MAN CAUGHT ON CCTV STEALING POKEMON CARDS FROM THOMSON TOY SHOP

A toy shop located at Thomson, Toy Station, shared how a man was caught in their CCTV stealing pokemon cards from their outlet, twice.

Here is what they said

Shoplifter spotted @ Toy Station at Thomson this morning (10/5/2022) in Thomson Plaza. Incident occurred between 10.52 AM -10.56 AM and was caught on CCTV.

A man is seen first trying to evade the eye of a storekeeper that is cleaning, quickly nicks a box of Pokémon trading cards worth $200 and leaves. He then returns minutes later and steals another box of same value and runs off.

We are kindly requesting that the man own up and return the goods immediately, and no action will be taken. Otherwise, a police report will be lodged and all evidence (clear images and videos) will be handed over.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFORMATION ON THIS MAN, please feel free to inform us.

Shoplifting is not the way. It is unfair to both store owners and our customers who fork out their hard-earned money to properly purchase items.

As a toy store, we are familiar with the occasional issue of kids not knowing any better, however this is an ADULT and we question the sort of upbringing and example he is setting.

This is so damn irritating

Why do some people spend so much time in the toilet???

It is the only bathroom that I can use and my brother always spends an ungoldly amount of time in there. The most irritating would be waking up w a full bladder and bam…

He ‘shower’ also can take up to 1 hr, he taking spa sessions or learning kpop dance issit. We dh bathtub btw. Idk maybe there is attraction towards the toilet bowl???

IBS?? Don’t think so, he even brings his phone in. It is absolutely silent in there, no sound at all… What peace and quiet he wants LOL There are only 3 of us at home and he even has his own room….. Nobody really talks lol.

CNA APOLOGISES FOR MESSING UP SEA GAMES COUNTRIES’ NAMES & FLAGS

CNA issued a public apology to the viewers after the news station aired a medal tally table of the SEA Games, mismatching the countries names and flags.

Here is what they said

We made a mistake in our SEA Games medal tally table which aired on Asia First on CNA at around 7:50am this morning.

The names of the countries participating in the SEA Games and their respective national flags were mismatched.

The error was on air for about 25 seconds. This error was corrected for subsequent SEA Games updates during Asia First, which included an on-air apology.

We deeply regret this happened. It falls short of the professional standards that we expect of ourselves and we extend a sincere apology to our viewers.

We will strive to do better.

MAN LIES ABOUT CRIMINAL RECORD SO THAT HE CAN FINALLY GET A JOB

0

I lie about having a criminal record so I can live a normal life.

I have a criminal record for doing something a little over 8 years ago. What I did isn’t important but the charge without any context makes me seem like a complete creep and weird.

In reality the crime was a one off thing I did in anger and although there was a victim nobody was physically harmed.

For the last 7 years since the incident I’ve never been able to get a job because of my record, but prior to having a record I had never been unemployed for more than a few months at a time but since its been there I’ve not been able to get a job in my industry.

Recently I discovered that there was a small detail I could omit from the background check form and the check would come back clean. Like completely clean (I received a copy), like I’d never done anything wrong.

I got the first job I applied for and been working since. For the first time in 8 years my life feels normal and I have a future to look forward to.

I have no guilt doing this as what I did was very specific and would and could not do it again. One mistake should not ruin someone’s life.

There’s no risk in hiring me, I never commited any crime before or since this happened and I deserve to have a life.

CULT LEADER WHOSE FOLLOWERS ATE HIS POOP, ARRESTED – 11 DEAD BODIES FOUND

A suspected cult leader was arrested on 8 May in Thailand and his compound was raided by the Thai police, with about 11 dead bodies in coffins being found.

The 74-year-old cult leader, Thawee, claimed to be the “father of all religions”, and according to Thai media, he allegedly made his followers consume his faeces and urine in order to “cure all diseases”.

During the raid by the Thai authorities, Thawee’s followers continued to openly consume his urine and flaky skin in front of the authorities.

He was arrested after a celebrity shaman, Jiraphan Phetkhao, brought the police to his campsite situated in the Chaiyaphum province.

A 53-year-old woman had went to the celebrity shaman for help after her 80-year-old elderly mother failed to return home after visiting Thawee.

She later found out that the cult followers were told to eat Thawee’s mucus, dandruff, and excrement – they were of the belief that it could cure diseases, according to The Nation.

The cult followers told Bangkok Post that the dead bodies found at the compound were brought to Thawee for him to send them to “heaven”.

He is detained by the police and dozens of his followers followed him there to support him.

VIETBU THREATENS TO BREAK UP WITH SG GUY UNLESS HE BUYS HER IPHONE

0

A netizen shared a story about how his friend has been giving money to a woman who threatened to leave him.

Here is what he said

I would like to share a story of my friend that I have already given up helping. My friend met a Vietnamese girl in a disco and he started hanging out with her. It did not take long for them to become BFGF status, Things started escalating quickly. First I would like to say my friend is not physically attractive, he has very low self-esteem and the intelligence of a buffalo. Initially, none of our clique was bothered with what kind of girl he is with and he is free to “love” anyone until he started to prioritizing the girl over regular day to day activities and started asking us for money.

It was the girl’s birthday and my friend who just joined the workforce did not have much money. Despite knowing that my friend does not have much money the girlfriend insisted that she wants an iPhone for her birthday or she will break up with him.

My friend began going around and begged people to loan him some money so that he can afford the iPhone, My group of friends explained that a real loving girlfriend who knows about his financial status will not force him to take money from other people to satisfy her materialistic needs.

He turned a blind eye to all of our advice. One of our friend’s who pities him loan him the money. It took him months before he was able to return the money and it did not stop here. In many countries, having an Apple device was like having a branded bag, proud that she had gotten her hands on the iPhone she now wants an Apple Watch from him.

Of course, he bought it for her since he already “invested” so much with the girl, in his terms he defines it as “investment”. In my terms, I called it “Gamble” and “burning money”.

Having a long-distance relationship is obviously difficult and now the girl wants even more from him. He is now paying rent for her home in Vietnam and despite spending so much money he felt insecure.

Every refusal to her financial needs will result in an argument between the couple, this is no longer a healthy relationship, more like “You pay for my stuff and I will suck your fat d***”.

He would often go to the girl’s Facebook and click on “Like” on every single post to make his presence known to her male friends.

WEEKLY SUNDAY PROBLEM – PICNIC FINISH, DON’T CARE ABOUT RUBBISH

A Facebook user, Janet Lo, shared some photos of rubbish being left behind at a open area where picnics and gatherings were held.

Here is what she said

We are appreciative to our foreign workers who have invaluable contributions to Singapore, taking up jobs that locals are not willing to do.

However, there are some who simply tarnish the reputation and created undesirable behavior in public spaces. They are enjoying the clean and green country yet not playing their part to keep our nation clean.

Look at the aftermath of the picnics below MRT track near Kallang station EVERY Sunday.

As much as we are tolerant to the noise and drinking sessions in the day, the rubbish they left behind inevitably created displeasure to the rest of us who have been good civic residents.

Dear authority, kindly take action to warn, fine or even terminate their work passes if they can’t even obey laws in Singapore.

It is not confined to the “green corridor” under the track, the whole vicinity are littered at every nooks and corners under void decks.
