GUY’S DATE WANTS TO BE PICKED UP IN A PORSCHE INSTEAD OF HIS TOYOTA

0

My date told me that she doesn’t like being picked up in my old car and wishes to be picked up in a fancy car. Something tell me this a red flag about her.

I have been taking to this girl for a couple of months now and we tend to go out for dinner on Fridays.

I normally pick her up in my car and I drop her off after the dinner. She is well mannered and a great person by my impressions.

However, few days ago she came to know that my family has a Porche, which is my dad’s. My car on the other hand is a Toyota, but I love my car to bits.

We were meant to go out this Friday too but after I told her that I wasn’t able to use my dad’s car, she told me that she may not be able to come.

She barely responds like she used to and something tells me she is a materialistic person that I probably should avoid.

Just trying to pour my thoughts here that I have been thinking for the last few days. Not sure what I am gonna do…

EX-CISCO OFFICER LEAKED PLANS TO HELP PMD RIDERS SIAM ENFORCEMENT, JAILED

24-year-old former Certis Cisco auxiliary police officer, Syarifah Nur Nabilah Syed Omar, pleaded guilty to one count of communicating information obtained in contravention of the Official Secrets Act.

She was subsequently sentenced to 1-week imprisonment.

She had sent deployment plans to Afendi Mohamed Rashid, 36, who then sent the information to a Whatsapp group with more than 200 members in it.

What happened?

Syarifah was an active mobility enforcement officer with LTA, who patrol pedestrian walkways to detect errant PMD riders.

LTA staff would plan for the areas of each team’s daily patrol, with information about the specific officers to be deployed at specific streets and park connectors, as well as the time, which changes from day to day and is unknown to the public.

Syarifah resigned from her job on 20 May 2021 but was still inside a Whatsapp group where her team leader shares the daily deployment to the team.

She continued to receive the deployment plans from 21 May to 1 June last year and on 1 June, she took a screenshot of the deployment plan sent inside the group and sent it to Afendi, who met while they were doing food deliveries.

They would share information about the enforcement efforts so they know where to avoid the officers, and Syarifah wanted to warn Afendi.

Afendi then forwarded the deployment plans to a WhatsApp chat group with about 211 people, which were then forwarded by them to at least three other chat groups.

Syarifah’s ex-team leader then made a police report about the leaked plans and Syarifah then deleted the screenshot and her message to Afendi, who also did the same.

Afendi was contacted by an investigating officer on 2 June 2021, but he blocked the officer’s number and refused to go to the police station for an interview.

Another officer then called him to come for an interview and he hung up, before getting arrested in December 2021.

WIFE TELLS HUSBAND THAT BEING AN INSURANCE AGENT “NO FUTURE”

0

i used to work in a Chinese bank a few years ago, before switching over to insurance, and didn’t have a stable income to contribute financially to the household (I am married with a son).

I ended up having to depend on my wife’s $2.2k/month salary.

I’m facing a myriad of problems at work, being relatively new to the insurance industry, finding potential prospects is very tiring, and still trying to arrange meetings.

My wife has been nagging and nagging at me instead of showing me a hint of support and telling me that I’m being selfish.

She says that she barely has enough money for herself and that selling insurance “no future”, asking what if I have no commission forever?

She told me to get a part time job first as I look for a proper job.

I spoke to one of my ex schoolmates from poly who is also one of my insurance prospects, and she told me that every job is the same at the beginning, it is always rough at the start.

I have meetings and trainings almost every other day which is draining mentally, but my wife just keeps scolding me instead of being supporting because “I’m throwing our son” to her.

Insurance really no future meh, I don’t know, but I can’t give up now.

NETIZEN CLAIMS M’SIAN DRIVER WHO WAS HIRED TRIED TO BRING DRUGS INTO SG

A Facebook post went viral after a netizen claims that a Malaysian driver who her parents booked ended up with a lot of trouble after drugs were found in the vehicle.

Dear Glamourettes, Can I just advice everyone to NEVER hire Malaysian plate vehicles when you go to Malaysia. It’s a long story. But I just cut it short. Just NEVER ok. TRUST NO ONE NO MATTER HOW REGULAR YOU HIRE THEM, HOW PLEASANT AND ULTRA NICE THEY ARE.

My mom and her friends went on a day trip to JB and got a rude shock when ICA found 18KG OF DRUGS at the boot of their MPV. The whole ordeal was traumatising for these old aunties. These assholes probably think a group of old makciks would be the perfect camouflage.

Another netizen took a screenshot of the post and shared it claiming that “it is happening for a long time”.

  • As someone who lives in hougang, this is the most wholesome thing I’ve seen in the hood for awhile. Usually it’s always news about old people walking around with knives at the kopitiam
  • We could all do with more excitement and wholesomeness in SG I feel.
  • Yeah it’s the multistorey carpark at 698/699 area. I go there sometimes to chillax or do PT, Now I’m kicking myself for being on duty tonight and missing out on this epic duel.
  • If anyone is looking for custom built duel-ready sabers, sabertrio is based in Malaysia and their quality is really nice. Problem is finding people to duel now haha.
  • They either have lots of order or are on the brink of bankruptcy cause every single saber is marked as sold out…

BF DRINK UNTIL DON’T WANT GIVE GF “SPECIAL” NEEDS HELP TO SOLVE HER PROBLEM

0

I’ve been dating my bf for 7 years. He has a severe drinking problem and his justification of which is he has insomnia and can’t sleep. I suggested taking Melatonin and seeking other source of help i.e. talking to a therapist but he had refused to do the same.

He kept reiterating that those “help” wouldn’t help him as he didn’t want to rely on pills, the contrary is, he relies on alcohol daily (he starts drinking from the night till he is tired and/or the next morning) to help him sleep. In a result of this, our intimacy level has dropped drastically over time and I might have to come a realization that maybe I don’t love him that much anymore.

He is still a wonderful boyfriend, extremely sweet and helps me whenever I need assistance, be it financially or emotionally, treats me good or even better than any of his exes. I love him but this drinking issue needs to go, notwithstanding the issue of his parents doesn’t like me. I’m not close with my parents but my dad told me that if his drinking doesnt go, there will be a bigger issue in the future.

I need suggestion to help with his drinking issue. Please help.

Here are what netizens think:

  • Did his drinking problem happen recently? Or throughout the 7 years of dating? Have you told him about what you wrote here to him? Make sure he is not addicted or depressed. So, talk and talk and talk. Tell him all your concerns. If with every blood, sweat and tears he still doesnt stop, it’s not your fault. You tried your best. Only when he, himself realize it’s a problem, he will stop. Otherwise, there’s nothing you can do. It’s a complicated situation here.
  • He has a very serious addiction problem. Do NOT consider a future with him unless he’s willingly & actively taking steps to address this addiction.Drink because of insomnia? That’s an excuse. There are many many solutions for insomnia- including getting meds from a doctor.I’d actually advise you to dump him. But u say that aside from the drinking issue, he’s actually very good to you. So okay maybe can give chance.Time to issue him an ultimatum- either he seeks professional help with his drinking problem or you leave him. It’s that simple.Tell him you do not want to end up marrying a 酒鬼. Because it’s “just” drinking now. But in future he could become addicted to something else? Gambling? Going to prostitutes? Drugs? What next?Addicts will always be addicted to *SOMETHING*. Because the source of that addiction is a deep void within themselves or some kind of pain or trauma they’re trying to escape from.Hope this helps.
  • Listen to your father. No matter how much you love him or he help you in time of needs, you are going to have BIG issues in the future with his drinking addiction.Surely you can find a man better than him. He could have lost interest in you otherwise he should give up drinking. Do not waste your time, thevlonger you linger on the more painful it will be as time goes on. GL
  • It’s an addiction problem. He needs therapy and help because this will only get worse. You can only do so much for him by bringing your concerns to him. Ultimately, he has to realize the problem himself and want to seek help.

POLICE WARN OF SCAM INVOLVING FAKE ZOUK TICKETS SELLING ON TELEGRAM

0

The Police would like to alert members of the public to a scam variant involving the sale of fake Zouk tickets on Telegram, where scammers would request for deposit or advanced payment from victims to secure tickets for entry to Zouk. Since May 2022, the Police have received at least 10 reports involving such scams, with losses amounting to more than $2,300.

In these cases, scammers would post advertisements relating to the sale of Zouk tickets on Telegram chatgroups such as ‘SG Clubbing’. The scammers would request victims to make advanced payments for the tickets.  Victims would only realise that they have been scammed when the scammers were uncontactable after the transfers had been made.

The Police would like to advise members of the public to adopt the following crime prevention measures:

  1. Purchase only from authorised sellers or reputable sources. Buying cheap tickets from resellers is risky – If the price is too good to be true, it probably is;
  2. When purchasing tickets online, use escrow payment options that protect buyers by releasing payment to the seller only upon delivery, where possible. Avoid making advance payments or direct bank transfers to the seller as this method does not offer any protection to buyers; and
  3. Arrange for a physical meet-up with the seller to verify the authenticity of the tickets prior to making payment. Bear in mind that the party that you are dealing with online is a stranger.

If you have any information related to such crimes, please call the Police Hotline at 1800-255-0000, or submit it online at www.police.gov.sg/iwitness. All information will be kept strictly confidential. If you require urgent Police assistance, please dial ‘999’.
