WOMAN SEES SON’S CLASSMATE LOOKS LIKE HUSBAND, FINDS OUT IT’S HUSBAND’S KID FROM AFFAIR

0

A woman had noticed that her son, who is in preschool, had a female classmate that closely resembled her husband, and she also chanced upon his mistress while sending her kid to school.

She then confronted her husband about his extramarital affair, but he then called her crazy after denying her allegations.

The incident happened in Taiwan.

The mistress had originally promised to leave the town that the husband’s family was living in, but then continued living there and gave birth to a girl.

The man’s wife, who is also 6 months pregnant, shared in a rant on an online forum that her son used to take the school bus to school but because of Covid, she had to send him to school personally, according to China Press.

And that was when she met the mistress and saw her daughter looking like her husband.

She confronted her husband and a heated argument ensued where he allegedly called her crazy and pushed her.

She shared that she had moved out and went to live with her parents with her son and unborn child, and the husband then came back kneeling in front of her begging for forgiveness, which she said she’ll think about it.

PARENTS INSTALL TRACKING APP ON GIRL’S PHONE, DON’T ALLOW HER TO TURN IT OFF

0

I’m 18 and My parents track my location. I’m strictly not allowed to turn it off so they know where I am and what I’m doing. Is this normal?

My parents can check my location anytime and they strictly told me not to turn it off. They said it’s for my safety but sometimes I feel like they r being invasive and do not respect my privacy because i feel uncomfortable going anywhere with my friends because I feel like my parents are monitoring me everywhere I go.

I do not like the idea of my parents not trusting me and checking my location every time because it makes me feel like they know everything about my life.

All my friends parents don’t do that because they trust them and if they want to know something they would just text.

I feel like other peoples parents respect their children’s social life and don’t feel the need to like stalk their location. I find it so annoying when my parents know everywhere I go and ask about it every time. I’m also a university student.

Edit: people telling me i should talk to my parents but i have many many times but they’re so strict and toxic so they can control me easily since I’m dependant on them. If i don’t listen to their rules, they can take my phone, stop supporting me, treat me like shit at home etc.

ATTEMPT TO SMUGGLE COUNTERFEIT GOODS INTO S’PORE FOILED BY ICA

0

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority shared in a Facebook statement that they foiled an attempt to bring in counterfeit good into Singapore at Tuas Port.

ICA’s statement

𝗙𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗲-𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲?

On 1 July, ICA officers at Tuas Port foiled an attempt to bring in an assortment of suspected counterfeit goods into Singapore.

Our vigilant officers had noticed anomalies in the scanned images of an inbound container and an unstuffing operation was conducted at the importer’s premises. The suspected counterfeit goods, consisting of sandals, fabrics and undergarments, were uncovered in a container declared as assorted cargoes.

The case was referred to Singapore Customs for further investigation.

Safeguarding Singapore’s borders remains as the top priority for ICA. We will continue to stay vigilant and thwart smuggling attempts through Singapore’s borders.

GUY’S GF POINTED A WEAPON AT HIM DURING ARGUMENT, DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO

0

My girlfriend pointed a weapon at me during an argument and i can’t stop thinking about it

I’ve been with her for nearly 4 years and despite all the arguments we’ve had, there was never a single violent moment, thats probably why i was so shocked when she did it.

Ive been having trouble sleeping and whenever i see her, i basically freeze up. She has apologized and i told her i forgive her of which i do, i really love her but i dont know, maybe im just overthinking but what if next time, she dosent hesitate.

I know social media really isnt the right place to say this but i know if i tell my mum, she’ll tell me to leave her and i dont want that to happen. Sorry if this wasnt worded properly, my hands are shaking and i cant think straight.

Let me clarify things, i actually want to still be with her and i dont plan on leaving. She’s a really beautiful soul who has helped me through so much including the traumatic experiences with my dad.

She was with me all the step of the way through therapy and she helped me heal. She’s literally my source of happiness.

I should have started of by saying this, maybe it would change your opinion. Plus, the majority of comments are from men telling me to leave but the women have different opinions. I feel this is just a rough patch that most couples go through.

Its my first and only relationship so im not really experienced, but i feel the women here would be in a better position to tell me the next step to take since they’ve probably been in my girlfriend’s shoes at least once. No disrespect to my fellow men, you all are great too.

edit: My girlfriend just saw the post and she texted me asking if it was me, i’m going over to her place now and we are going to work things out. Im not giving up on her just yet. Ill make an update in about an hour when we are done working things out

Thank you all for the support and encouragement. I actually felt better putting this out there.

GF CONFESSES TO BF THAT SHE SLEPT WITH MEN FOR MONEY, 18 MEN IN 1 YEAR

0

My girlfriend used to be an escort

A couple nights ago, my girlfriend came to me tearful and told me she used to be an escort. My mind blanked and I feel like it’s still blank right now. I would absolutely never have guessed this in a million years. Our 4 year anniversary is in 3 months time and she doesn’t know this, but I was actually planning on proposing. I don’t know what to do now. She’s an amazing woman – kind, loving, creative and very positive about everything. Previously I had absolutely no doubts this was the girl I wanted to marry and create a future with but now my thoughts are spiralling.

I’ve talked to her a little since and apparently when she was out in town she spotted someone who, either was, or, looked exactly like one of her former clients and that caused her to have a mini panic attack and I guess made her feel guilty about not telling me. That’s why she came home and told me. When I heard this it made me feel a bit weird, because it seems like the only reason she told me is because she felt like something could come out or I could learn it some other way (not that this would be likely at all).

I’d almost rather have never known she used to get paid for sleeping with other men because I could have gone about my life clueless and probably still had a wonderful life with her. Now I know she used to be an escort I don’t know what to think. I get that everyone now is hyper progressive with SW and all of this. I get it – one of my friends at uni used to be a sugar baby of sorts so I understand it’s probably more common than people think. But for me, this is kind of a dealbreaker in a relationship. If I had known she was an escort from day 1 I probably would have never chased a relationship with her, but now we’re almost in year 4 and I was thinking about marriage I feel cheated almost. I understand that she’s the same girl today that she was yesterday, the day before, the day before that and so on, but it’s also as if she’s an entirely different person now.

I asked her how long she did it for and she told me it was for 1 year during university and that her flatmate got her into it. She said she had 18 clients in total across the year but I don’t know what to believe. I have no clue if this is a realistic number or not because I have no clue about any of this stuff and so I have to take what she says at face value. Normally I’d never not believe her, but right now I can’t help but think she’s trying to do damage control and minimise the truth. The thing is, if she wasn’t an escort and slept with 18 guys in one year I probably wouldn’t really care. Bodycounts to me aren’t really a big deal. It’s the fact they were CLIENTS and she received money from.

Last night all I could think of in bed as we were lying together was how I could try and rationalise this in my head to make myself ok with it. The thing is, I really struggled. If she was destitute and struggling to pay rent or pay for living costs then maybe I could validate it a little bit. But the thing is, her parents are both professionals and earn quite highly – she went to a private school and had her university fully paid for including living costs and spending money. Even now when we both have jobs she is getting a monthly sum of like $500 from her dad ‘just because’. I can’t even think of another reason why you’d want to get into escorting unless you were struggling with money. I know she was on some depression meds when we first got together so I’m guessing she wasn’t in the best mental state during that time in university when she escorted.

I still love this girl immensely and I don’t think my love hasn’t changed since she told me but my mind is chaotic and a part of me feels incredibly distressed. I’ve not shown any real physical affection to her since she told me and I’m almost struggling to talk to her or look her in the eye when we’re at home. Part of me thinks I should break up with her over this and part of me thinks I can get past this. What’s upsetting me a little is that I feel like she’s almost desperate to make things up to me and is worried I’ll leave her. I don’t like seeing her like this. Yesterday she took the day off work and when I came home she had baked a batch of brownies, muffins and made my favourite meal that night. She tried to be affectionate but I kind of shut that down as I don’t think I’m even capable of being intimate right now.

This is quite a messy post and probably a bit unorganised. I’ve probably left stuff out that might be relevant but I don’t feel like rereading what’s been written right now. I guess this is partly me getting it off my chest and also hoping that maybe someone somewhere out there might have gone through something similar and so has some advice for me.

FATHER OF 4 STRESSED BECAUSE WIFE WANTS EVEN MORE KIDS, GETS A VASECTOMY

0

I got a vasectomy without my wife knowing

I (45M) got a vasectomy about a year ago without telling my wife (30F). We’ve been married for 5 years and have 4 kids all under the age of 5. I’m absolutely exhausted and yet she still wants more kids.

I also have 3 kids from my first wife who are now 20, 18, and 15. I knew when I had entered the dating pool, I would be open to more kids, I just didn’t anticipate how overwhelming it would be. My wife was open and honest about wanting a big family, and I admitted that I was fine with that. Apparently we have very different definitions about what a big family is.

We’ve only been together for 6 years total and honestly we got married because she found out that she was pregnant with our first kid. I already knew that I had planned on marrying her so we went ahead and did a courthouse wedding. I absolutely adore my wife and kids and loving seeing her be an amazing mother, but I need a break.

We had a discussion after our 3rd on holding back from having kids for a while. I thought that she would be on the same page as me, but she loves pregnancy and motherhood. While some parts of it aren’t fun, she actually really enjoys being pregnant. She’s even told me that and said that she just wants to continue not using protection and that she’ll be the one to tell me when she’s done with having kids.

I booked the appointment as soon as I could after that and she got pregnant again in the weeks leading up to the appointment. I’m just so ready to be done with diapers and sleepiness nights. I really don’t think I could handle another baby

PM LEE – THE PAP DOES ITS UTMOST TO FIELD A DIVERSE TEAM OF MPs

0

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong spoke during at an appreciation dinner on 12 July at the party leader of the People’s Action Party, which would’ve been held after the 2020 General Election but wasn’t due to the pandemic.

He shared how it is a mistaken view that all the MPs of the PAP hold the same perspectives, saying “some think that since PAP MPs all wear white and white, they are also monochrome in their ideas and perspectives. This view is quite mistaken.”

He said that “in fact we do our utmost to field a diverse team, and make sure that every MP brings something different to the table.”

TRANSCRIPT OF SPEECH BY PARTY SECRETARY GENERAL LEE HSIEN LOONG AT THE POST-GENERAL ELECTION APPRECIATION DINNER ON 12 JULY 2022

A very good evening, Comrades!

Tonight’s dinner is to thank our Comrades who retired as MPs in GE 2020, as well as all our MPs and candidates for your hard work and good fight in that General Election. Normally we would have held it soon after the General Election, but because of COVID, we have had to postpone the event until now. So I am very glad that we can finally gather in person tonight.

It has been a tough two and a half years, fighting COVID. The battle is not over, but we have come a long way and made much progress. As a whole, Singapore has not done badly. We have protected the lives and livelihoods of many Singaporeans.

A key factor in this has been the strong trust between Singaporeans and the PAP government, and more broadly the high trust levels within our society. This trust was not something established only when the pandemic hit us. It is the result of hard work and bonds forged over decades, by successive generations of PAP leaders and MPs and the voters who have supported us, and supported the party that we stand for. This enabled the PAP to win the mandate of voters and to serve Singapore, especially in a crisis.

Tonight, I would like to acknowledge the good work by the 20 MPs who have retired, and thank you for your many contributions to the Party and to Singapore. I have recorded some of these contributions in my valedictory letters to you. Preparing these letters, I was struck afresh by the wide range of issues that you handled, the diversity of projects you implemented, as well as the intensity of your engagements not just with residents, but also other community groups, in order to win their support and consolidate the ground.

A significant part of your duties was in Parliament. Asking questions and speaking up for your residents. Providing feedback to help improve Government policies. Ensuring that bills are thoroughly debated and properly scrutinised before they are passed. Often you did this work through the Government Parliamentary Committees (GPCs), where you could focus on a specific ministry and make a deeper contribution. Depending on your personal backgrounds and interests, different MPs have championed different issues close to your hearts. Lily spoke passionately for the elderly and under-privileged. Zainal advocated for lower-wage workers. Hin Kee spoke up for taxi and private hire drivers. Bee Wah championed her residents at every opportunity with every Minister, and did so memorably and vividly. Your questions and interventions in the Chamber have shown Singaporeans that their voices are being heard, and their concerns addressed.

The other major part of the MP’s job is outside Parliament, to tend the ground in your constituencies and wards. Every constituency is different. The profiles of residents vary, along with their needs and aspirations. So the MPs have set different priorities, and shaped their constituencies in different ways through various projects. Chok Tong oversaw the transformation of Marine Parade into a vibrant waterfront hub for MParaders over 43 years. Hng Kiang reinvigorated Telok Blangah and brought nature closer to residents. Yaacob developed beautiful waterways through the ABC Waters Programme, including in Kolam Ayer. Yi Shyan rejuvenated the 40-year-old Bedok Town Centre with Heartbeat@Bedok, an integrated community hub. You and your grassroots teams have given much thought and attention to your constituencies. The Government has supported promising ideas, and worked hand-in-hand with the MPs and grassroots advisors to deliver results.

You have also initiated schemes to expand common spaces, mobilising residents and bringing different groups together to build the community spirit. Boon Wan re-imbued the kampung spirit in his 3 residents, encapsulated in the Sayang Sembawang tagline. Fatimah organised many fun community events in Geylang Serai, adding something like 25 entries to the Singapore Book of Records, including one Guinness World Record – the “largest mass mini-trampoline workout”. Ho-Pin popularised brisk walking groups at Bukit Panjang and then North West CDC, which grew into a national network, and Teng Koon initiated sports programmes for the youth at Woodgrove Division.

As MPs, you have spent countless hours listening to and engaging your residents. Understanding their problems and working hand-in-hand with agencies and community partners to solve them. Like Cedric who advocated for the formation of Frontier Primary School, eventually and successfully. Sam Tan led rejuvenation projects in Radin Mas to make amenities more accessible. Ser Luck offered free co-working spaces at Sengkang Community Club for residents. He should have IPO. One issue which every MP pays close attention to is taking good care of the vulnerable in our society, including especially low-income families and the elderly. They deserve all the help and support we can give. So not surprisingly many of you implemented your own schemes to support them in your own constituencies, on top of what the government is doing. Intan had a Home@Jalan Kayu scheme that improved home conditions for needy families. Shi-Lu helped set up a Silver Zone in Lengkok Bahru. Chia Hsing launched an initiative for residents to pay it forward, by buying coffee and tea for vulnerable residents.

But most importantly, besides all these community activities, you did the political work, mobilising support for the party and winning votes in elections. We must never do things solely for political advantage. But unless good policies and good work translate into votes and electoral success, they cannot endure. You never shied away when the Party needed you to contest during election time. Charles Chong is a prime example. Each time the Party anticipated a tough fight, we sent him to do battle there – and he always carried the day for us, through his savvy campaigning and I was going to say personal charm but better to say 4 personal touch. Swee Say too, in a quite different way. We redeployed him more than once, and each time through his unique brand of retail politics, intensively cultivating residents block by block, explaining things in the way only he can, which is if I may say, same same but different, he won them over.

These are just a small sample of all the work that you have done, over many years as MPs. But they give a sense of the scope and significance of MPs’ duties, and explain why being an MP is so demanding, yet so fulfilling.

And this is also perhaps why for many MPs, stepping down is not an easy adjustment to make. It is hard to let go of the close ties formed with your residents. You hanker for that adrenaline rush. The next problem to solve. The next Minister to hassle. For me too, it has been a difficult task to ask you to step down to make way for your successors. I am grateful for your understanding and big-heartedness on this, for your efforts in guiding and supporting your successor. And for your appreciation that we need to do this to keep up leadership renewal in our Party, and make sure that Singapore always has the strongest team to lead it, both now and into the future.

So to all the comrades who have retired. Thank you once again for your service to your constituents and to Singapore andalso a big thank you to your spouses and families. They have sacrificed much, so that you could devote time and attention to your residents, and give your best as MPs and Advisors.

The Party continues to need new generations of people like you to come forward, enter the political arena, and fight for the support of Singaporeans and the future of Singapore. People with integrity, commitment and ability. People with the grit to take the rough and tumble of politics, and the passion and imagination to build a better Singapore. Also people with diverse experiences and backgrounds. Some think that since PAP MPs all wear white and white, they are also monochrome in their ideas and perspectives. But this view is quite mistaken. In fact we do our utmost to field a diverse team, and make sure that every MP brings something different to the table. Each of you represents the aspirations and concerns of a different segment in our diverse society. Each of you has a slightly different network and different people whom you reach out to.

Your varied perspectives help make our policies more rounded and robust. We must maintain this diversity in our ranks, keep our Party a broad tent, and field the best possible team in the next General Election. And that work is well underway.

In these very challenging times, and especially in such times. We must keep the Party renewed, vigorous and in touch with Singaporeans. The MPs currently serving have taken over the mission from you, and will build on what you have accomplished. You can rest assure that they will do that so that the PAP can continue to serve Singaporeans well, and secure our future for many years to come.

Thank you!
