Instagram page @sgcickenrice has acted in response to the Cease and Desist letter issued to him via NOC and Sylvia Chan’s lawyers.

The Instagram page has engaged one of Singapore’s top lawyers, Eugene Thuraisingam from Eugene Thuraisingam LLP, to act for them and issue a lawyer letter to Night Owl Cinematics and Sylvia.

A quick scan through the law firm’s website showed a host of awards won by them.

A photo of the letter was posted onto their Instagram profile.

In the lawyer letter, it stated that NOC’s first lawyer letter “has not alleged that (the allegations) are untrue”.

They also highlighted that the letter sent to @sgcickenrice was sent after 6pm on 11 October 2021, demanding action to be taken by 10am on 12 October 2021.

A 33-year-old woman was charged in court with 9 charged, including 2 counts of molestation and harassment.

She is also being accused of molesting her 31-year-old brother-in-law.

The parties cannot be named due to a gag order protecting the victim’s identity.

What happened?

In the early hours of 12 August, the man and woman were in a flat when the woman allegedly hugged him and kissed his back.

She also allegedly grabbed his private parts and touched his right thigh.

The woman was earlier released from jail in July and was supposed to stay out of trouble between 10 July to 16 August as part of her remission order.

By allegedly molesting her brother-in-law on 12 August, she had breached her remission order and will have to spend extra time in jail should she be convicted.

At the time of writing, the trial is still ongoing; with her pre-trial conference due to take place on 19 October.

Zeri Adli Saiful Rijal, 26-years-old, pleaded guilty to 2 charges of sexual penetration of a minor.

He was sentenced to 10 months imprisonment on 11 October.

Another charge of possessing obscene videos was considered during his sentencing.

What happened?

Zeri was serving his NS at the time of his offence, which was in early 2019.

He met the victim, a 14-year-old girl who was in Secondary 3 on Instagram, who told him where she was studying at.

They met up in Janunary 2019 with Zeri going to the girl’s school to wait for her, the two then went to a mall and hugged at the rooftop garden.

A few days later, Zeri went to the girl’s school again to wait for her and they went to the mall for lunch.

Zeri then suggested going to a quiet place and brought the victim to a secluded staircase where he kissed her.

He then exposed his kukubird and asked the girl to perform a sexual act on him.

The victim complied and Zeri then performed a sex act on the girl as well, they then dressed themselves and went on their separate ways home.

The duo then met a few more times after that but did not engage in anymore sexual activities.

On 16 April 2019, the girl went home late and her suspicious mother asked what she was doing after school.

The girl then told her about Zeri and her phone was then checked by her mother.

The girl then admitted to her mother about the sexual acts that she did on Zeri and a police report was then lodged by her mother.

Some scammers really try very hard to get, even used photos of attractive women (the photo above is one of the photos found on the scammer’s profile) to lure potential victims.

The scammer said that the man has won SGD$1150 and claims to be from Shopee. The man entertained the scammer and it did not take long before the scammer tried asking for personal details.

The scammer claimed that he/she needed credit card information to transfer the earnings to the man and even provided a fake screenshot to cheat the man.

The scammer appears to be using Facebook to contact people.

A P-Plate rider who parked at a motorcycle lot at 757A Pasir Ris Street 71 Multi-Storey Car Park has shared his encounter online.

He received a note which was placed on his bike by a more “lao jiao” rider who claims to be a permanent rider at this car park.

The note reads, “Hello, looks like you are new here… I did not see your Motorbike before… Can you kindly parked at other motorcycle parking lot. As most of the parking lot at this two level is occupied by permanent owners. When you started to park here we don’t have a parking lot to park. Thanks for your understanding.”

Pictures shared by the rider has shown that the “reserved” lots are decorated with stickers and also a clock on the car park wall.

Netizens have commented that the note rider thinks that he bought the whole MSCP and some also told the rider to ignore the note guy as only red lots are reserved for season holders.

The National Environment Agency (NEA) said in a press release on 11 October that enforcement actions were taken against 84 people from 8 October to 10 October.

They had breached Safe Management Measures (SMMs) at hawker centres by gathering in groups of more than 2, failing to observe a safe distance of at least 1 metre and failure to wear a mask or not wearing them properly.

The offences occurred at the following locations:

• Newton Food Centre,
• Whampoa Food Centre,
• Haig Road Market & Food Centre,
• Golden Mile Food Centre,
• Hong Lim Market & Food Centre, and
• Chinatown Complex Market & Food Centre.
