CHILDREN SEEN PLAYING DANGEROUSLY ON 17TH FLOOR WINDOW LEDGE OF KL CONDO

0

Facebook user Reff Lia shared a harrowing video online showing a couple of children playing dangerously on the ledge of a window, on the 17th storey of a condominium in Kuala Lumpur.

To make things worse, it was also raining at the time, causing the ledge to be wet and slippery as the kids played dangerously.

Onlookers were horrified to see the children playing on the window ledge, with one of the kids even jumping up and down on the ledge.

The onlookers were also screaming at the kids to get their attention.

The Malay Mail reported that the incident occurred in Taman Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, on the 17th floor of a condominium.

The two children were playing obliviously to the dangers that they were in, and one of them was even dancing on the ledge.

The two children are reportedly 2 and 4 years old, according to The Star.

The video went viral online, catching the attention of the Malaysian authorities, and a report was then lodged, with the children’s parents being investigated and having their statements recorded.

Superintendent Ashari from the Wangsa Maju OCPD, said that the parents were reported at home at the time of the incident, and the police are investigating the incident under the Child Act.

KIND SAMARITANS VOLUNTEERED TO HELP ELDERLY UNCLE SELL HIS ICE-CREAM

0

Facebook user Larry Lai previously posted about an elderly 90-year-old man who sells ice cream outside Sim Lim Tower to make a living, and purportedly earning just $300 due to his business being slow.

Lai then shared an update last week, sharing that the elderly man recently had the help of three kind souls who helped him promote and sell his ice cream.

Larry’s post about the kind samaritans

Jacquelyn Goh, Nicole and Jenny helping to rara and sell ice creams for Uncle Ng.

Darn.

They are damn good !

IN ten minutes managed to sell 50 bucks of ice creams. Those who need sales staff can consider contact her

Outside Sim Lim Tower

Update: Thank you all.

We are sold out for the day and the second picture is the marvellous sales team that made it happened

Larry’s post back in September

Meet Ng Teak Boon, 90 years old.

Ng sells ice cream outside Sim Lim Tower. Not Sim Lim Square. He used to sell normal ice cream like many ice cream vendors. Ice cream with biscuits or bread. He don’t sell them anymore.

What Ng sells nowadays are those ice cream sticks type of ice cream and Cornetto. Business is slow and he makes a couple to three hundred bucks a month.

He lives alone in a HDB rental flat at Geylang Bahru. He is on the the Silver Support Scheme and receives a few hundred bucks every quarter from the Government. (This scheme payout is from $100-$900 every quarter and the payout differs based on the applicants assessment. I understand Ng receives $750).

He has five children and I do not want to share here why they did not look after him.

Jcch Julie Cheong bought me doughnuts for tea break. I therefore pass to him my $5 savings from the tea break, on top of the $1 for my ice cream stick.

He think he can live to 100 plus. Hope he is right. If you happen to pass by here , do buy a couple ice cream sticks from him so that he can live to realise his dream.

So, get an ice cream stick from Ng Teak Boon outside Sim Lim Tower. A little kindness from us is good for our souls too.

MAN DIDN’T FEED PET CAT ENOUGH FOOD & WATER UNTIL IT DIED, FACING 1.5 YEARS JAIL

0

25-year-old Khairulnizam Khan Kamalrozaman, was initially charged back in August with starving his pet cat to death, but his charge has since been amended to causing it unnecessary pain and suffering by not providing it with enough food and water.

What happened?

According to Channel NewsAsia, Khairulnizam’s offences took place from 25 December 2020 to 2 February 2021.

The cat was kept in his Sembawang flat, where he didn’t feed it enough water and food, resulting in the death of the cat.

He was expected to plead guilty yesterday (26 October) but requested an adjournment from the court to raise money for his wife who had just given birth 3 weeks ago.

He also claimed that he had an appointment with the Housing Board that he can’t miss because it would mean his flat being repossessed.

He was then granted an adjournment to December, where he will be pleading guilty to his offences.

GRANDMOTHER EATEN ALIVE BY GIANT PYTHON IN INDONESIA

0

A lurking predator, they catch their prey with dozens of sharp curved teeth and then kill it before swallowing it whole.

It is one of the few species of snake that occasionally preys on humans.

A grandmother was eaten alive after she went out into a rubber plantation to collect rubber sap, locals who went out to search for this missing could not find her.

But they managed to find a python which looks like he had just had a big meal.

After capturing the snake, they opened it up and found the remains of the missing grandmother.

Python strikes again and again

In 2018, a 23-foot python killed and swallowed a woman who had gone to inspect her vegetable garden on the island of Sulawesi in central Indonesia.

As happened in Sumatra, local residents caught the snake, split it open and found its body inside. His sandals, knife and torch were found nearby.

Last year, a 25-year-old man was swallowed whole by a python in Sulawesi. A man named Akbar was harvesting oil palm in his plantation when he was bitten by a snake.

When police searched the area, they found no trace of the farmer, but they did find a large python in a drainage ditch.

“They suspect the snake may have Akbar. When it was opened, Akbar was inside the snake,” said Mashura, a spokesman for the West Sulawesi provincial police.

Local official Salupiro Junaidi said villagers heard screams coming from the oil palm plantation the night before the farmer disappeared. “Residents opened the snake’s stomach and found Akbar was dead,” he said.

Batik pythons are not only dangerous on land. They are excellent swimmers and have colonized many islands within their own territory.

Pythons can swallow prey up to a quarter of their length and up to their own weight.

They are known to attack and eat crocodiles and, in one documented case, a species of sun bear found in Southeast Asia.

Sometimes they take more than they can handle. In 2005, a 13-foot-long Burmese python tried to swallow a 6-foot crocodile in the Florida Everglades, but the snake’s stomach exploded. Both animals died in the encounter.

MAN PRETENDED TO BE GYNAECOLOGIST TO GET WOMEN’S INTIMATE PHOTOS, JAILED 40 MONTHS

0

37-year-old Malaysian, Ooi Chuen Wei, pretended to be a gynaecologist from Gleneagles hospital in order to trick women into sending him photos and videos of their private parts.

He pleaded guilty to 6 charges of cheating by personation and was sentenced to 40 months imprisonment on 26 October.

He had managed to trick 35 women into sending him 919 photos and videos of their private parts from 2018 to 2021.

What happened?

Ooi started his scheme in 2016 by creating a fake Facebook profile pretending to be a female gynaecologist, contacting his victims via social media from 2018 to 2021, according to Channel NewsAsia.

He took the name Dr Janie Lee Yan Hooi, from Gleneagles Medical Centre and added both men and women as friends to look more legit.

To further increase his appearance of legitimacy, Ooi created Instagram and LinkedIn accounts with similar information about his fake identity.

He would send his victims template messages and offered to share a monthly medical plan for health consultations, claiming that Gleneagles had approved of it.

He would then ask them to send him videos of themselves massaging their private parts, providing them with step-by-step instructions on how to do it, claiming that it was to help him diagnose health issues to provide a suitable treatment plan for them.

He would then download and save the videos that the victims sent him.

One of the victims started getting suspicious in 2021 after doing research and finding out that Dr Janie Lee Yan Hooi isn’t real.

She then lodged a police report and Ooi was then arrested.

DOG OWNER STRUGGLING WITH EXPENSIVE VET BILLS FOR SICK DOG, MINIMUM FEES $10K

0

Facebook user Elizabeth Chong posted on Facebook seeking advice for her sick dog and how to fund the vet bills, with surgery costing a minimum of $10k.

Here is what she said

I would like to know how people are funding vet bills these days. Almost everyone I know with dogs needing surgery are quoted 10k minimum. Where are people getting the money to pay for treatments costing so much.

My dog was recently diagnosed with a suspected tumor. He is my husband’s support dog as my husband suffers from dementia and has heart issues. The last few years Giorgie has played caregiver by being a source of comfort to my husband who is in his 70s and is unable to care for himself.

I am currently unemployed as I am his main caregiver.

I am in a desperate situation as I do not know how I am going to fund my dog’s treatment and I do not want my husband’s dementia to worsen if I cannot get my dog nursed back to health.

On 25th Oct 2022, for the latest review, the ultrasound report showed there’s no mass in Giorgie’s abdominal but GI tract thickening, intestinal inflammation vs infiltrate neoplastic disease. Biospy suggested. In the meantime, Giorgie has not been eating since last Fri but was drinking. Unfortunately, each time he drinks, he’ll vomit. His weight today is 17.3kg down from 22.7kg in August.

My question is, despite all the tests, ultrasound and biospy done, I’ve no proper diagnosis! I’m told to prepare 10k for CT scans and hospitalisation. Do note, this fee is without any required surgery!

Giorgie means the world to my husband.

I know many people would say, why keep a dog when you can’t afford?? Over the years, he has provided me with tremendous emotional support as well. My husband fainted at the park when walking him, he sat by him.(This was shared by other dog owners.) Days when my husband was in and out of hospital multiple times, my Giorgie gave me a reason to shoulder on. He was concerned about his papa, following him closely in case he fell! Now my hubby has dementia but still he remembers his Giorgie. This dog is so amazing and we can’t imagine losing him at this point of time. His health spiralled down in such speed that it scared us! Each vet visit, something new came up! Today, the vet told me Giorgie’s heart sounded funny, has squeaking sound. Very abnormal.

So where does that leave us?

What other option can I have beside her suggesting that I put Giorgie to sleep?

I cannot imagine the impact on my husband’s dementia and health conditions if Giorgie has to be euthanized.
