37 Y.O WOMAN TRESPASSED INTO EX-LOVER’S HOME, SMASHED HIS CAR WITH GOLF CLUB

A 37-year-old woman, Zhou Dani, pleaded guilty to one charge of criminal trespass and one charge of mischief, one more charge of criminal intimidation will be in consideration for her sentencing.

A suitability report was ordered by the judge to assess her suitability for a mandatory treatment order.

Zhou was romantically involved with the 46-year-old victim and had known each other for 4.5 years at the time of the offence.

She went to his house on 1 September last year at about 8.30pm and took photos of his home and sent it to him via Whatsapp.

She had wanted to try and compel the victim to commit to her because she felt emotional about their relationship, even though the victim was married with a child.

She demanded that the victim come out of his house and when he refused, she climbed over his gate and entered his home.

She also sent him a photo of his car, threatening to crush it, as well as threatening to kill his mother.

Zhou then took a golf club and smashed the victim’s car and house windows, causing $18,000 in damages.

The police were alerted to the incident and when they arrived, she was still smashing the victim’s home windows.

She was then ordered to stop by the police and the told them that she had been drinking beer before the incident.

STUDENTS OUTSOURCING EXAMS & PROJECT REPORTS TO ONLINE FREELANCERS

0

Hi I would like to ask is it normal for students to outsource their reports to people online and pay a fee to get it done?

Because recently one of my groupmates told me he outsourced most of his reports as he was too lazy to do them and rather work part-time and use that money to pay for the service, he also said he wants to try to buy an online exam service too if we have exams online again.

Should I discourage him or mind my own business?

Here are what netizens think:

  • He is your groupmate right? Meaning there’s a high chance that any grp projects parts that he submitted might had been bought. So if and when your lecturer found out, u knew and didn’t report it, it’s good luck to your grades too.
  • Report him. One less job seeker to compete with you when you graduate
  • He is smart. Study so hard also useless, NUS cert at the end of the day will still lose to rubbish uni…
  • Depending on what you want to achieve. If you want to see how competent you are with thw subject matter, go thru the usual way. If found out to be 1 of the 11, maybe just some delay in your career path.
  • This person is a future boss, you might be working for him one day. Don’t mess it up
  • That’s y we do see some graduates went to the company but work very badly. As they are not capable too that particular job.
  • Is it normal? Yes and no. There has always been people offering and buying such services. Is it ethical? No.It speaks volumes about your group mate’s integrity. Don’t do business with him in the future.Bring it up with your professor quietly.

GUY’S GF THINKS SHE CAN HAVE EVERYTHING HER WAY JUST BY CRYING

0

I am with a girl since last year end and recently I have noticed a few challenges in our relationship. To be clear, she is a very admirable and diligent girl and I love her very much.

But after a recent quarrel I have started to realise many differences between us. First off, I feel as if she pushed too much of her ideals onto me both emotionally and physically. Yes, she is an over-achiever among our peers. But does that justify her being inconsiderate and asked me to and I quote ‘why can’t you be better’? Note that I have always had a trauma and stress from my family side already as my siblings are all top tier human beings.

After the get better incident I have found my hatred for her grow from the inside and every time we have quarrels it just grows even more. And also, she cries every time something not in her favour happens. A few days ago she said something that got onto my head and I became moody and she started crying. As if she expects everything to be solved by having tears. I’m sorry I can’t fulfil your wish of dating a kdrama oppa who licks your knees every time a tear of yours drop. Nowadays I feel defeated, some times annoyed even every time she cries. Just because she cries SO OFTEN. LITERALLY.

Plus it is very unlikely we will be in the same country in our future and all sources of mine says ldr doesn’t work.

What should I do. Should I still hang on the little thread of hope? Or should I just follow along my conscience that tells me that I should stop wasting time?

CHANGI AIRPORT HIRING MORE THAN 6,600 WORKERS AS AIR TRAVEL REBOUNDS

Changi Airport is hiring more than 6,600 workers, with Changi Airport Group saying in their Changi Journeys publication on Tuesday that applicants can be hired on the spot at their One Aviation Careers Fair next Friday and Saturday.

Here is what they said

One of the biggest recruitment drives in Singapore’s aviation sector is taking off. With over 6,600 job vacancies available across Changi, the mass hiring aims to fill much needed positions to power Singapore’s travel recovery.

The jobs available are for both professional, manager, executive and technician (PMET) roles and non-PMET roles.

Hiring is focused on attracting talent for much-needed frontline passenger service positions and newly created roles in innovation and technology.

Airport partners are offering market competitive salaries, incentives, and better career prospects with ‘redesigned’ roles through training and digitalisation.

Job seekers can ‘apply, get interviewed, and be hired on the spot’ at the One Aviation Careers Fair happening on 27 and 28 May 2022 at the Suntec City Convention Centre.

This is the must-go event for those looking for a fulfilling career in the fast recovering and growing aviation sector. There will be themed career talks from airport partners across a wide range of positions from passenger services, operations and engineering. On-site interviews by more than 20 aviation companies will mean suitable job seekers can apply, get interviewed and be hired immediately.

Once onboard, new staff will benefit from immediate training to help them in their job and learn the Changi culture of service excellence. New staff will be proud to know that they are part of the Changi family, contributing to the rebuilding of the air hub as the journey to travel recovery continues in Singapore.

POLICE REPORT MADE AGAINST TERRAFORM LABS AFTER UST CRASH

0

After Terraform Labs’ Luna cryptocurrency crashed overnight, a “victim” made a Police report against the owner of Terraforms Labs.

Here is what is written in the Police report:

I am a concerned citizen about those who have lost money on the Luna Cryptocurrency scam Wanted to make police complaint to seek justice for all those who have lost money. There are at least more than 1000 Singaporeans that I know that invested in UST and Luna. UST was sold to them as a stable coin that will remain pegged to $1 but it dropped to $0.1 because the ponzi scam collapsed Luna became worthless overnight. A total of 532 Billion dollars is lost.

It is not ok for an investment to be sold to retail investors who do not know better as a safe and stable currency. Not ok. I have several examples of this. Do Kwon and his MLM marketing network spread the news about 19% interest rate to lure Singaporeans into his fixed deposit style scam I have collected the evidence here. So many influencers and “finance gurus” told people lies saying UST is 100% safe and they can earn 19% forever.

When will we hold Singaporean finance bloggers to strict standards and accountability for giving out financial advice?

Some platforms like Hodlnaut was even selling UST Licensed by MAS somemore

Do Kwon is still a billionaire last I heard. The very least he can do is to refund investors the money he earned of Luna. Do Kwon is currently Irving in Singapore so there is a chance that Singapore can still freeze his assets before he flees overseas This is Luna’s Singapore office address.

COUPLE GETTING MARRIED IN 2 MTHS, FIANCE TEXTING OTHER GIRLS

0

My wedding is in two months, but I think I’m done.

Fiancé has been weird lately. Planned to get into the shower with me tonight, didn’t because I was “too fast”. I was in there for 15 minutes. When he got into the shower, I had to come back into the bathroom to get moisturizer. Usually he turns on a podcast and jumps right in, but this time he was standing in front of the mirror with his phone.

Things haven’t been perfect, lots of wedding planning stress and garbage, but we were (I thought) both extremely excited to tie the knot after ten years together. We have a decent life, great connection, and genuine love for each other, or so I thought.

Got curious. Found out he’s been snap chatting his female co worker because she snapped him at 2am tonight. His Snapchat notifications specifically are turned off completely. He has zero text messages from her. The Snapchat message said “Aw, okie. Sweet dreams 💜 thanks for talking to me. Got another win!” (Talking about video games).

I’ve omitted the cutesy pet name she called him because it makes me physically sick. I screenshotted the message, and she replies lightning quick: “you still up Mr?”

I reply and play it cool and pretend I’m him. Nothing super juicy, but lots of lols and some hearts… she’s playing video games and wants ice cream, but has to go get some… He sees this woman all day at work. But apparently it’s common for them to talk in the middle of the night.

Also found a deleted naughty photo of himself in his recently deleted that I certainly didn’t receive, who knows where that ended up. I don’t think he has the balls to send that to anyone, but who knows.

Haven’t slept. Have thrown up several times. Terrified that even if i address this with him, he will just be better at covering his tracks next time. I have given him ten years of my life. I’m 25. Thank god we don’t have children. Just a house, two dogs, and ten years worth of memories…what I thought were good times. I thought he wanted to marry me. The wedding is supposed to happen in two months on our ten year anniversary. I don’t know what to do. I am wrecked.

CDC – FIRST CASE OF RARE MONKEYPOX INFECTION FOUND IN U.S

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) today confirmed a single case of monkeypox virus infection in an adult male with recent travel to Canada. Initial testing was completed late Tuesday at the State Public Health Laboratory in Jamaica Plain and confirmatory testing was completed today at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). DPH is working closely with the CDC, relevant local boards of health, and the patient’s health care providers to identify individuals who may have been in contact with the patient while he was infectious. This contact tracing approach is the most appropriate given the nature and transmission of the virus. The case poses no risk to the public, and the individual is hospitalized and in good condition.

Monkeypox is a rare but potentially serious viral illness that typically begins with flu-like illness and swelling of the lymph nodes and progresses to a rash on the face and body. Most infections last 2-to-4 weeks. In parts of central and west Africa where monkeypox occurs, people can be exposed through bites or scratches from rodents and small mammals, preparing wild game, or having contact with an infected animal or possibly animal products. The virus does not spread easily between people; transmission can occur through contact with body fluids, monkeypox sores, items that have been contaminated with fluids or sores (clothing, bedding, etc.), or through respiratory droplets following prolonged face-to-face contact.

No monkeypox cases have previously been identified in the United States in 2022; Texas and Maryland each reported a case in 2021 in people with recent travel to Nigeria. Since early May 2022, the United Kingdom has identified 9 cases of monkeypox; the first case had recently traveled to Nigeria. None of the other cases have reported recent travel. UK health officials report that the most recent cases in the UK are in men who have sex with men.

Based on findings of the Massachusetts case and the recent cases in the UK, clinicians should consider a diagnosis of monkeypox in people who present with an otherwise unexplained rash and 1) traveled, in the last 30 days, to a country that has recently had confirmed or suspected cases of monkeypox 2) report contact with a person or people with confirmed or suspected monkeypox, or 3) is a man who reports sexual contact with other men. This clinical guidance is consistent with recommendations from UK health officials and US federal health officials, based on identified cases.

Suspected cases may present with early flu-like symptoms and progress to lesions that may begin on one site on the body and spread to other parts. Illness could be clinically confused with a sexually transmitted infection like syphilis or herpes, or with varicella zoster virus. The CDC plans to issue public information soon on poxvirus infections which, when available, will be found here.

AUTISTIC BROTHER POURED FUEL ON SISTER, THEN WATCHES HER WITH LIGHTER

0

I’m 35(f) and my younger brother is 29. He has severe mental health problems, starting with Non verbal autism, anger issues and complete inability to look after himself. My parents looked after him since the day he was born due to all these issues.

I have tried to love him, but as the ages gone past I have resented him. He has always been big and tall and since very young age he has tried to hurt me. I was always covered in bruises while living with my parents. When he got older he would try to kill me. He would try to drown me, choke me, threaten me with a knife and make holes in me, and I’m not mentioning the amount of times he has tried to set the house on fire. I ended up hating him and barely had contact with my parents as they always find an excuse for his behavior.

They are getting old and have recently contacted me asking for help to look after my brother. I laughed. I told them if I could I would happily put him out of his misery. But because I couldn’t I have told them if they force me to look after him I will either make an anonymous call for him to be taken to a place where qualified people can look after him or just abandon him by one and make sure I will never see or hear about him again.

I don’t want to be related to him. He is the reason why I will never be able to have kids of my own. He is the reason of many ugly scars left on my body and face. And I will happily get rid of him the chance I have or get him locked up for good.

I do not blame what he did on his autism. He needed treatment from a very young age which was not provided to him by my parents which has caused this violence and anger issues. Autism might just make them a bit stronger but I don’t believe it is a cause as he also has a bunch of other mental illnesses he was diagnosed with.

However people who say he didn’t choose it and he can not understand what he does and try to either make it seem like I’m blaming his autism for it or who are blaming autism for it themselves seem ignorant. He enjoys causing harm to me, to my parents or any pets we owned (my brother would “dispose” of any pets we owned from fish to dogs/cats). When he was younger it was hurting everyone, once he grew up it was aiming for a kill. There’s no outbursts or anything, it’s just him trying to actively get rid of me or any pets as he wants to be their top priority. When he is not my parents get hurt by him. He previously made attempts to burn me alive where I woke up covered in fuel while he was watching me while playing with lighter. I am not going to list everything he did, but its something I do not wish upon anyone.

My parents and my brother do not know where I live and I haven’t visited them in years due to my brother, especially after he tried to “dispose” of my girlfriend. We are currently looking to move to a different country across the world and change names if we can, so there will be no way for my parents or the government to look after my brother or pay for him to be in an institution as these are expensive.

CERTIS OFFICER VS DRIVER OVER PARKING COUPON: “YOU FIRST DAY WORK AH”

A netizen, Ng Kee Boon, shared a video online showing an argument between himself and a parking enforcement officer.

The man had just stopped his car at the parking lot and had yet to display a valid parking coupon, when the officer approached him to tell him that he hadn’t done so.

However, the driver was still in his car and had just arrived at the lot, and he then asked the officer whether it was his first day on the job.

Here is what he said

This cisco officer sneaky issue ticket from my car back without even coming to check the front vehicle, I thought he was checking the car behind me when I saw him in my rear mirror.

Only after he come to the front and wanted to print the ticket and found that there is a camera in the car.

Behind no camera doesn’t mean in front don’t have lei. Roti Prata all the way saying that he was not intending or already ready to issue ticket when being told that camera is recording…

Is privatizing fine ticket a good idea ?

S’POREAN RETURNS TO SG TO WORK, CAN NOT TAHAN OT & WORKING ON WEEKENDS

0

Hi everyone, I really need some advice on how to cope with working hours. Ok, so abit of context.

Im from SG and graduated here. However, I moved overseas to a Nordic country to work for several years and just moved back here and I simply cannot cope with the much harsher working conditions back home.

Here’s some fact about my previous employment:

– My income is approx SGD$13000-ish when converted (but do not be fooled into thinking thats high because taxes are 46% here and the cost of living here is much much higher)

So even though Ill be taking a 5k pay cut if I move back, after taxes and CPF, I’m still better off in Singapore.

I had no problems finding a job here because it is an industry Singapore is just starting to venture into and thus, most companies lack experienced workers in said field whereas my country of employment has had decades of experience with it.

Now here’s the problem. I have to start at 8.30am and I realised that I’m only going home at 7+pm and I even have to come back on weekends! I know this sounds normal to most people but it really is not for me. Technically speaking, this would be my first employment in SG so I’m telling myself things will get better once I’m used to the lifestyle back home (after all I freaking lived and studied my entire life here) but I really can’t. Its just too big a jump.

Previously, my working hours were from 8.30am to 4.30pm with a 1.5 hour lunch/nap break in between and we are mandated by law to be provided with a minimum of 24 weekdays of paid leave per year (which companies are required to extend to a minimum of 25 days after 5 years of employment). Here the leave I get is barely enough for me to get a break!

So I’m asking how do I cope with the working hours here? Will I get better with time? because I truly feel MISERABLE working here. Maybe I just became weak after working in a country with good labour laws.

Here are what netizens think:

  • verything is about opportunity costs. When you said pay is better off, you aren’t really better off in this way. Bcos in terms of time, work arrangements, you’ll need to do more. So by getting a higher pay, lower taxes you’ll need to pay the opportunity costs of having longer work hours. Its now up to you if you want to sacrifice your time in return for money isn’t it? Happiness vs Money vs Time. Which is your priority in life?  in any case there’s always trade offs.
  • Given the high and extremely progressive income tax in Nordic countries, it is rational for them to take more leisure and less work.Given the low and less progressive income tax in Singapore, it is rational for us to take less leisure and more work. Its all about making rational decisions for the people in both countries.
  • Well, I work for a Nordic company in Singapore and I also have experience working overseas hence understand what you are saying.Work life balance is supposedly better in Nordic companies (Swedish/Finnish/Danish). But still if based in Singapore, you need to manage your expectations to put in more. You cannot expect to get paid better and yet expect the same benefits. It doesn’t work that way.Manage your expectations, or otherwise, you need to go back to where you were. Singaporeans are known to be resilient in adversity. Give yourself some time, and I’m sure you will slowly get used to be home
