MRT AUNTIES, FROM RUSHING INTO THE TRAIN TO SQUEEZING OTHERS

0

I don’t understand why some MRT commuters (especially aunties) are so inconsiderate and selfish. this has happened a few times to me and i have seen it happen to other people.

sometimes you are just leaning against the glass beside the door and minding your own business.

a random aunty will appear and lean very near to you, trying to displace you from the glass so that they can stand there.

there are variations to this tactic. some will lean against the metal pole with their back touching your arm, some will even squeeze beside you, shoulder to shoulder.

eventually, you buay tahan this close proximity and move away from the glass, then they will shamelessly and happily occupy the space they have been coveting.

it is really ridiculous, if they are indeed in need of some place to rest, they should just ask the people sitting on the reserve seat to give up their seat.

i also wonder if these aunties have a specific type of people that they choose to bully. so far i have only seen it happen to younger guys and girls that will usually just move away and let them stand. couldn’t these old people just open their mouth and say can you let me lean because i am tired etc instead of physically pushing people until they get what they want.

Here are what netizens think:

  • Most likely those aunties are generally more or less losers in life, kinda unhappy with themselves and with the world, often lonely & sort of depressed. So such selfish & bullying behaviour is common with them.Sometimes I just feel a bit pity for them and try to accommodate wherever possible. Sometimes the way they talk is kinda rude, but what to do!
  • Being uncouth bottom-feeders themselves, they already have nothing to lose. That’s why they thrive on these small “victories” against another person. You, on the other hand…Anyway, a nugget of wisdom I’ve picked up from somewhere: a smart person knows how to get out of trouble, a wise one knows how to avoid it.Do pick and choose your battles. It makes for a quieter and enjoyable ride for all.
  • My RBF sends a strong message not to come near 1m of my proximity especially during the last two years. Yup I don’t tolerate people who invade my personal space. Have told people off in public before ie the ones who are constantly at my back in queues.
  • Not just in MRT, they feel self entitled everywhere. Including cutting your queue in supermarkets etc. I hope they can just ask politely.

SOCIAL GAMBLING AT HOME TO BECOME LEGAL FROM 1 AUGUST ONWARDS

0

It will soon be legal for family and friends to engage in social gambling at homes, including mahjong and poker, under the new Gambling Control Act from 1 August onwards.

However, the gambling needs to be conducted inside a person’s home and residence and not be conducted for business.

It is also illegal for persons under the age of 21 to gamble under the new rules, except for at Singapore Pools where those above 18 can gamble.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said on 31 July that a new regulatory authority will be overseeing the gambling under the new rules of the Act, which takes effect tomorrow.

The functions of the Casino Regulatory Authority will be taken over by the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA), and they will be granted powers to regulate all forms of gambling in Singapore.

MHA said that the government aims to respond to “emerging gambling products” and “stay ahead of technological and gambling trends”.

MHA also added that online social gambling is banned because there are difficulties to prove that the gamblers are qualified for the activities, such as their age.

COUPLE GETS COVID, HUSBAND MAKES WIFE DO EVERYTHING WHILE HE PLAYS GAMES

My husband is so lazy!?

It’s unfortunate that we took turns to have Covid.

My husband gotten Covid a week back and I took care of him, buying food back, cooking and housework so he can rest well. On his 6th day, I tested positive too.

It’s truely very torturous as I have pain all over, especially in my joints. I am so tired that I just sleep all day.

I told him I need him to help me get food during the first 2 days at least and it was pretty fortunate that he is still on MC. And also he has to do some streaming of f clothes else he doesn’t have clothes to wear to work on Monday.

But he just ask me to call food delivery instead while he sit there and play games all day. So for 2 straight days, we ordered in.

For the past 2 days, he don’t do the steaming of clothes, Sunday then last minute wake me up to ask me how to do this that. Then keep complaining difficult to use …bleh So I told him, he can choose not yo do it, but then he must wear wrinkled shirts to work lo.

In the end he also do it but grumble grumble grumble.

He still dare grumble ah!? Water no more already he also won’t boil! Last time ask him buy electric kettle (knowing how lazy he is), he say don’t want, normal kettle cheaper, can cook more… Etc, now ask him cook once, he cannot…

CHILDREN NOW CONTRACTING MONKEYPOX, MORE THAN 80 KIDS INFECTED

0

Most of the monkeypox cases to date have been men who had intercourse with other men, but it appears children are getting infected by the disease as well.

More than 80 children across several countries have been infected with the disease, according to a report by Bloomberg.

But with that being said, it only counts for a small fraction of the 18,000 monkeypox cases across the world.

It is also worth highlighting that most of the infected children contracted monkeypox through their household contacts, according to Bloomberg.

Dr Jay Varma, a professor of population health sciences, was cited as saying that anyone can contract the disease, with contact in the form of sharing clothes, towels, touching sores or prolonged skin-to-skin contact being able to spread the disease.

GUY’S GF SUDDENLY REVEALS THAT SHE HAS A SON, NOW HE WANTS TO DUMP HER

0

Great woman (39F) I’ve (31M) been dating for 3 months just told me she has a kid. It’s a dealbreaker for me but I don’t know how to end things without hurting her.

I started dating a woman about 3 months ago. We met on a dating app and immediately hit it off. We got along great and seemed to be a good match for each other.

We have fun and have been spending a lot of time together the past few months. Everything seemed great and I definitely saw something long term with her.

But the last time we met up, she casually brought up in a conversation that she has a 4 year old son. She had never mentioned him previously so I was pretty stunned about it.

I didn’t make it seem like a big deal but it is definitely a dealbreaker for me. I would have not dated her if I knew about this from the start.

I definitely want a child of my own in the near future and want to have a family. But I have no desire what so ever to be involved in the life of a child that isn’t mine.

So for me, there is no way to continue this relationship. But I’m just not sure how to end things properly .

The last thing I want to do is hurt her feelings and make it seem like she is the problem. I no way want to hurt her or make her feel bad about anything. I’m just not sure how to go about it. How do you guys recommend I end things amicably without hurting her feelings?

PRC WOMAN KENA SLAPPED BY FOOD STALL OWNER AS HER CHILD IS NOT BEHAVING

A child who was misbehaving in a food stall and the mother doesn’t care, the owner of the barbecue shop slaps the mother angrily telling her to teach her son properly!

The incident happened in China and she did not discipline her child and allowed her child to keep pulling the bottle opener next to the table at the barbecue restaurant.

Chinese media reported that the woman took her child to a barbecue restaurant on Monday (25th), but was beaten because her son’s behaviour angered the owner.

The online video showed that a boy was suspected of playing with a bottle opener in his hand. When the male shop owner saw it, he accused the boy’s mother: “Discipline your children.”

The boy didn’t stop his movements, it is unclear how the woman responded but the male shopkeeper said angrily, “You say it again, you say it again.” Then the male shopkeeper stepped forward and slapped the woman angrily.

The incident went viral on the Internet, causing heated discussions and polarized reactions from netizens. Some netizens said that the mother is indeed responsible for not taking care of the child, but the owner of the shop is also wrong.

There are also many people who pointed out that the video is missing a section, the full picture is unknown, and they will not comment.

Some netizens also said: “If the family education is good, such an old child should not be so skinny in public, and he will not listen to persuasion. It is definitely wrong for the shop owner to beat people, and a mother are dereliction of duty if they do not educate their children.”

The local police are already handling the matter. The man who hit the man was suspected of picking quarrels and provoking trouble and was sentenced to 7 days of administrative detention and fined 300 yuan (about $61).
