MAN SECRETLY TOOK FULL-BODY PHOTO OF GIRL INSIDE MRT, GIRL TRAUMATISED

0

Got photo of my body taken by uncle on mrt

Just still kinda shaken up honestly posting here just because I’m full of regret and blaming myself.

I know he was taking pictures of me because I’ve been glancing at him for a while now in the mrt and he had his phone angled at me and everything, would pretend to fiddle with it if he caught me looking at him.

Stared at him for a good minute after he pointed his phone at me upright for a really long time and when he noticed he panicked and his phone slipped a bit to tilt downwards, saw he was on the camera app, could tell because I could clearly see the white circle to take pics and the moving surroundings through the camera screen.

I didn’t know what to do because I didn’t want to cause a scene. I’m paranoid of going viral and stuff and there are many instances of like people blaming the girl for what she was wearing or whatever esp in like comments.

You know, the usual “if she dress liddat she should expect to be taken photo of” or wtv. I shouldn’t even be trying to justify myself but I’m just naturally more endowed I guess and sometimes my tops don’t fit me properly.

I dunno man I hate myself so much just alighted at next stop and tried to forget this happened. Really didn’t know what to do, 50 year old man probably has pics of my body in his phone now

There’s nothing to regret or blame.

If this old cheekopeh took some photo, it’s not the end of the world. He will probably share to his WhatsApp etc but in the end, you broke no laws so you don’t need to panic or be afraid

Next steps is up to you. If this has pissed you off enough, make a police report and force the issue. If you don’t want to, either because it’s a hassle or because ps to explain to the police, that’s fine too. In some cases like this you can’t change the outcome, you can only change your response to the situation.

MAN REGRETS HIRING BROTHER TO WORK FOR HIM, DIFFICULT TO FIRE HIM

0

I(m22) am the co-owner of a business with my father. My dad first started it about 2 years ago and I later joined him a year ago and started managing it for him. My brother who we will call “J”(22) worked in the business for abit but only really started working in the business at the beginning of this year.

This year “J” and our childhood friend who we will call “A”(m22) wanted to work overseas so my father asked me to be the co-owner of the business with him seeing that my brother and our friend were leaving. (“A” and “J” were working for the business during this time as normal employees.)

But a few months later their plans fell through due to the lack of funds and the difficulty of leaving the country. But that’s okay they still have their jobs with us. And they have been working for us since they couldn’t go overseas.

Now to the point of conflict, “J” has openly said he doesn’t see me as his boss. He also has refused to do work I directly ask or tell him to do(Most of the time he does listen but sometimes he doesn’t), because he either doesn’t think it’s necessary or he is upset at me over something but the thing is it’s his job to do those things. The way he speaks to customers he doesn’t like would get him fired at any other job, which he also jokes about. Also his job isn’t difficult, he is basically a cashier/salesperson.

The main reason “J” doesn’t see me as the boss is cause I don’t work as long as him where I end at 1 he ends at 5, or the fact he works on Saturdays and I don’t. But I don’t have transport at the moment to go to work for that long or on those days because of my carpool arrangements. I still do work at home though through customer service and running of ads and admin which they don’t do. And “J” brings up the fact I don’t work that long a lot.

He acts like he doesn’t care if I fire him. “A” on the other hand works hard, we can joke more and he knows when the joke ends and when work begins. Lastly, I have spoken to “J” about him being rude in general to me and I apologised if I did anything to hurt him and he also has apologised if he has said anything means but he still challenges my authority.

The reason I think might be the bad one is, because he is moving out from our dad to his own place with “A” and his gf so if I fire him how would he pay his share? Also most of the time he is alright so it’s every now and then he is like this but I have spoken to him already about the way he is without change. Is there something I’m missing, am I the asshole for the way I’m handling it? I don’t know.

Additional info you might need: Our dad has two businesses and I do admin for both. “J” and I get on along fine for the most part but I have dealt with a lot of smart comments from him time to time as well as the occasional fat joke.

Should I fire him?

FAMILY LIVING PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK, LEFT WITH $69 IN BANK UNTIL PAYDAY

0

I have a full time job, married w/children.. My wife stays at home with the kids.

We seem to be living paycheck to paycheck, especially this past month. Most recently, i’ve had a vehicle break down and had to spend $500 to get it fixed, and now we’re left with $69 in our account and i have to stretch that out over the next 10 days until i get paid again.

I and my wife would really like for her to stay at home with the kids, but we’re wondering if there is any sort of “side hustle” she could do from home to help out?

Or anything that has helped you manage your money better?

We have a good family, we’re happy together.. it just seems like our only stress is money. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Netizens’ comments

The very first thing you need to do is create a budget and track your spending. If you don’t know where the money you’re bringing home now is going, chances are you won’t know where extra money is going either.

Track every dollar for a few months and figure out how you can trim the fat and stay within your means. Your wife can take a WFH gig or ‘side hustle’, but you have to set your house in order, my friend.

In the here and now, maybe consider trying to sell a few high dollar items you may have that you can live without? Just my tuppence.

19 Y.O GIRL GETS PREGNANT AFTER BF DEMANDS FOR DAILY “EXERCISE”

0

My boyfriend and I have been together for around two years. I’m nineteen and he’s twenty-one. My S drive is almost nothing, it always has been. I think he views it as this problem that I have that he can magically fix with S.

I tried to have S as and when I can, but most of the time either my mental or physical health gets in the way.

For example, I have severe anxiety and depression. I will sometimes lie in bed all day and just sob. He will comfort me and cuddle with me. But the cuddling always turns into him getting horny and wanting S. He gets very very pushy with it and I often feel like I can’t say no. But when I do say no, he gets all disappointed and goes off to sulk downstairs.

I would understand his point of view if our S life was slim. But it’s not. We will sometimes have S upwards of three times a day (the exact reason why I’m knocked up at the moment). But as soon as I say no or that I need a break, he acts like he hasn’t had S in months.

He also has this problem of continuing to beg me for S even when we run out of rubber. This has resulted in me getting pregnant. I know what you’re thinking. “Why don’t you just put up a boundary to not have S without protection?” Listen, I’ve tried. But he’s so black and white about physical affection that if I say no to S, it means that I get ZERO physical love of any kind. I love to hug, kiss, cuddle, and do all of the other lovey-dovey physical things with him. But if I withdraw from S, it means I withdraw from all of the affection that I crave with him.

So I often just tell myself to get it over with. Because I know that when I say no, he’ll be back in a few hours to ask again.

And now, I’m pregnant at 19! I’m of course not going to keep it and he’s on board with that too. I never realized out painful pregnancy can be. My breasts are crazy sensitive, I’m cramping worse than I ever have before, and my S drive is officially at zero percent.

I’ve expressed to him the pain that I’m in and how traumatic this experience has been for me and he’s done his best to be there for me and to comfort me. But he hasn’t stopped asking for S, it’s increased tenfold. I don’t understand how a man’s sense of basic human decency can be clouded by an unmoving need for S.

I feel so unloved because of his high S drive. I hate that he will actively not see/ignore my well-being because he needs to F me constantly is driving me into a pit of anxiety and depression. I’m not even sure what to do. I don’t want to leave him because I love him a lot. I don’t know where I’d be without him. I just wish he would listen to me for once when I say no.

WOMAN ASHAMED OF BOYFRIEND, TELLS PEOPLE THAT HE IS HER “COUSIN”

0

My (35M) gf (35F) tells her coworkers that we are cousins

My gf and I have been together for 6 years. She keeps hinting at wanting to get married and talking about what her wedding will be like someday.

So I’ve decided to take the hint. I bought an engagement ring a week ago and am planning to pop the question sometime soon.

Well, over the weekend she had a work function. This was the first time she’s invited me along. I’m not super outgoing, but I was kind of looking forward to meeting all these coworkers she talks about so much.

For some reason, every time we talked to someone, she introduced me as her “cousin”. I thought it was a joke at first, but she kept at the whole day.

When we were driving home I asked her what that was all about, and she said she “didn’t want people to have the wrong impression”.

When I asked what that meant, she said she didn’t want to talk about it anymore, and I shouldn’t be so upset. She then switched the conversation to her favorite TV show.

Why would she introduce me as her cousin? Should I insist on her telling me why she did that before I propose?

Netizens’ comments

  • Hope you kept the receipt for that ring. She’s most likely got someone at work that she likes.
  • Tell her that since you two are now cousins in her eyes you will be returning the ring as you dont think it is right to marry your own cousin
  • The only thing I can think of is her coworkers already met her BF and it wasn’t you.

50 Y.O+ MOTHER WANTS TO GET PREGNANT CAUSE DAUGHTER ALSO HAVE BABY

0

For context: I (22M) have 2 siblings (22F and 23F) and I am the youngest (the youngest twin). But we are all adults now.

This all started a few years ago when my oldest sister got pregnant with my nephew. It was the first baby of our generation and of course, everyone was overjoyed it was a boy because they are so rare in the family.

I won’t sugarcoat it. My sister was spoiled during her pregnancy. She was driven to all her doctors’ appointments, nearly every day someone was buying something new, with every craving someone was ready to go get it, and she even had 2 baby showers. When my nephew was born it was the happiest my family had been since my grandma died.

My mom, however, wasn’t.

Everytime someone would do something for my sister, she expected it for herself. I remember I bought my sister a pedicure and paid extra for a foot massage and my mother was pissed at me for days for not getting her one. “I’m the baby’s grandma!” She would say constantly.

We all ignored it for the sake of my nephew.

Well, my mom just recently sat me and my siblings down and explained how she wanted to try getting pregnant again. She wasn’t asking us our opinion, more like informing us that it was going to happen. My sister was excited for someone who could be a playmate for her son. My twin was hesitant and I was livid. For privacy reasons, I won’t give my mother’s medical history, but just that is enough for concern not to mention the fact that she’s 50+ years old.

I asked her how she planned to live if she couldn’t work while pregnant as my father has never been in the picture. “Well one of my kids shouldn’t mind taking care of me.”

I asked her how she planned to take care of a baby when she was back to work. “Someone in the family can babysit.”

I asked her how she planned on buying baby stuff because she’s not good with saving money at all. “Everyone will pitch in for the baby as they did with your sister.”

And no. They wouldn’t. My mom has burned quite a lot of bridges for her emotional immaturity. And one very high-risk pregnancy will not change that. Not to mention the fact that my siblings and I were raised by our grandparents because she couldn’t.

So I sat her down and tried to explain how this would be a terrible idea for everyone involved. But she got upset and started yelling about how I need to be supportive and I’m just jealous because I won’t be the youngest anymore. I let my emotions get ahead of me and I called her insane and left.

My siblings and family have called to tell me I need to apologize and that I was way out of line. I “don’t have to like her trying for another baby but I need to be supportive.” Which I feel would be the case if we were talking about literally anyone else. But nobody else thinks the same.

FATHER-OF-3 UNEMPLOYED FOR 14 YEARS, GETS INCOME FROM RENTED-OUT HDB FLAT

0

I have a friend whom i know for approximately 20 years. He was 16 years old when i met him at my workplace. Time really files, now we are both in our late 30s.

I remember he left school after completing primary school studies and started work early as a delivery assistant. However, he stopped working at ard 22 years old after he got married. He has stopped working since till now.

Almost 14 years of being unemployed. He has 3 kids and a wife and rely on the income coming from his and his mil hdb that they rented out (he is living and/ or bunking his family (wife and 3 kids ) together with his mil and mother in a 4 room hdb owned by his mum.

Although this is a good option to have more income but i supposed there would be lots of conflicts since his wife, kids , mother and mil live together…

I did advise him to get a job since he is fir and healthy so that he can earn a decent earning to better support the family, etc.

These advices were raised several times over the past 2 decades but he kept saying he was disintegrated from the society and doesnt wana work. He said he is happy with how life is and relies on government subsidies in household expenses and kids educational fees etc.

I was terribly upset upon hearing this time after time. I meant firstly, if he works, he can get more income with cpf to somehow retire better eventually.

Secondly, the government subsidies & taxpayers money are supposed to help those really in need and not for those who are well and fit to be employed and choose not to work.

What are your thoughts? Is my friend lazy or is he really feeling inferior and lack confidence in re-entering the workforce?

Netizens’ comments

  • I think you really too free. If he can quit at 22, the age where most have the most energy AND THEN unemployed for 14 years, he must have hated working and lazy af. And what makes you think his family need his contribution? His wife’s family may be richer than you think. You are terribly upset? He’s ur son or wat. Raised this to him several times over past decade? Don’t kpo la, work on yourself better.
  • His life. His business. His burden. This is Not your circus and Not your monkey. So Why stress yourself? Your life not enough stress to waste your own time in peoples life? Very problem free? Your friend is grown! He knows what he is doing!

GIRL REFUSES TO DATE GUYS WHO LIVE WITH THEIR PARENTS, ASKS “IS IT TOO MUCH”

0

Is it really too much to refuse to date guys who still live at home with their parents?

I get that it’s normal here for people to live at home well into their adult life, but it’s just not for me.

I get so many excuses like:

“Housing is expensive and no one can afford to buy a home / waiting to BTO” Okay? People can rent. I rent. Nearly all of my friends rent. It’s doable. I’m not saying people have to buy a house.

“It’s normal for guys to live at home so you just have to accept it” Why do I need to accept it? I don’t. I can just do what I’m doing now and refuse to date guys who still live at home.

“Why don’t you just go to a hotel room then?” Because I don’t want to feel like a call girl or that I’m sneaking around behind their parent’s back.

“My parents are fine with me bringing girls over” Good for them, but I’m not going to do anything when their parents are RIGHT THERE IN THE SAME HOUSE. It’s wildly uncomfortable.

It’s a sign of independence. My experiences of dating guys who still live at home isn’t good. I’ve had guys try to sneak me into a completely dark house because it’s 2am and of course their parents are asleep. Guys who had to update their parents on their whereabouts, report when they leave, if they’re going to get back late. Guys who still let their parents/maid feed them, do their laundry, do their dishes, do all the house chores. Guys who tried to change a date location because their parents didn’t think it was a good idea.

Ever since I’ve started only dating guys who’ve moved out, I don’t run into issues like that anymore.

There’s not quite any replacement for living alone. I want to date a guy that’s used to living alone and handling all the things that come with it. Someone who’s completely cut the apron strings.

I don’t think that’s a high standard at all, so I’m tired of getting so much flak for it

MAN CUT TIES WITH HIS “PRINCESS SISTER” CAUSE SHE IS A GOLD DIGGER

0

My sister is 28. She has had a large dating history and oftentimes breaks up with these great men because she believes she can find better.

A lot of it is due to the fault of our parents for spoiling her and telling her how special she is. She is beautiful, but by no means is she the supermodel she sees herself as.

Today, she complained that she’s been single for a while and dating has been so hard because no one has been able to reach her standards. Her last boyfriend was a lawyer, who was successful and proposed to her.

She rejected him because she thought she could find better. She even said that “she doesn’t really care about how sad these guys are after she dumps them.” She even keeps her options open while she has a boyfriend to make sure she can get the best guy out there. Her last boyfriend loved her, and she cheated on him with a rich guy who had a yacht.

She later found out that he was renting the yacht and it wasn’t actually his so she didn’t dump her boyfriend for him. That’s just some of the many horrible things she has done to her ex’s

She said today that she is “ afraid of being alone. All her friends are getting married, and no one is good for her and that she’s worried about being single forever.” I told her,” you should be, you think you’re better than you actually are and you only care about yourself. In my opinion, you’re better off being single than hurting people for your own self-interest. You’re a terrible person, a gold digger, and don’t be surprised when you end up with some abuser who treats you like an escort when you treat men like an ATM.

Im glad you’re feeling this so maybe you’ll have some remorse for your horrible actions. “

She was shocked to hear my response. As well as my parents and brother. My mom told me to apologize and I said “no. She deserves this. It’s your fault for not speaking up earlier and that’s why she’s like this. You guys enabled her behaviour for far too long and that’s why she’s such a horrible person. Enjoy dinner with your princess daughter.”

I left and haven’t spoken to them since. I plan on not speaking to my sister in the near future because I want to protect my reputation by not associating with her.
