A petition has been started by pet owners to give the woman in the photo, Charlotte Liew a harsher sentence, she was sentenced to 2 weeks in jail and fine SGD$37,500 for abusing animals and banned from operating any animal-related business for 1 year.

But netizens felt that it was not enough and started a petition that has gathered over 6700 people supporting the cause.

Money should not be the answer to crimes, just because she got a big fine does not mean it justifies the crime.  We appeal for a heavier jail sentence as deterrent that Singaporeans do not condone animal abuse!

MUM ROASTS DAUGHTER “SO FLAT STILL GOT PEOPLE WANT MEH”

A young mother recently shared a story with us about her teenage daughter’s alleged number of suitors and how she decided to put her in her place.

Here is the story

“ Hi, I am a young mother and my daughter is 16-17.

Everyday I will receive different parcels from delivery couriers addressed to my daughter.

When I asked her how come she bought so much stuff, she will always say that they are from her suitors.

She also says that sometimes when she comes back from school, there will be a few different guys that wants to send her home but she will reject them.

I told her that it is not nice to waste a boy’s time, money and effort if she is not interested in them but she tells me that it is their choice and she cannot reject them.

She even called my way of thinking old fashioned.

I decided to put her into her place one day when a guy sent her home and shouted to her “EH YOU SO FLAT STILL GOT PEOPLE WANT AH”

I could not stop feeling happy deep inside when I saw the embarrassed look on her face and I whispered to her, “Don’t teach your mother how to f**k”

POOR WORKER CHUCKED AT BACK OF LORRY WITH CONCRETE DEBRIS

A netizen shared a photo that showed a worker sitting at the back of a lorry, with the concrete debris from a construction work.

She said:

“I was really sad today when I saw the working conditions of this foreign construction worker. The man was in a lorry was full of concrete debris collected after renovations. This was very worrying as the debris  looked like it may fall on him any second. Also, it was around 1.50pm and it was very hot.

This shows the sad reality of foreign workers tough working conditions in Singapore. To all employers of foreign workers why are we still jeopardising the lives of the people whom could have possible built the building which you are in right now? Isnt one accident already one too many?”
