CYCLIST KNOCKS INTO WOMAN AND LIES SAY HE DID NOT HIT HER, CAUGHT ON CCTV

I need justice!!

On 21 March 2022 (Monday), at about 5.30pm I was hit and knocked down by a cyclist immediately when I exited the side gate of my condo.

The cyclist was riding at a fast speed and did not braked when he saw me. It was too fast for me to react. The impact was so great that I was threw to the ground and blackout for a few seconds. I was in great pain and could not move my body. The cyclist helped me up and I called the ambulance immediately.

The cyclist did not apologize and was rude and arrogant. He claimed that he did not hit me and blamed me for not giving way to him. I remained silent.

I was in tremendous shock and my entire body was shivering badly. I was unable to move my neck and felt nausea while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. My entire body was in great pain and unable to provide statement to the police.

I was discharged on the same night and given 05 days of Outpatient Sick Leave. I suffered from neck sprain, head injury, hip bruises, and skin abrasion. I was unable to lay down and sit for long period of time due to the pain caused by the injuries.

On 23 March 2022 (Wednesday), I visited Punggol Polyclinic due to swelling left upper shoulder which also caused by the accident. 3 weeks after the accident, I have not fully recovered and still feel upper body muscle aching very badly especially my neck.

I am very traumatized now, living in stress and fear of cyclist.

On 24th March I received a call from AMK Police Station to schedule a appointment for my statement. I was told by the IO that I can only go to AMK police station and not any other stations. But till to date I have yet to hear from them…how long do I have to wait? Why can’t I go to other stations?

There were CCTV on the shelter pavement on the day of incident. However, it has been removed when I revisited on 25th March 2022. Fortunately the condo CCTV footage had captured the incident

I need justice!!!

GUY MARRIED MODEL WHO BUYS HIM EXPENSIVE GIFTS, TAKES HIM ON HOLIDAYS

0

I’m a trophy husband and I feel like I’m in a dream.

I’ve been modelling for years and had moved into management when I met my wife Lilly. I was managing the models for a high-end fashion show and we met backstage after the show. She was tall and was wearing a nice dress, so she stood out. I spoke to her and we liked each other. She was a nice but assertive and sophisticated person.

We went on a few dates after that and she invited me to her home. I knew she was rich but I was shocked when I saw her home – it was massive. I understood the scale of her wealth after that. Lilly worked at her parents’ business. We kept seeing each other for a few more months.

Lilly told me that she married a guy she liked in college, but he started gambling and sleeping around, so she divorced him. She told me stopped looking for partners after that.

One day when we were at her home, she told me she was getting old and that she wanted a husband she could show-off at events. She asked me if I wanted to be that person. I was caught off guard. She told me that I would get access to a lot of money and I could do whatever I wanted as long as it didn’t affect their reputation and I had to keep my body looking good.

I grew up in a middle class home and never had any money problems in my life. I had a good job but the prospect of having a lot of money without doing anything was too good. Lilly was a nice person and I liked her well enough, so the prospect of spending my life with her didn’t seem bad. I accepted her proposal and stuff moved quickly after that. Her parents liked me and we were married in a couple of months. This was four years ago.

I moved into her mansion and bought everything I ever wanted. But spending money got boring after a few months. I got bored doing nothing all day, so I took over cooking. I learnt different cuisines from our chef and occupied most of my days with that. Lilly and I became great friends. She used to tell me about her day and I learnt about the business from her. She’d take me to her events and parties and they were fun.

Covid hit and Lilly started spending a lot of time with at home with me. We slowly fell in love. It’s always funny to me that we fell in love after we got married. We are almost inseparable now. I spend most of my day cooking exotic stuff for her and she keeps buying expensive gifts for me and keeps taking us on vacations. We learnt that she’s pregnant recently.

I never thought I’d ever even see or experience even a quarter of the things I did in the last few years and I keep feeling weird about it – like my life is some dream.

S’PORE PR STUCK IN JB AFTER PASSPORT EXPIRED, CAN’T RETURN TO SG

With people entering and exiting Malaysia, more stories are told. A woman was stuck in Johor after she was refused exit by Malaysian customs due to a “one-off” stamp which only allowed her to return to Johor with an expired passport but not exit.

As the Malaysia Embassy in Singapore only gave her a stamp to return to Malaysia.

She had no choice but to remake her passport but the nearest appointment in Johor Bahru is 2 months away, essentially making her stuck in Malaysia

She posted her frustrations on Facebook hoping that someone could offer to give her a solution.

Here is what she said (roughly translated)

Malaysians who are residing in Singapore and require an extension stamp on their expired passport please take note!

This stamp can only be entered into Malaysia, but not out. because it’s a one-time!

I am an SG PR, I entered JB on the afternoon of April 6th, and I wanted to leave the country and return to Singapore at 12:00 pm, but was stopped at the Malaysian checkpoint. The reason is that the extension stamp I made is a one-off, and the officer’s statement is This stamp is for you to go back to Malaysia to make a new passport.

Because the Malaysian Embassy has not said, so I do not know. If I knew it, I wouldn’t want to go back on that day.

At that time, the custom officer also told me that he had encountered 7 such cases.

So at 12 midnight, I have to stay in JB by myself. What’s even more shocking is that making a passport requires an appointment, you can’t walk in (immigration at Setia Tropika), and the earliest appointment is in June.

If I am willing to go further Klang, the appointment will be on 25th April.

If there is a friend who has such a stamp-like me and wants to go back to Malaysia, remember to arrange an appointment to renew the passport first, don’t be like me. Online submission takes 3-4 days to get it.

U.S WILL SANCTION CHINA IF IT “MOVES AGGRESSIVELY” AGAINST TAIWAN

0

Janet Yellen, the U.S Treasury Secretary, saod that the US is prepared to impose sanctions on China if it moves aggressively against Taiwan, as reported by PBS.

However, she said that at the moment, there is no need to sanction China for its trade relationship with Russia.

Yellen was speaking at the House Financial Services Committee and giving her testimony on the international financial system.

She was questioned about China by U.S representatives, with the country viewing Taiwan as part of its territory.

China has also not ruled out the use of force to take control of Taiwan.

Yellen said that should Beijing move aggressively towards Taiwan, the U.S is prepared to impose sanctions on them.

She said: “I believe we’ve shown that we can in the case of Russia. I think you should not doubt our ability to resolve to do the same in other situations.”

GUY TIRED OF BEING A MAN, WISHED HE WAS A GIRL – MUM TELLS HIM TO MAN UP

0

I’m tired of being a “man”. As the oldest male in a traditional Chinese family you might think I have it easy or as the saying goes “重男轻女”. Which means boys are favoured over girls. I feel this isn’t the case at all and it feels like the other way around.

I’m tasked to do so many things which includes but not limited to: taking care of certain household expenses, occasionally being a chauffeur for my family such as bringing grandparents to polyclinic etc, do basic household chores, buy/cook food, deal with “manly stuff” like fixing sinks, computers, cabinets whatsoever, pay for my own stuff including tuition fees and personal expenses.

All these feels really suffocating and sometimes I wished I was born as a girl. My sister gets her tuition fees paid by our parents, she doesn’t do basic chores (heck she doesn’t even know how to change her bedsheets), but gets all the attention from guys and her boyfriend. Yes, she looks like a decent girl that might make some heads turn. Even had guys coming up to our house and giving things like cakes to her etc. She goes out every other day to meet her friends. Meanwhile, I’m just here trying to survive financially and try my best for this family.

I’m not sure what do I even like at this point in time, the past few years or so was a real blur to me. Even felt like I should have signed on to avoid all these issues. At least in the army, I had friends who cared about me even though we were suffering. Uni isn’t forgiving as well, I’m struggling to stay afloat in my course (it’s a competitive one)

Mom tells me to man up. Dad doesn’t do much and is focused on work and his friends, drinking etc. He basically just listens to my mom. I never felt so unloved and uncared for at this stage of life. I didn’t even know how it happened. It’s like adulthood just slapping me right in the face. I feel like I’m just another statistic/investment plan to my family.

Don’t get more wrong, I love my family and I want the best for them. But what about me? Does no one care about my feelings? Anyone in the same boat as me? Or faced similar issues?  I’m really tired of being the go-to man in the family.

WOMAN FEELS POINTLESS BECAUSE NOBODY REMEMBERED HER B’DAY

0

It was my birthday and nobody remembered. I shouldn’t be upset because it’s been this way my whole life but I am (30F)

This sounds really pathetic but I had my 30th birthday a few days ago and I didn’t get anything at all.

I’m not a horrible person but I’ve never been popular. My work organized a card & collection for everyone else when they have a birthday or engagement or buying a house.

I thought this year I would get something. My manager knew it was my 30th so I was hopeful but I didn’t get anything.

I have no family or friends or partner (he ghosted me 6 months ago) so I’m used to celebrating alone. I decided to buy myself a theatre ticket to see a musical but I was so down about everything that I didn’t go.

I’m done with it all honestly. Another year gone and have nothing so there’s no point. I shouldn’t be upset but I am.

Netizens’ comments

Hey I was exactly like you a few years ago. No partner, friends didn’t really care about me, family were in a different country so it was like they didn’t exist.

I used to let birthdays and holidays go by because I felt so awkward trying to reach out to people. I was so lonely and it nearly killed me.

I don’t have any advice for you other than start small and change some of the small things that make you miserable.

For me that started with quitting my job and relocating, and then I made friends at my new job and things started slowly to get better.

Nowadays I’m in a happy relationship and have a small number of friends that I’m very dedicated to. Things do get better if you’re willing to make a change. DM me if you wanna talk.

MSE TO TAKE “JUDICIOUS” ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS AGAINST SMM BREACHES

0

The Ministry of Sustainability and Environment (MSE) said that they will be carrying out enforcement action in a “judicious manner” against those to breach the new safe management measures (SMM).

This comes in the wake of SMM rules being eased on 29 March, including the wearing of masks outdoors which has since become optional.

MSE said that there could be some unfamiliarity around the definition of outdoors and indoors, as the public takes time to adapt to the new SMMs.

They said that although they will not be introducing a grace period, they will be taking enforcement actions against breaches in a judicious manner, depending on the circumstances of the breach.

Unde the new SMM rules, masks are still required indoors, such as places within buildings and places that are enclosed.

MSE said that SDA and SDEOs will continue to make sure people comply with the SMMs indoors and outdoors.
