US VP HARRIS DEPARTURE FROM SPORE ALLEGEDLY DELAYED

A White House Official has annouced that US Vice-President Kamala Harris will depart from Singapore two hours later than originally scheduled.

An official said that reporters would be given the reason for the delay on the way to the airport ahead of the planned departure time of 6.30pm Singapore Time.

VP Harris was initially scheduled to depart from Singapore at 4pm to Vietnam but in a turn of events, reporters traveling with the VP’s entourage were sent back to Shangri-la Hotel at 3.30pm local time shortly after they boarded the vans for their journey to Paya Lebar Air Base.

While official trips like this often run behind schedule, a delay of this nature is typically unusual.

The U.S embassy in Singapore and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Singapore could not be reached immediately to respond to queries with regards to this delay.

NETIZEN ALLEGEDLY SCOLDED BY VIET STALL ASSISTANT FOR NOT KNOWING MANDARIN

A netizen recently shared her bad experience of buying “cai fan” or chinese economical rice from a stall allegedly at 301 Ubi Food house.

She went there to order her lunch and wanted to order hotdogs but she did not know how to say it in Mandarin and therefore used English to relay her order.

However, she alleged that the Vietnamese stall helper working there scolded her for using English because she does not know English.

It left the netizen feeling disgusted because she feels that they should not come to Singapore to work if they do not know English.

Here is her post

“Wanting to order Chinese economical rice for lunch. I do not know how to pronounce hotdog in Chinese so I speak English to order.

The vietnamese stall helper scolded me for speaking English and say she doesn’t know English. What for coming here to work if she doesn’t know English. I left with a disgusted face and I brought lunch from another stall.”

POWER OUTAGE AT SELEGIE HOT POT SHOP, FORCES ALL CUSTOMERS TO PAY & LEAVE

last night. I and my friend dined at BBQ & Hot Pot (la jiang shan) at 35 Selegie rd. We started ordering and waiting for the food to come out around 8:25pm. After we ate a little, the entire electrical system in the restaurant was turned off.

After more than 30 minutes of waiting but there was no news from the staff so everyone decided to leave “we only ate 20% of the food on the table”. Even more surprised when the owner here didn’t explain or say sorry the inconvenience happened but also started asking everyone Q to pay the bill.

She doesn’t care that you just entered the restaurant or finished dinner..everyone has to pay.

I feel that the amount is not too big but we are really annoyed because the service is so bad .

PAID OVER $2500 FOR FURNITURE, BUT WRONG STUFF CAME, TOA PAYOH SHOP WENT MIA

A netizen shared a story on how she was cheated by a furniture store on how she received the wrong goods and the shop owner went MIA after the delivery of the goods.

Here is her story:

Hi, I just want to share my story now at #megahome (615 Toa Payoh Lorong 4). I bought the bed and wardrobe there on 16/01/21 and requested for delivery on 05/15/21

But the item they delivered was wrong with the item I ordered. I contact the seller then he asked me to use the bed first and will make a new one change for me but till now they don’t have any news.

No one gives me the answer on when they will deliver. They used the reason because covid could not send the stock to Singapore. I understand a lot of Covid effects but they are open for business can’t use this excuse to reply to customers.

and I’ve also waited for 4 months without any news from them. I contacted them again and asked to return it but they also never replied to me. After they took the money from the customer didn’t care how long the customer needs to wait.

I share this so it does not happen to others everyone, be careful if planning to buy furniture at MEGA HOME
