BOYFRIEND PROPOSED BUT GIRL DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO SAY NO

0

My boyfriend proposed and I’m not sure how to tell him that I don’t want to marry him for now

So, long story short: me (28F) and my boyfriend (30M) first met around 3 years ago, became really good friends, and we’ve been together for 2 years and 6 months now.

For context, I am not from here and I left home to come here to work.

last week he proposed, and I’m not sure how to tell him that I don’t want to marry him for now, but it doesn’t mean that I won’t want it in the future, and it doesn’t mean that I don’t love him – I absolutely do.

The reason why I don’t want to marry him for now is because I believe is still too soon to make a decision like that.

I mean, this wouldn’t be just getting married. To move permanently here I’d be leaving all my life behind – family, friends, and etc.

I love him and I’ll miss him like crazy, but I believe our best option for now is for me to go back home, try long distance relationship, and see how it goes.

Again, like I said, I’m not sure how to word things in a way of making explicit that this is not a “no”, this is a “no for now”, and don’t hurting him.

WOMAN REGRETS HAVING A CHILD, SEES MOTHERHOOD AS A PUNISHMENT

0

I regret having a child

My baby boy is 4 months old and perfect. I wanted to start a family and I bet on the wrong man. While I was pregnant, he became violent.

After my baby was born I tried to steer the relationship to a healthier dynamic and he instead got violent.

Now I’m a single mom, I have to retrain for a new job at the same time I’m taking care of a child and suing my ex so he can never take custody away from me, but honestly? I’d gladly give custody to somebody else.

People say I should be glad I got the baby and that’s all that really matters and I disagree.

My life before was better. I hate my life so much now. I hate having to depend on others, I hate having to raise a child by myself, I hate being judged for trusting that bastard, about how he hurt and humiliated me.

I feel bad for my son. He does not deserve a mother who views motherhood as some kind of punishment. He does not deserve to grow up without a dad. This is not how I envisioned starting a family.

Women, if you’re planning to have a baby, only do it if you’d be OK with raising that child all by yourself. Because when things get hard, men get to just leave. You don’t.

FELICIA TEO MURDER: ALLEGED KILLER STILL AT LARGE, 2ND ACCUSED FURTHER REMANDED

0

Ahmad Danial Mohamed Rafa’ee and Ragil Putra Setia Sukmarahjana were charged in 2020 of the murder of Felicia Teo in 2007.

36-year-old Ahamad was charged with the suspected murder of the then-teenager on 17 December, while 32-year-old Ragil remains at large.

On 24 May, Ahmad appeared in court via a video feed, and his lawyer requested an adjournment of his case, and he will be further remanded before returning to court in July.

He was previously remanded on 7 Jan 2021 for psychiatric assessment following the culmination of police investigations.

Ragil is believed to be overseas and has yet to be found.

Background

Felicia Teo Wei Ling, then 19, went missing on 29 June 2007, and was seen on CCTV entering a lift with two men at Block 19 Marine Terrace.

A missing persons report was lodged by her mother on 3 July that year.

Both Ahmad and Ragil were questioned but no links would be found between the two of them and Teo’s disappearance, and the case was classified as a missing persons case.

The case was then transferred to the CID in 2020 and they had a breakthrough, finding belongings that were believed to have belonged to Teo at the time she went missing.

Ahmad and Ragil were the last people seen with her before she was reported missing, and they were subsequently accused of murdering her at Block 19 Marine Terrace.

The trio were believed to be friends who studied at Laselle College of the Arts.

Ahmad was arrested in December 2020, while the manhunt for Ragil continues, along with the search for Teo’s remains.

GIRL SAYS SHE FEELS 1000 TIMES MORE ATTRACTIVE WHEN SHE’S OVERSEAS

0

Guys & girls, do you feel 1000x more attractive / good looking when you’re overseas?

I realized that whenever I travel overseas, my confidence shoots up to 10/10, literally ‘glowing’ ‘vibing’ as compared to being in Singapore.

My hair, skin, face, eyes, everything seems to be perfect, glowing, on point. Especially in Korea, I felt good about myself. Some said that it’s because you’re in a world of beauty (Korea) you’re surrounded by fashionable / good looking etc people hence you tend to feel like you’re one of them.

Some said you’ll look better because you’re at your most relaxed and happiest state when traveling, just being yourself. Or probably being a ‘foreigner’ makes you feel unique.

Some also said it’s due to the environment. Eg The weather, water etc that makes your skin & hair better.

However back in SG I just feel like an average potato, doesn’t feel that ‘glow’ or my ‘vibes’ as compared to overseas.

Does anyone feel the same way as me?

What do you think could be the reason?

Netizens comments

  1. i think its the weather in SG, hard to feel pretty/handsome when im sweating my balls off and getting cooked by the sun
  2. Confidence can be psychological. Singapore is quite a gloomy place on a day-to-day basis and no one really takes notice of each other on the streets, so no surprise you’d feel unattractive here.

S’POREANS DETAINED IN JB FOR 7 DAYS, NO RECORD OF THEM ENTERING M’SIA

A group of 3 Singaporean men were purportedly detained in Johor Bahru for 7 days after their passport didn’t reflect any records of them entering the country, according to Shin Min Daily News.

The trio had visited Johor and Kuala Lumpur for 5 days, with one of them flying back and the other 4 driving back to Singapore from JB.

The one who flew back had no problems passing immigration, while the other 4 were stopped at the customs by an officer who pointed out the absence of stamps in the passports.

The father of one of the men, called the Singapore Consulate-General in JB for help.

He said his son and two other men in the group were detained for 7 days and fined RM3,000, and the 4th guy was a Malaysian so he was allowed to return to his home in JB and returned to record a statement on 16 May.

The group was released on 17 May, and one of the men from the group told SMDN that they tried to explain the situation to the customs officer without success.

He said that when they entered Johor, they didn’t check their passports to see if it was stamped.

PSYCHO LANDLORD AT PAYA LEBAR, HAVENT MOVE IN ALREADY GOT PROBLEM

0

Finding a home in Singapore is easy, everything can be found online. But finding a good landlord always seems to be an issue.

A landlord has been described as psychotic after his responses were shown in a Facebook post.

Here is what netizens said:

  • Owner must be gay !Be careful
  • u should be thankful he revealed such character b4 u commit with the rental. take it’s as a lucky sign… have a good day
  • Many unreasonable & weird owners here, it’s really need to be very fortunate to meet an understanding owner.
  • Gynophobia?
  • I had a landlord that admitted when we moved out that what they really wanted was a nice quiet older lady who didn’t do much. We lived upstairs and had friends. We were never loud but the stairs squeeked and when our friends would leave anytime after 10pm they took it personally. They would turn off the heat and hot water randomly as revenge.

GUY’S FAMILY GOES OUT EVERYDAY, NEVER GOT COVID TO THIS DAY

0

Anyone else here whose entire family and yourself included have NEVER gotten covid up till this day?

I’m one of them and I have no idea why. It’s not like my family stays at home all the time either. And my family is pretty huge (5-member household).

My siblings are working/studying and out the whole time daily. One of my parents too, works and goes out to the office daily.

Yet absolutely not a single one of them has ever tested positive, in addition to me myself since the outbreak years ago.

My siblings and I had to do daily tests back then too so it’s not like we had it without knowing, unless we were 100% asymptomatic right?

Is this rare?

Netizens’ comments

Unless you test very frequently? You might have had it and didn’t know. I have a few close contact whom have gotten it and I always test 2-3 times after they become positive, but it’s negative.. somehow I am pretty sure along the way I might already have gotten it and didn’t know about it

THAI ACTRESS WHO DROWN IN RIVER WAS PREVIOUSLY FORCED TO TAKE NUDES

Nida Patcharaveerapong (Tangmo), a 37-year-old Thai actress nicknamed Tangmo, accidentally fell into the river on a yacht outing with friends in February. When she was found, her body was frozen.

During then, the Police could not find evidence of foul play for the sad incident.

But days ago, her Facebook page was updated stating that the actress was forced to take nude photographs and it was a plot that was set up by her agent.

The actress’s mother stated that in no way it is an accident, a wealthy man who was driving the boat without a license told the mother to take compensation of SGD$ 1.2 million, which is almost 30 million baht in exchange for the mother to keep silent and stop pursuing the matter.

However, the mother changed her statement stating that her daughter has been murdered.

In an interview her male close friend, Bang Jack revealed that Tangmo had had many disputes with her agent. She originally intended to end the partnership, but she did not expect the agent to apologize and invite her to the yacht party, mainly to take her to the hotel to “sell” her some rich man.

Bang Jack threatened to release Tangmo’s mobile phone photos, so that the truth would be exposed and the murderer would be revealed. As for Tangmo’s mother’s sudden 180-degree change in attitude, it is reported that the lawyer decided to seek external help after learning that the lawyer knew that the cause of her daughter’s death was not simple, but insisted on ending the case by suicide.

On the other hand, there are reports that a man in Thailand known as “Uncle Genius” decided to intervene in the investigation and find out the truth about Tangmo’s death. He said on several live broadcasts that he had mastered the key evidence in the incident, revealing that the Tangmo incident was not an ordinary river accident, including that the injuries on his body were not caused by the propeller of the yacht, but by the K2 folding knife. Her legs were held until she was drained of blood before being thrown from the bow.
