FATHER FOUND GUY INSIDE DAUGHTER’S ROOM, KICKS HER OUT OF HOME

0

My daughter is 18 and because I’m cautious and I’m aware that she’s becoming a young woman I’ve had all kinds of talks with her.

I came home a few nights ago and I noticed shoes outside the house that I didn’t recognize. I called for my daughter, nothing, I call for my daughter, and I hear “ f, my dad’s home”. Door to her room is closed, I knock, door’s locked, she opens, this boy comes out. She tells him to “ just go” and that she’ll call him later.

I ask her who he is, she tells me he’s nobody. I ask again, the same answer. I ask why the door was locked. She says she locked it on accident. I told her I heard her say “ f, my dad’s home” and what that was about. She claims the closing of the front door by me, scared them.

I told her I’d had enough of the lying and that since she wants to be with a guy she can stay outside and not in my home. Once she heard “ move out” she started telling me that even though the door was closed nothing was happening. She’s telling me I’m the most unfair father ever and that I’m “ not being fair”

Am I wrong? Could I have made it worse?

I know by letting her stay out she can have as many guys over as she wants, I was angry and did not know what to do.

MAN IN HIS 30S FEELS RICH WITH HIS $4K/MTH SALARY, TOP OF THE FOOD CHAIN

0

Here is the story:

What to do when u have an insensible younger brother?

Almost 30 years old already, still behave like a 13 years old. –

Fetching ard $4k monthly salary, he thinks that it is a lot… And tried to be arrogant. Pls lah, when u earn $40k monthly salary then come and flaunt..

Always blaming everyone except for himself. For example. Not good looking, blame parents’ genes. Exam failed, blame Govt.

He doesn’t have many friends or rather no friends and is reluctant to get out of his shell to broaden his social circle.

What netizens say:

Netizen A: “4k now is still below median salary in Singapore. Tell him don’t act so big if he don’t pay most of the bills.

Netizen B: “Come, i take his salary n become ur brother. Just kidding 😆. He really needs help. Got a job already good. U cant help him all the time, hes a already a full grown pokemon. He needs to find hobbies, from there make friends and so on.”

Netizen C: It’s none of your business, did he do anything to hurt you? If not why should you be concerned? He can flaunt his $4k salary, instead of being a Debbie downer why not just affirm his positive energy, will that cost you anything other than to foster a positive fraternal bond?

He can blame the parents and governments, it is his right as ruled subjects that had and is being ruled by them.

Ultimately, you are not your brother’s keeper, and you are not responsible for him. Just cajole him a bit, try to smooth the relationship and live your own life.

PREGNANT WOMAN CLIMBS OUT OF WINDOW TO ESCAPE CNB OFFICERS

0

A woman was send to the hospital after CNB officers conducted an operation at a HDB unit.

The woman escaped the window and climbed from the 11th floor to the 8th floor.

Here is what CNB said:

𝟳-𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀; 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗴𝘀

In a recent op, CNB officers went to a 11th storey unit and knocked on the door and identified themselves. A female occupant was then seen climbing out the window of the unit and scaling down to the 8th storey, near the aircon ledge.

An officer immediately rushed to a stairway near the subject’s location and calmed her down such that she did not endanger herself any further. She was subsequently rescued unharmed by SCDF officers and warded in hospital for observation as she was 7 months pregnant.

With her safety ensured, officers then gained entry into her unit, where they found her 7-year-old son alone, along with drug paraphernalia. Arrangements were made for the welfare of the boy, and he was subsequently placed in the safe custody of a next-of-kin.

A heart-wrenching scene for all involved – the suspected abuser, the child, and the officers, all except for the trafficker who had been profiting off her addiction.

GIRL CHEATED BY KOREAN GUY – REAL LIFE DIFFERENT FROM K-DRAMAS

0

A girl shared how a story about how different Korean guys are in real life compared to the movies or dramas.

Here is the story:

I just broke up with my ex recently, yes he is Korean. Alot of girls dream about getting a handsome Korean boy but the torment I got from it is so different from your “dream idols”.

I met him while I was working as a stewardess back then and they are far from a “sweet thing”. Initially, like all guys, they treat you really good at the start and it eventually becomes less exciting. But I’m fine with that as that is only natural. What I could not endure was his violence.

Every time we have an argument and he cannot tolerate he will slap me or start smashing things in the room.

This is not an isolated incident I have other friends with Korean BFs and they are the same they said that they have “the big man” behaviour and tend to use their fists to solve problems.

If you think I’m lying just go Google and search “are Korean Men violent”. The first few results will be enough to shock you. About 80% of couples based on 2,000 couples say that they get some form of physical abuse.

Money Problems

Getting beat up is one thing, always taking money from me is another. He works as a regular office employee drawing a decent $4k plus. That’s not rich but not poor either.

Every time he needs to buy some stuff he will ask for money from me and always promise to return it but never returns it.

He always comes out with some sob story that back home in Korea the mother needs the money or something.

After the breakup, I realised there is no difference between Korean men and Siam bu from Discos. (The mother sick? The grandmother sick? The cow sick?)

It’s the same thing, every time I lend him the money will end up with him spending it on some branded T-shirt. Come on! A few hundred dollars for a T-shirt with a nice brand but the clothing material is cheap.

I have enough of the lies and physical pain I have to endure.

“DINOSAUR BOSS” DON’T BELIEVE IN WORKING FROM HOME CONCEPT

Sick of working at this dinosaur firm

While many workplace are already open to partial WFH moving forward, this work place I am in is still stuck in the past.

Even the time we reach office is scrutinised (must be at seat by 9am) but when we take a shorter lunch or go home late there is no reward.

Although I like my work, I think the management will not change their attitude to WFH or flexible work hours. There are too many old-timers here that hold tea parties and chit chat loudly with one another. So I can understand why they would prefer not to WFH and even want to move back to having physical meetings, which they will make younger staff like us try to book meeting rooms for them, that is forever not available because someone from another dept will mass-book all the rooms in advance.

Its like taking a time machine back to 2010s again. Except I dont get to be more youthful.

Here are what netizens think:

  • Find a new job lor. There are people who like working for “dinosaurs firm” like this. You clearly aren’t suitable here. Go find another place that suits you.
  • I do not work office jobs, if I do work in one, I wont take up those jobs which have WFH system. I rather go to office daily to escape the toxiness of my family.Anyway every job isn’t perfect. If you think the culture doesn’t suits you, don’t stress yourself any further. It’s time to move on.
  • If me, i’ll stick with everything in time. Means seated at 9. Go for lunch and go back the exact timing. Still the same pay
  • Do they use the same high voltage electric fence wall to keep all the dinosaurs inside like Jurassic Park? What’s stopping the exhibits from running or flying away?

MAN STOLE MONEY FROM HIS OWN WIFE TO LEND IT TO HIS SISTER

0

A man recently took money from his wife’s account and lend it to her sister. The man feels guilty for doing so without telling his wife. But his sister is the real demon behind it.

Here is the story:

My wife and I have joined finances but she has savings account her grandpa set up for her before he passed. It’s around 40k in savings. We both work IT jobs and get paid fairly well.

She stated to me that that money is for either an emergency or in case we plan on buying our own house. She said that in case I need money for an emergency I’m allowed to use it. I also have access to the account but so far I didn’t use anything.

2 months ago my sister asked me to lend her 5k because she wanted to pay for her wedding dress but her card had expired and kept declining. I lend her 5k but since I didn’t have the full amount of my own paycheck, I borrowed money from my wife’s savings. My sister said she’d pay me back once her new card was ready which would take less than two days. I didn’t tell my wife this because I’d replace the money in two days.

It’s been 2 months now and my sister is putting off on giving back the money she borrowed. She keeps finding excuses on why she couldn’t give it back every time. My wife hasn’t checked the savings account in ages but what if she happens to check it and she figures out 5k is missing?

My best friend says I am honest with her and I should accept the consequences of my own actions for not notifying my wife and not letting her know about the money missing. AITA?

I feel very guilty for this and for trusting my sister.
