Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, who is serving a 12 year jail term for the role that he played in the 1MDB scandal, has sued the Malaysian government, the prisons department and the Minister of Home Affairs after his request to attend the Dewan Rakyat (Malaysian Parliament) was rejected.
Najib filed an application at 1pm on 5 October for leave to initiate a judicial review of the decision of the Prisons Department to turn down his request to attend the Dewan Rakyat.
He claims in his lawsuit that he had been adversely affected by not being allowed access to parliament, his political officers and aides and his constituents in Pekan.
The convicted and shamed former politician is seeking an order to overturn the decision of the Commissioner General of Prisons to reject his request to access his officers and aides for parliamentary, constituent and legislative work.
Najib is claiming that he has a constitutional obligation to discharge his duties effectively as an MP, and that the rejection is a denial of the well-being of the Pekan constituency.
I knew a guy online 5 yrs back and we started a LDR. Fast forward a few months later, he kept borrowing money from me.
I knew he wasn’t the most decent person and had a bad past, but i am willing to accept the changed person. And of course, fearing a love scam, I got him to sign IOUs before borrowing money, till a point I got tired of signing and did an excel sheet instead.
The amount snowballed quickly to $50k and grew to a point that I exhausted my liquid savings and had to put a stop to it. We ended the relationship and made an agreement for him to pay back on a monthly basis interest free. He did it for a while but on an off he would disappear.
I had to keep chasing and texting and it was taking a toll o my mental health. It was then i decided that maybe a debt collector will be better and contacted a company. They are willing to take my case as an overseas assignment and assured me it will be ok.
Then they took a $5k as the fee to take on this case and covid storm happened. For the next 3 years I was in touch w this managing director but he kept putting me off saying he is trying n trying.. until recently he disappeared. I contacted the main company and realise he was not with the company since 1 yr ago.
Now the company just ask me to make a police report against him.
Felt very suay that my worst fears all came true and not sure how I should proceed from here.
A car was seen driving erratically and slowly before stopping at the junction of Keppel Road and Anson Road, after other motorists repeatedly honked at the vehicle.
The driver was later found sleeping at the wheel with his mouth wide open, before being arrested by the police for suspected drink driving.
The incident reportedly took place in the Tanjong Pagar area on 7 October at about 2.35am.
A video emerged online showing the Toyota Raize at a traffic light not moving at all despite the traffic light turning green, before starting to move really slowly and ultimately coming to a stop.
The incident was captured on the dashcam of a car that was behind it, and the rear-cam showed the car stopping in the middle of the road.
The erratic moving car was later seen parked at a carpark at Tanjong Pagar Complex, and the driver (who encountered the Toyota Raize), later called the police.
The man was seen sleeping at the wheel with his mouth open, and a breathalyser test was then done on the driver by the traffic police.
SFA is welcoming the move to lift the ban, and they are presently seeking clarification from their Malaysian counterparts on the details.
They added that live chicken broiler imports, which are chickens that are bred and raised for the purpose of meat production, can be resumed being imported from Malaysia to Singapore.
Despite the lifting of the ban, SFA added that they will continue to get Singapore’s chickens from a myriad of different sources.
They said that this will help to reduce the risk of supply disruptions, saying “Singapore will continue to face disruptions in our food supply from time to time, due to external factors.”
Ever since the ban from Malaysia began, Singapore has been importing fresh and frozen chickens from countries such as Thailand, the US and Australia.
TikTok user Terr (@pr00tpr00t), who is apparently a scare actor, shared a lengthy post on her profile urging for kindness from the public, as she shared how those in her industry get dehumanised by visitors at Halloween Horror Nights.
She shared how one of the female scare actors was groped by a group of guys who had initially thought she was a prop, and when they found out that she was a real person, they didn’t stop groping her.
She also shared how she had a girl who screamed at her face non stop from 5cm away, even after she had walked away from the visitor.
Here is what she said
short rant & PSA to everyone visiting HHN:
the more years i work as a scare actor for HHN, the more i realise how much people dehumanise us & forget that under all the makeup & costumes we’re human too.
every single person working as a scare actor has definitely experienced some form of harassment – be it people shoving us, shouting in our faces, saying intentionally mean things or even groping us —
I’ve heard of a group of guys who started touching a female scare actor initially thinking she was a prop & when they realised she wasn’t, they didnt stop & continued to GROPE her.
poor girl was too terrified to even move
over the weekend some girl literally stood 5cm away from my face & started screaming non-stop even after i walked away (btw we can tell the difference between whether you’re really scared-screaming or mockingly-screaming in our faces)

Lovely! Thanks for tackling irritating pests because every effort counts.
Thank you Taxi Uncle for making our roads great again!
This is good to help to bring safety awareness to the cyclists. Too many in Tampines. The first bicycle town in Singapore.
Minister of Health Ong Ye Kung said in a Facebook statement advising Singaporeans to get the bivalent vaccine over the 2nd booster shot, saying that it is just as safe.
Ong Ye Kung’s Facebook statement
I have received several questions since Friday’s MTF announcement. Here are the replies.
Is an infection considered a shot?
Yes, for purposes of achieving minimum protection. So if you have an infection, followed by two mRNA shots, you have minimum protection. But beyond minimum protection, infection is not considered as a substitute for a shot to keep up-to-date with your vaccination.
To keep up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccination, if you are 50 years-old or older and have achieved minimum protection, you should receive an additional dose within 5 months to 1 year of the last vaccine dose.
Where do I go to get the bivalent vaccine? Can I go to a private clinic?
The Moderna/Spikevax bivalent vaccine will be available at our Joint Testing and Vaccination Centres (JTVC).
Persons aged 50 and above, or those yet to achieve minimum protection, may walk into any JTVC offering the Moderna/Spikevax vaccines from 17 October 2022 onwards. You can refer to https://www.gowhere.gov.sg/vaccine to locate the nearest JTVC.
Do note that while VaccineGoWhere website also lists the nearest private clinics administering COVID-19 vaccines, the bivalent vaccine will only be available at JTVCs for now.
Can I skip my second booster and go straight to the bivalent dose?
Yes, you should. We have basically stopped counting boosters. You can just go receive the bivalent vaccine.
How safe is the updated bivalent vaccine?
Clinical studies show it has the same safety profile as the original Moderna/Spikevax mRNA vaccine, which has been administered over 3 million times locally. Serious adverse events (SAE) have been reported in about 6 in 100,000 vaccinations of the original formulation, and all have recovered or are recovering. HSA has also reported a declining rate of SAEs with further shots (i.e. even fewer have adverse reactions after taking boosters compared to taking primary series).
How safe is it to vaccinate young children under 5 years old?
Vaccination for children aged 6 months to 5 years with the Moderna/Spikevax vaccine is safe. Common side effects (such as injection site pain, fatigue, headache) were observed less commonly than in adults and subside within 2-3 days. SAEs are rare, with no cases of anaphylaxis or pericarditis/myocarditis observed in the clinical trial. To date, over a million doses have been administered in the US, with no safety concerns reported.
The owner of a minimart at Bukit Batok recently shared screenshots from his shop’s CCTV footage, showing three alleged thieves stealing from his minimart.
The owner of the minimart, Mr Huang, spoke to Shin Min Daily News that he had received a message from a member of the public saying that the girl in the CCTV footage was her daughter.
The woman said that the girl had not been home for days and felt helpless about not being able to manage her daughter.
SMDN reported that the woman had apparently cried for a long time upon seeing the facebook post, showing her daughter allegedly being up to no good again.
Huang told the Chinese paper that he hopes the group will come back to the shop and pay for the items that they took.
The mother of the girl also urged the shop owner to lodge a police report if the girl returns, so that she can go home and be reunited with her family.

Joining the insurance industry was the best decision of my life. as a person with many friends, i got into MDRT by leveraging on my friends’ trust and getting them to buy, buy and buy.
guess these months of cultivating friendships work, it’s like planting a seed, asking them out and listening to their stupid life stories in exchange for their trust, and eventually their money…
felt a little bad a lot of these friends now have an extra burden to pay for premiums, but then again i’m rich now so i’m laughing my way to the bank, literally.
lost a few friends along the way, but as my bosses teach me, friends who don’t benefit you aren’t your true friends – it they’re willing to support you, keep them by your side longer so as to leverage those money printers.
tip for aspiring advisors – never let them know too early you’re up for a sale from these potential clients haha

Giving insurance agents a bad name. Though I wonder if many are thinking like you behind the cliche “I want to help people” line.
Insurance is essential, insurance agents like you are not.
We are here dealing with a scammer rather than a professional. Very soon, all your friends will know what sort of person u r. “friends who don’t benefit you aren’t your true friends”. Then you have no real friends.
This is the kind of Insurance Agent that you wanted to avoid only want your commission
