GIRL FOUND OUT SHE’S NOT HER DAD’S CHILD AFTER MUM CONFESSED TO CHEATING

0

My mum revealed that I’m not my dads child and it’s ruined my relationship with everyone

My (15m) mum said she had to “come clean” and “couldn’t live a lie anymore” and that I wasn’t my dads kid. She said she cheated on him with her ex and has been since today.

They’re divorcing and my mum has since moved in with her ex. My siblings can’t look me in the eye anymore and my dad is just ignoring me.

I hate her tbh. Why does my mums screw up have to cause me to suffer? I’m pretty sure my dad and siblings half blame me for everything anyways.

Netizens’ comments

  • I’m so sorry.
You mum is incredibly selfish and has handled this terribly.
Have you spoken to your dad about this? You’ll both be reeling from the revelation and it will be a while before any of this feels somewhat normal but I hope you’ll be able to recover your relationship.
It will be difficult while you all come to terms with this. Your dad will be dealing with the betrayel of your mum’s choices and the end of his marriage.
Your siblings too will be processing the end of family life as they know it.
But you’re not to blame for any of this. You’re a victim of your mother’s lies just as much as your dad is. And your siblings.
You’re still the same person you always were. The man who loved you and raised you is still your dad.
  • Your dad is likely as blown over as you are.
Presuming he’s previously been a good dad, he will figure out that he loves you regardless and will stand by you.
He’s brought you up, he’s loved you, done all the things a dad does with you. He’s your dad.
You are still you, you are the product of how you were brought up. And that’s your dad as well as your mom.
Your siblings are still your siblings too. It just takes a while to figure out what truths are when something like this happens.
Try to stay positive, tell your dad you know this is difficult but you need to talk to him when he’s ready to do so. It’s difficult for him to adult at the moment.
Stay strong, stay solid, keep on doing the things that are important to you and your well-being. You’ll get there.
May the road rise with you.

MAN CAN’T GET REFUND FROM LAZADA FOR UNDELIVERED ITEM, CALL KEPT BEING PUT ON HOLD

A netizen, @zupernovae88, shared online about how his ordered parcel was not delivered and he can’t get a refund.

Here is what he said

Getting a refund from Lazada for an item that was never delivered… Seems impossible.

Long story short: Ninjavan says the item was delivered, it’s logged as being delivered on the Lazada app, but I’ve received nothing.

The courier photo uploaded on Lazada was a blurred pic of some package. Can’t even see the details of the photo or whether it was handed over to anyone.

I’ve gone through the process of getting in touch with their CS via chat (sent me an email with instructions containing screenshots that look different from what’s on the app in my phone; somehow there’s no option for an item that didn’t get delivered) and calling Lazada’s hotline results in being put in hold indefinitely.

Shoutout to Lazada for having the worst customer service standards ever.

Anyone had a similar experience? How was it resolved?

Netizens’ comments

  • Can consider raising a chargeback w the card issuer u paid with since u alr went thru lazada cs. This will be a tedious and long process tho.
  • had similar issues too. was too of a hassle and gave up.
  • had the same experience with shopee before, if the item is relatively high value (mine was $300-$400), can tell CS you will make police report against courier if parcel does not show up. thats what i did and my item mysteriously turned up the next day. courier service even sent down a rep to ask if my house has cctv so they can identify the driver.

MAN KILLED WHILE REPAIRING BUS AT SMRT DEPOT, USED UNAPPROVED JACKS TO LIFT BUS

43-year-old Thin Soon Fatt was killed in June last year while repairing a bus at the SMRT bus depot at Ang Mo Kio after one of the jacks used to lift the bus gave way while he was under the vehicle.

He was sent to the hospital where he eventually succumbed to his head injuries.

At the coroner’s hearing on 23 June, the coroner’s court heard that he had used unapproved jacks to lift the bus and did not adhere to standard operating procedures at the time of the accident.

Police investigating officer Li Sin Rong told Adam Nakhoda, the state coroner, that Thin was working for Strides Automotive Services, which is a subsidiary of SMRT.

Investigations revealed that the jacks that Thin used during the accident were not issued by Strides, and that Thin had brought them to the accident site.

Ng Chee Hwee, from MOM’s Occupational Safety and Health Division, also testified that there was no reason for the jacks to be there as they were not part of the standard equipment.

He said that Thin and two other workers were deployed to repair the new BYD electric bus that had a loose steering wheel on 6 June 2021.

The bus weighed 7.5 tonnes, with the front portion of the vehicle alone weighing close to 3 tonnes.

The jacks that Thin brought in could only support a total of about 2 tonnes, and after the repair was done, Thin was under the bus and could have lowered 1 of the two jacks, resulting in the other jack bearing more weight and becoming overloaded.

It then gave way and Thin was then struck by the chassis of the vehicle.

The court was told that the men should’ve used an air-assisted hydraulic jack to lift the bus and placed vehicle stands under the bus to support it.

Ng also testified that investigations revealed that Thin’s colleagues wanted to use proper jack and vehicle stands but was dissuaded by Thin, who was the supervisor.

COUPLE FIGHTING, BF TELLS GF “YOU’RE NOT EVEN THAT PRETTY”

0

My partner told me “I’m not even that pretty” and I can’t get over it.

A while ago, during an argument, my partner said “you’re not even that pretty, I don’t even know why….” And then stopped what he was saying.

(I want to say this now, because I know the comments will want a reason for him saying it. No, I wasn’t saying anything nasty to him. We where arguing over me needing to go to work.)

he told me after that he didn’t mean what he said and he only said it because he thought he was going to leave me and he needed to say someone to ruin it all.

My partner has been the only person to ever make me feel good about myself. We’ve been together 6 years and he always compliments me.

Needless to say, his words hurt. I can’t look in the mirror. I can’t eat properly and I just cry at night thinking he doesn’t think I’m beautiful anymore. I thought I could forget but I can’t.

As much as people want me to leave, this whole argument almost caused that. It was bad. He said and did things that was so scary to me.

But I really want to try. I told him I need things to change and we came to a common ground. I don’t wanna give up and an amazing relationship with my best friend just because he has outburst. I’m sorry

GF WANTS RELATIONSHIP TO BE LIKE A LOVE MOVIE, IF NOT SHE’LL CRY & WHINE

0

My gf is drowning me in her expectations and I’m losing it.

(Rant I need to get this off my chest) My gf wants our relationship to basically be a full relationship movie. She tells me all the things she expect from me and cries about it. I can’t do everything and I’m just done with it.

Anytime she sees another couple doing something she yells at me and cries that we didn’t do that thing.

She expects me to read her mind and do whatever she’s thinking. If I don’t do or say the thing she wants me to say then she gets mad and cries.

She expects me to “watch” for the minor things and do something about it.

She expects me to basically get her chocolate and flowers everyday or she’ll cry.

She tells me things that im supposed to do when we’re living together in the future and if I answer or say anything wrong to her expectations then im in trouble.

Literally anything she sees on movies, tiktok, books, all the other couples she expects me to know those things and do them. Literally text book step by step or else she whines and cry about it.

It’s getting worse every time I see her and I’m so close to leaving. Funny thing is that I get random “red flags for relationships” tiktoks and having expectations is always on it. I think its a sign but I don’t know how to leave. This is my first relationship so idk what to do.

I don’t have expectations for her, i just want her to do her thing but she’s being too childish with all the crying and whining. Sometimes I feel like im babysitting an adult child

Am i just overreacting or is this completely ridiculous?

LADY BOSS SICK OF CUSTOMERS CALLING HER “AUNTIE”, PUTS UP A SIGN OUTSIDE

0

A lady boss of a food shop in Taiwan that sells breakfast has banned her customers from calling her “auntie” and put up a banner at her shop’s entrance, according to Taiwan News and Baofei Commune (爆廢公社) on Facebook.

A customer said “auntie, I want smoked chicken with onion and milk” but was ignored when another customer pointed to a sign outside the entrance.

The sign hanging above the entrance, showed a photo of the owner, and reads: “to ensure the quality of food, those above 18 years old, please refrain from addressing owner as ‘auntie’.”

The customer then rephrased his greeting and said:

“Beautiful lady boss, I’d like a slick of smoke chicken with onion and milk”, and the owner finally acknowledged his order.

The lady boss then looked at him and said that the sign outside was made for customers like him.

MAN PESTERS WOMAN FOR HER NUMBER, THEN CALLS HER 8 TIMES IN 1 DAY

0

At this point dating for me as a woman has become dangerous.
Seriously. I’m not exaggerating when I say that we are not safe from harassment (or worse) whether we give our numbers out or decline to share.

Dating isn’t even fun anymore.

Obviously threats to women in the dating sphere aren’t new, but I swear it seems to have gotten insanely worse because no matter what I do, I do not feel safe when going out and trying to mind my business.

Y’all I hardly ever give my number out. I always say no directly, or if I feel uncomfortable I try to make an excuse or in worse situations, I will take the guys number down so they leave me alone. I’ve given it out TWICE in the last 4 months and each time it has resulted in scary behavior from the men.

I’m just so freaked out my stomach has been in knots.

The other night I went out with a friend and this guy kept pressing me for my number from the beginning of the night until the end even though I told him SO MANY TIMES I was not interested and just gave a flat NO. Still trying to keep the mood light and be nice of course.

I think he followed me and my friend out when we left because we walked to another block and he walks up to us chatting again, and keeps pressing for it so I stupidly gave in because we were annoyed and didn’t want things to turn sour. Very dumb decision on my part since I usually do not give in.

This man has called me 8 times in under 24 hours. Constant texts and then insulting me because I won’t reply and I finally texted him to please stop contacting me and he went off.

The sad part is that some people will say “well you just shouldn’t have given it out” and I will be blamed of course and they don’t understand that I am constantly declining advances all the time from men.

I hardly ever give my number out ( I use a burner number when meeting new people) and I DEFINITELY do not give out my socials often to men I meet. It doesn’t matter if I meet them in person or from a dating app, this behavior is constant and I have no idea how I’m supposed to date??? Like wtf am I supposed to do.

I don’t know if anyone else feels this way but fuck. It’s like the only single available dudes I come in contact with or that approach me are creepy or crazy.
