NTU STUDENT TOOK ANOTHER UPSKIRT VIDEO WHILE OUT ON BAIL FOR SAME OFFENCE

0

Nicholas Tan Siew Chye, a Nanyang Technological University (NTU) student, pleaded guilty to two counts of voyeurism on 16 December.

A suitability report for mandatory treatment order was called for the offender, who was diagnosed with voyeuristic disorder.

Tan has been suspended from school and barred from the school campus.

Tan was visiting his girlfriend at the school campus when he took an upskirt video of another female student, he was then arrested on the same day and released on bail the next day, before he took another upskirt video of another girl.

What happened?

The first victim was a female hall resident who lived on the first floor, and Tan spotted her on 19 October 2020.

The girl was wearing a red dress at the time and returning to her room when Tan decided to follow her up the lift lobby on the 3rd floor.

He took out his phone as she waited for the lift and squatted down, putting his phone under and aiming the camera up her dress to record a video.

The victim turned around and saw him move back from his position, before leaving the lobby fearing for her safety.

She then informed the campus security of the incident and Tan’s identity was then established through CCTV footage.

Tan was then arrested on the same day before being released on bail the next day.

Reoffended

On 21 February, Tan was parking his car at a multi-storey car park while returning home and saw a 17-year-old girl in her school uniform, and he felt the urge to take an upskirt video of her.

He entered the same lift as the victim and he squatted down while stretching his arm out with his phone aimed towards her thigh to film her upskirt, as she was leaving the lift.

The girl then felt him touch her thigh and turned around and shouted at him, she then made a police report later that day.

Tan was then arrested again on 1 March.

Tan is due to return to court on 14 February 2020 for his sentencing.

WOMAN BOUGHT BUBBLE TEA FROM CUP WALKER, SPITS OUT CENTIPEDE FROM DRINK

0

A woman shared how she bought a cup of caramel milk tea from Cup Walker at their Sengkang Square outlet on 16 December.

She took a couple of sips from her drink before feeling something that didn’t seem like pearls inside her mouth.

She had apparently thought that it was a strand of hair, so she spat out whatever was inside her mouth and she was horrified to see a small centipede.

The woman then called the shop to tell them what happened, and the staff there apologised and offered her a new drink, which the woman understandably declined.

The staff member reasoned that they probably did not spot the inside as it was too small.

The Singapore Food Agency has also been notified by the woman about the incident, as she expressed being traumatised and disgusted by what happened.

GROUP RESTRAINED 14 Y.O BOY & TOOK OFF ALL HIS CLOTHES, FILMED HIM & POST ONLINE

0

A 16-year-old and 20-year-old pleaded guilty on 15 December to using criminal force with the intention to outrage modesty.

The judge called for probation suitability reports for the two offenders, who were part of a group of 5.

The identities of the victim and offenders cannot be named due to the Children and Young Persons Act protecting persons under the age of 18.

A 14-year-old boy had approached a group of 5 that was having a birthday celebration at a BBQ pit to say hello, but the group then turned on him and took off all his clothes, filming the incident and posting them online.

What happened?

The aggravating group comprised of the two accused, a 14-year-old girl, another 16-year-old who came up with the idea to pull down the victim’s pants after approaching them, and an unidentified male.

The victim was on his e-scooter riding past the BBQ pit at Rishun Ring Road at the time.

he was then restrained from behind and pulled down onto the ground, with two of the boys holding onto his arm on the floor and restraining his legs.

Another boy then undid the victim’s belt and pulled down his pants, before hanging it on a sheltered walkway.

He then hid the victim’s underwear in the bushes, as the victim pleaded for them to stop.

The 14-year-old girl then used her mobile phone to record a video of the incident, before filming another video of the two aggressors taking off the victim’s shirt.

The victim was fully undressed by then and he then escaped and hid behind a nearby bush as the two accused then laughed at him before returning his clothes.

The girl then sent the videos to the rest of the group.

The victim asked them to delete the videos and was assured that they wouldn’t circulate them. However, a staff member from the victim’s school then found the videos circulating online, and the discipline master was then informed about it.

A police report was then subsequently made.

The two offenders are due to return to court for their sentencing on 28 January.
