MAN TRESPASSED INTO RESTRICTED SAF TRAINING AREA TO “PICK PANDAN LEAVES”, JAILED

0

Cheng Lee Meng, 62-years-old, was jailed two months on 30 November for trespassing into a protected SAF training ground under the pretext of “picking pandan leaves”.

What happened?

The incident happened on 9 September 2020 at around 2.45am, Cheng had drove a van through after unlocking a gate that was padlocked at Ama Keng Road Track 9 in Lim Chu Kang, which is an entry point into the SAF training area.

They were then caught by a warrant officer (encik), and they then lied to him that he was a contractor assigned by his company “TKK” to conduct works there.

The warrant officer became suspicious because he wasn’t informed of any works arranged that day, to which Cheng then pretended to call his “boss” and handed the phone to the warrant officer.

The warrant officer asked the “boss” to identify himself and the “boss” then hung up the phone.

There to “pick pandan leaves”

Cheng then told the warrant officer that he was there to pick pandan leaves for prayers and that someone had given him the keys to the area, but refused to reveal who had given him the keys.

The warrant officer then called the police, to which Cheng became agitated and shouted at him, asking him why he was making things difficult.

The duo was then arrested and they told the police that they were there to pick pandan leaves.

He reportedly lied that the SAF gave him a set of keys back in 2000 when he was operating a business at the Ama Keng Dormitory – the gate was built in 2019.

Asked pest controller to duplicate keys

The police found out that Cheng has asked Tan Kim Hua, a pest controller who worked on the grounds, to duplicate a set of keys for him.

Tan agreed to do so but warned him that entering without permission was illegal, he also didn’t hand him the keys personally.

Tan told Cheng information about the training exercises held there because he was not allowed to work on those dates.

UNCOOPERATIVE SUSPECT BEING CARRIED BY ALMOST A DOZEN POLICE OFFICERS

A video emerged online showing a man being carried by a group of police officers like furniture being moved.

He was seen being carried by about 10-11 police officers, as he remained limp and allegedly refused to move.

The man was purportedly being uncooperative (according to the caption of the person who posted the video).

The police officers were seen carrying him towards an unspecified location, as two more p[police officers trailed behind the group.

It is unclear what exactly the man did, but according to the cameraman (who was narrating the incident), he said in Malay that the man “kena tangkap, mabuk, langgar orang, kau tengok!”

Which loosely translated, means that the guy was “caught” for being “intoxicated” and knocking into someone (presumably with a vehicle).

GIRL HITS BF FOR FUN, SAYS “GUYS SHOULD BE ABLE TO TAKE IT” THEN CALLS HIM SENSITIVE

0

A netizen shared how she hits her boyfriend as a form of “play”, which the guy then got angry at her because he found it annoying and they got into an argument.

She then took to Facebook to ask if all guys are really this “sensitive”.

Here is the story:

“Asking girls, do you hit your boyfriends? And guys, do you like being hit? Of course i’m not talking about actual physical abuse, i mean just playing around.

So i hit and pinch my boyfriend quite a lot. It’s just for fun, but recently he asked me if i can stop it. It actually became quite a big argument.

Can dish out but can’t take it

i said that as a guy he should be able to take it and i’m not hurting him anyway. He just said it annoys him sometimes as i do it very often, and i wouldn’t accept it if he did it to me.

I said of course not as i’m a girl, and i thought most guys like these kind of playing from their girlfriend anyway.

Asks if guys are this sensitive

It went back and forth and after that i think he just gave up and said ok do whatever you want. I don’t think i did anything wrong as he’s a guy and i’m not intending to hurt him.

Pls no big discussion about equality in the comments, i’m just wondering if all guys are really this sensitive.”

0

A university student shared how he/she feels overwhelmed by school within the first semester of enrolling.

The netizen shared that he/she would feel anxious in the new environment and feels demotivated and sluggish, breaking out in cold sweat and becoming breathless from panicking.

Here is the full story:

“Am I the only one who feels this way since starting university?

In the past year, I constantly feel anxious. Especially in new environment. On my first day of physical lessons, I found myself unable to sleep the night before.

Panic attack

Then when I reached campus and could not find my class, I was in cold sweat and found myself breathless from panicking.I cannot seem to focus.

I constantly study one module with my head thinking about another module that has an upcoming exam too. I end up toggling between subjects and lose my focus easily.

I also find myself very demotivated and sluggish. Despite putting in more effort this semester, I feel like I am everywhere.

Afraid of being a disappointment

A lot of things that used to bring joy to me no longer does. I no longer enjoy playing my mobile games. I no longer enjoy netflix/YouTube. I no longer enjoy sports. Because it feels like I don’t have the time.

Then there’s this constant fear of disappointing others. When I don’t do well, my first concern is disappointing my professors, my parents or others who have put effort in me. I don’t want them to feel sad because I didn’t do well.

I hope second half of sem 1 will be better. Hang in there everyone!”

Editor’s note: No shame in seeking help for mental health struggles, hang in there!

MAN ALLEGEDLY INTOXICATED, HELPED OFF BUSY ROAD BY OFF-DUTY POLICEMAN

A netizen recounted how a man who was allegedly intoxicated, was standing in the middle of a busy road dangerously.

He was then helped off the road and to safety by a person wearing a police lanyard whom she perceived to be an off-duty officer and commended him.

Here is the story:

“It was close to 11pm in the night and I was driving home when i noticed a man who was drunk/high standing in the middle of the road with oncoming vehicles.

Off duty officer

He disregarded everyone else’s safety by rushing onto the road!!!

Thankfully there was a BRAVE & HELPFUL person (i think it’s an off-duty police officer as he/she was wearing the police lanyard) helping to control the traffic so that this man would not be knocked down by an oncoming vehicle!!

Tried to enter other people’s cars

There were several times when he tried to climb into others’ cars but luckily this officer held him back!!

Good job to this officer for keeping us safe! Kudos to SPF for having such dedicated officers! We feel safe!”

WOMAN SAYS HUSBAND IS LOYAL, BUT CHEATS ON HIM FOR 2 YEARS

0

A netizen shared how he is married to her husband for 7 years, describing him as being loyal and doesn’t gamble or cheat on her.

However, she revealed that she had been cheating on him for 2 years with another man whom she calls her “soul mate”.

Here is the full story:

“I am in a marriage with a guy for 7 years. He is loyal and doesnt gamble or flirts or cheated on me before.

Before our marriage i had a conversation with him about how our marriage life is going to be. How we would work for our future together and how he would help out with chores and have savings and still spend quality time together as a couple.

He doesnt come from a very good background. Parents are just barely making it. But that doesnt bother me because i thought once we are married, we will work hard together.

He is also lazy and i have to constantly push him then would he do anything. More like how a mother would.

1 year into the marriage, i wanted to annul because he is not providing me with even the basic needs in a relationship. The emotional support, physical support.

2 years into the marriage i brought up divorce but he insisted he wouldn’t want. I gave him that chance.

3rd year i brought up divorce again and another episode happens again. I gave him another chance again.

In our 4th year of marriage and i am still thinking of leaving him. Everything that was promised, wasn’t delivered. Even if he did, it just wasn’t good enough because the basic needs are not even there.

As a married couple, we haven’t had s-x for 3 years straight!

I am in love with a guy who is able to provide me with everything i need from emotion to physical to s—-l needs.

We had been secretly dating for 2 years now and to be honest, we both are like soul mates.

But i am finding the right time to bring up the divorce. Or is there no right time for it? Anyone?”
