According to the Ministry of Health, 3,496 cases were reported as of 1 November 2021, 12 PM.
The new cases consist of 3,352 community cases, 141 dormitory resident cases and 3 imported cases.
 9 more cases, aged between 53 and 93 years, have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
All of them, except for 2 unvaccinated individuals, had various underlying medical conditions.Â

According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force, a fire occurred along CTE towards SLE.
When SCDF firefighters arrived on the scene they saw the vehicle crash against the tunnel walls and burning fiercely.
SCDF used one compressed air foam jet. to put out the fire. The driver was conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
“There were no other reported injuries. SCDF’s investigation revealed that after the vehicle had crashed into the wall, two members of the public quickly rescued the driver to safety. “
“Shortly after, the vehicle burst into flames. SCDF has reached out to the two good Samaritans and commended them for their quick-thinking and selfless act.”
Singapore’s Health Minister Ong Ye Kung said on 1 November that the government is considering making unvaccinated Covid patients pay for a part of their own medical treatment.
This is after they have received suggestions from the public as well as MPs, revealed Ong.
Ong said that this will serve as a strong signal to the unvaccinated people to get vaccinated.
He added that the government is also continuing to strive to expand the portfolio of the vaccines so that there is a suitable one for everybody.
He further added that the number of unvaccinated elderly people have dropped from 200,000 to less than 70,000 at the moment.
