WOMAN FALLS IN LOVE WITH MARRIED MAN WITH KIDS, SAYS SHE CAN’T CONTROL

0

Why no one loves me…

I’m friends with this guy for years. I’ve watched him start dating, get married, and become a father.

I’ve watched his babies grow up to become little toddlers and preschoolers. I didn’t consider him to be anything as I have already given up on settling down. I’m too messed up and I didn’t want to commit to anyone because I’ve had my heart broken all too many times.

I don’t believe in love and promises anymore.

Then I became attracted to him when he started to spend more time with me at work. I think I’m in love. He’s so caring and thoughtful even when he doesn’t expect anything from me. I’m surprised he can remember little details about me, what I like, and what’s my preference. He knows how I like my coffee done but I guess he remembers others’ preferences, not just mine. I feel so special whenever we connect. I can’t help what I feel. Is there something?

I try so hard to fight this feeling but I find myself drawn to him. I seek his presence. I find myself dreaming of what it’s like being with him. A part of me started to try and dig out info about his wife. She’s an acquaintance so I barely know her. I confided in a friend who knows her and instantly regretted it.

My friend shut me down, said I don’t even know if he likes me, I should just forget it.

Why do people like to straight away shut down my feelings? I’m not saying I want or that I can have him. Wouldn’t that be up to him? I know there’s nothing. Can’t I have these feelings without being judged? I didn’t do anything wrong and yet I’m already the bad guy.

Love is blind or not blind after all? Now I worry my friend will ruin my friendship with him. I don’t think I can bear it if I lose him.

WOMAN UNHAPPY TO SEE CHEATING EX HAVING A GOOD LIFE, EVEN AFTER 15 YEARS

0

Unable to let go of my ex

I’m married with two beautiful children but before my marriage, I had a relationship with this guy whom I thought will be the one. The relationship ended almost 15 years ago when we were in JC.

He cheated on me 3 times and finally, he decided to leave me, even when I was all ready to forgive him. After 15 years, I thought I have already gotten over him, but I got to know that he is married to a beautiful lady, and recently his wife gave birth to a baby girl.

He has been posting pictures of his cute little one, and I had this mixed feeling. Why are guys like him able to get a beautiful wife and have such a nice family? He has hurt me deeply and I find it so difficult to forgive him. And now with social media, he kept appearing and even when I have a great family now, I can’t help but ask why he is still leading a good life after hurting so many girls?

I know definitely I mean nothing to him, I just can’t stop comparing and asking why is he doing better than me?

Here are what netizens think:

  • Maybe you are entertaining a dangerous idea of what’s possible should both of you had remained together. The past is the past, count your blessings there’s where your focus should be
  • Social media is deceiving, we only get to see the good. U have 2 beautiful kids, start create beautiful memories with them on social media too.
  • Don’t believe what you see in social media. People are not as happy as they seem to be.
  • It’s time to move on. Marriage and other life events that he had do change people, for better or for worse. Karma will takes its course – for both good and bad deeds. We all will reap what we sow.

MAN WORKING IN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY SEES OLD CEO CARESSING YOUNG COLLEAGUES

0

I’m reaching 2 years in the construction industry.

Being an engineer is not exactly easy but I’m actually more disturbed by the drinking culture. It is nothing like the drinking sessions and clubbing during uni days.

I have witnessed my CEO (who is married and in his 60s) touching inappropriately and cuddling with my senior (who’s about 30) at almost every party. I’m trying to be neutral but my senior is also not very good at her job and I silently question her credentials every time she attempts to get things done.

Is this behaviour between colleagues common in your workplace?

Here are what netizens think:

  • That’s her unique value proposition that you don’t have. Making your boss feels good and happy is equally as important as getting the job done.
  • Not uncommon. It’s just that some people manage to hide workplace affairs well. If it doesn’t affect your work and opportunities directly, just close one eye and learn to look away.
  • Construction industry…. Aburden
  • That’s your CEO’s mistress and your future CEO you are trying to insult. You need to know who’s boss
  • U wish u would be cuddled right

YOUNG COUPLES SHARES WHY THEY DO NOT WANT TO HAVE KIDS

0

Any couples who chose not to have kids don’t mind sharing your experiences?

I.e. Do you regret the decision in some way or form?

P.S. 22 y/o male here, that’s planning to stay child free in the foreseeable future

Those who are supportive of having kids:

  • It should be a joint decision between you and your partner. Follow both your hearts too.
  • The regret for not having kids only comes into your body and soul during the late forties. Before forties, you have work, friends and family to keep you busy. That’s where you see those 40ish couples going for kids adoption.
  • A child is a joy.
  • If u dunwanna kid then dun hv a kid. No1 forces u. But dun wait till too late then chg your mind.

Those who are not supportive of having kids:

  • Really school holidays is it, so many things to think about, you think about this…
  • There’s nothing more selfish in this life than having a child. You are taking a person who doesn’t exist and forcing a lifetime on him/her without him/her having any say in the matter.
  • Young man, if you are adamant about being child free, and you are heterosexual then go for a vasectomy. The procedure costs about $1000 if arranged through a Polyclinic and is Medisave claimable.
  • Child-free and very happy. If you can’t stand having your current lifestyle upended, better don’t entertain the thought of it. It’s also a form of social responsibility that you don’t bring unwanted kids into this world and contribute to the delinquency stats.
  • Kid = more stress, education fees, insurance fees, medical fees, food and more bills and etc

GRABFOOD CUSTOMER SENDS VULGARITY IN THAI TO EATERY, WHO REPORTS IT TO POLICE

0

A Thai restaurant in Killiney Road, 87 Just Thai Killiney, took to Facebook to share how they workers received an insulting order from a GrabFood customer.

The restaurant, situated at 57 Killiney Road, received a GrabFood order for a packet of Pad Thai on 9 September, and staff members noticed that there was a message attached to the order.

The message, in bold, was a vulgarity in Thai, which loosely translates to “your genitals die (or something like that)”.

The owner of the restaurant, said that his Thai workers were very upset at receiving the message and even refused to tell him what it meant because they were so angry.

The Grabfood customer’s name was “a—–e” and they started a conversation with the restaurant via the GrabFood app by saying “F you”.

The customer then sent them a message saying “one star”, which presumably meant that he was going to rate the restaurant one star.

Tan then complained to Grab about the customer’s language and asked them to cancel his order, and he then lodged a police report against the customer.

WOMAN HIRED MOVERS ONLINE, DAMAGED HER FURNITURE & REFUSED COMPENSATION

0

Facebook user Pauline Soon shared how she hired a moving company from Carousell to help her move her furniture.

She said that the movers allegedly damaged her bed frame during the moving process, and they allegedly refused to provide compensation.

Here is what she said

“Dear friends, please help me to SHARE as much as u can!

I engaged this *name redacted* services from carousel and they damage my bed frame during the moving. Then they refuse to do reasonable compensation.

Please share around so that people who plans to engage them will think twice and not regret like me.”

Netizens’ comments

  1. no wrap properly before moved?? aiyo
  2. What’s the fine print prior to moving? To move only or does it also cover damages over the process?

If it isn’t stated in the fine print, then you’re at the losing end. did you get insurance? no? You can’t do anything about it.

Some Carousell biz are not registered, side hustle,

P.S. I’ve searched *name redacted*, I believe the company doesn’t have insurance. The listing description doesn’t indicate any coverage.

WOMAN USED PAYNOW TO TOP UP SHOPEE WALLET, MONEY DEDUCTED BUT NOT CREDITED

0

Facebook user Koh Eunice shared how she used her PayNow account to top up her Shopee Pay wallet, and the transaction went through and money was deducted form her bank account.

However, the money was not credited into her Shopee Pay wallet, and she allegedly waited 1.5 hours to speak to a Shopee agent who purportedly ignored her halfway through the chat.

Here is what she said (SIC)

Beware of topping up Shopee pay wallet using paynow.

Topped up my shopee pay wallet on 9 Sep using paynow – the transaction went through and money was debited from my bank account, but was NEVER credited into the Shopee pay wallet.

Shopee customer service is also atrociously bad – queued 1.5hours to chat with agent but the agent decided to completely ignore me midway through the chat – very rude and unprofessional. They reverted the next day acknowledging the issue was their fault but I could only receive a refund in 5 business days. This issue arose because of their buggy system, but I have to tank all the consequences, including forfeiting Shopeepay only vouchers that I had bought to use on 9.9 but would have expired by the time they finally finished taking their own sweet time refunding me back my money. Emailed them to ask if there will be refund for these forfeited vouchers, received a copy-paste templated reply filled with trite hollow statements that did not address my request at all -.-

This issue with top-ups via paynow failing to be rightfully credited is a super common issue and you only need to look at the ShopeePay fb page to see the dozens of reviews from customers affected. Shopee should really stop trying to promote shopee pay and remove the unfair $1 admin fee for credit card top-up if it is unable to ensure the reliability of its fintech services. Only use Shopeepay if you are willing to take the risks of your money disappearing during top-ups and the stresses of dealing with their utterly useless customer service.

PRC WOMAN SUDDENLY STEPPED IN FRONT OF MOVING CAR, GETS HIT & LIE DOWN ON ROAD

A PHV driver shared how a PRC woman suddenly emerged and stepped in front of his car with her back facing him, resulting in herself being hit by the car.

He thought he was going to be penalised but was surprised when he got a letter from the traffic police saying that action has been taken against the pedestrian for failing to follow traffic rules.
