GUY ORDERED AND RECEIVED ITEM FROM CAROUSELL, NEVER PAY AND BLOCKED SELLER

A netizen shared how she posted a “NB Monitor Arm” on Carousell for sale.

A customer allegedly ordered the item from her and paid via Carousell protection.

Carousell protection is a feature on Carousell where the payment is held by the platform until the buyer receives the item, the buyer will then need to acknowledge receipt of the item on the app before the money can be released to the seller.

So after the guy received the item via mail, through Qxpress, he allegedly went MIA.

He didn’t acknowledge receipt of the item on the app and therefore the money was not released to the seller.

The seller then contacted Carousell, who told her that the payment failed and that she had to liaise with the buyuer directly.

So she PMed, Whatsapped and called his phone but it was to no avail, and he then proceeded to block her on Whatsapp.

She then resorted to calling his company and in the end, the buyer’s boss intervened and paid up for him.
