with 9 more people still missing as search and rescue efforts continue.

The Fire and Rescue director of Selangor said that the chances of survival for the remaining missing people are slim.

He cited the lack of oxygen in the soil and the pressure of the soil on the body which makes it difficult for anyone to continue breathing as the reasons.

He did, however, add that there could still be survivors, nonetheless.

VIVIAN BALAKRISHNAN’S GRANDSON BORN STILLBORN – “GRIEF IS THE PRICE WE PAY FOR LOVE”

0

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan’s grandson was born stillborn, according to a Facebook post by his son Mark Balakrishnan.

Sharing Mark’s lengthy Facebook post about his son’s passing, Vivian quoted Queen Elizabeth II’s quote and said “grief is the price we pay for love.”

Here is Mark’s post

Our third child, Evan, is perfect, without blemish or sin.

He was stillborn on Wednesday. Grief and heartache have overwhelmed us.

Yet, he has given us so much joy as we watched him grow for 35 weeks, as Erin and Ethan sang to him, and as we felt his kicks. He gave us hope as we planned for a future together. He gave us a real, tangible joy that will stay in our hearts.

As his earthly parents, we could not do enough to keep him and bring him up. But he’s now being embraced by the almighty heavenly father, one who can do all the things we couldn’t, and we know he will watch over our baby and hold him tight.

We had one evening to hold him, to be a family, and to tell him we love him. I had one short walk with him, not to the park, but to the mortuary. Still, we got to go as father and son.

Nothing will ever make this ok, and no explanation will ever suffice. Yet, we are at peace with this outcome, and choose to celebrate his life. Our marriage and our love for each of our children continue to grow.

Chances are, it’ll be some time before we see him again. Thankfully, we have grandparents in heaven, especially my Mama, so they are on babysitting duty for the time being.

We will always love you.

WOMAN PAID $220 FOR PLUMBING THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN, CONTRACTOR REFUSED TO REFUND

0

Some of you may recall, two months ago I posted about a sink-connection job that never materialised. The contractor, Epi Handyman, took $220 from us, but refused to refund us since there was no job done (ie sink connection). You may search for my previous post in this group for more details.

Anyway, the update is that we had taken this case to the Small Claims Tribunal. On both hearings, the contractor never turned up, though notice was served to the business entity at their registered address. In their absence, the Tribunal made the judgement for us to be awarded the full $220 which we had paid to the contractor, and issued a Money Order.

We had served this Money Order to the contractor and reminded him a number of times in text messages to pay us back, politely. However, it is now past the deadline for the Money Order, and it seems they are just not willing to pay. Messages on WhatsApp have been read but just no response, and they have gone silent on their Facebook page as well. It’s quite likely that they have simply abandoned this business name and set up another new business, and will just not pay us back.

The next step is to enforce the Money Order, which means to start civil proceedings in court. As the amount is just $220, it may not make much sense to incur more expenses just to recover this amount. But, there’s a sense of indignance – is this how the rogue players in the market get around the law, just by refusing to pay up, and hoping that the claimant will just drop the case?? If anyone has suggestions how to get this guy to pay us back, please let us know.

PS: For folks who may suggest going to CASE, I’ve checked their website and likely need to incur upfront cost of $50 thereabout for membership registration and etc. We’ve already spent $ on lodging this case in the Small Claims Tribunal, so it’s likely that spending more on such administrative expenses would erode whatever amount we are supposed to claim back.

PS: To meet the group rules I need to submit some proof that the event has occurred. This is the accordion pipe that the contractor insisted on installing under my sink, and which we said no to. I have a previous post on this event in this group, which I can’t tag here, but please do a search.

To admin, sorry, I think I can’t post court documents on a public platform but feel free to contact me for it if you want to see proof.
