4 MEN CHARGED IN COURT FOR LUP SUP MATERIAL IN GROUP ON TELEGRAM

Four men were charged in court on Wednesday, July 28, for transmitting obscene materials through a Telegram group “Sam’s lots of CB collection”

The group contained alot of leaked sex videos, nudity pictures of women and private videos circulated without the women’s consent.

These are the accused:

Wong Ming Jun, 28, was given 11 charges for possession and transmitting obscene materials. He is also accused of having 2400 obscene videos and 1880 obscene images.

Tan Yeow Chong, 40, was given 7 similar charges. He is also accused of possessing almost 20,000 obscene videos and 7000 obscene images.

Yee Wing Kay, 46, received 10 charges, and was accused of have 18 obscene videos and 72 obscene images.

Anthony Fernandez, 30, was handed 6 charges, and accused of having 118 obscene videos and 406 obscene photos.

Police statement showed that a report was made against the telegram group on Oct 24, 2019 and the men were subsequently arrested on Nov 6, 2019.

Investigations that followed showed that three of them were administrators of the group while one of them was in charge of the sale of the obscene materials.

They could have been given the maximum penalty of six months jail and/or $20000 fine for possession of obscene materials and another three months jail and/or fine for transmitting the materials.

They will return to court on a further date.

21 INDIAN FTS BARRED FROM WORKING IN SG, USED FAKE DEGREE TO APPLY FOR WORK PASS

According to the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), 23 individuals were investigated by the MOM for degrees from Manav Bharti University.

Two jailed so far

Two Indian nationals have been jailed after they tried to use fake degrees to apply for the work pass.

The two-man are Bailwal Sunil Dutt and Sutradhar Bijoy both of them declared that they are university graduates from Manav Bharti University.

Bilawal was sentenced to 1-week jail and Sutradhar received sentencing of 4 weeks jail.

Both of them will be barred from Singapore and 19 other individuals will soon be barred from Singapore as well

Tried to get higher salary and S pass

Baiwal applied for a job as a restaurant cook and claims that he has a degree, Sutradhar tried to apply for an S pass as well as an assistant warehouse manager.

The forge degree only cost them SGD$730. While in Singapore any degree would have cost over 5 figures.

Sutradhar was paid up to SGD$3,000 during his employment in Singapore.

CRAZY YISHUN RESIDENT POINT LASER AT DRIVERS TRYING CAUSE ACCIDENT

A resident on the fourth floor used a laser pointer to shine at drivers trying to blind them, netizens said that the perpetrator is trying to cause an accident at a parking lot located at 622 Yishun Ring Road.

The incident happened on Sunday (July 25) at around 11.13 PM.

The driver who posted the videos said that a Police report has been filed.

For committing a rash act endangering human life, the person could be jailed for up to six months or fined up to S$2,500, or both.

VIETNAM GIRL SINGING KTV IN MIDDLE OF NIGHT AT YISHUN MINIMART

A resident staying in Yishun Ring Road complaint after hearing noisy KTV singing from a Vietnamese girl and guy.

The resident recorded several videos and the singing was so loud they could hear it few floors above.

The Facebook user said: “Vietnamese singing KTV making loud noise nuisance disturbing nearby residents at Blk 110 Yishun ring road”.

The music came from unit #01-387 (Vietnam Mini Mart)

BICYCLE BLOCKS BUS AND DELAYS TRAFFIC

A passenger waiting at the bus stop was unhappy with the behaviour of the cyclist.

It is obvious that there are at least two buses behind the cyclist waiting for the cyclist to give way. But the cyclist took her jolly own sweet time and waste the passengers of two buses.

FIRE AT GEYLANG BAHRU, BESIDE TOWN COUNCIL. SCDF DEPLOYED 51 VEHICLES

A video has been circulating on whatsapp about an apparent fire at Geylang Bahru this morning, 28 July 2021. (70A Geylang Bahru)

Earlier today at about 6.35am, SCDF was alerted to a fire at the abovementioned location. Upon SCDF’s arrival, the fire was found well-alight on the second floor of two-storey premises.SCDF firefighters immediately deployed water jets around the premises to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading.

Once the fire was under control, firefighters donned breathing apparatus sets and proceeded onto the second floor to locate the seat of the fire. Firefighters had to exercise caution as roof tiles directly above them started collapsing.

SCDF deployed 11 emergency vehicles and about 40 firefighters to the incident. At the height of the operation, four water jets were deployed.

The fire involved the contents of a dance studio on the second floor of the premises and was extinguished by SCDF in about one hour. SCDF is currently performing damping down* operations.

The Town Council building at No. 70 Geylang Bahru is generally unaffected.*Damping down refers to the application of water to wet burnt surfaces immediately after a fire is put out. It is to prevent any potential rekindle of fire from the hot burnt surfaces.

PUNGGOL PRI SCH CLEANER & WESTLITE JUNIPER DORM AMONG NEW CLUSTERS

Four new COVID clusters have been identified in Singapore.

Among them is a cluster of nine cases at Westlite Juniper Dormitory. Eight of these cases, who are dormitory residents, were linked to the cluster on Tuesday, 27 July 2021.

There is also a cluster of four cases linked to a cleaner at Punggol Primary School.

The cluster at Marina Bay Sands Casino now has a total of 40 cases, after six more infections were linked to it.

There are currently a total of 39 active clusters in Singapore, ranging between three and 902 infections.

GIRL USE HAND TO PLAY BADMINTON, TRIES TO CONTROL LAUGHTER

A video has emerged on Facebook of a ladies badminton doubles competition.

In the video, the female athlete dropped her badminton racquet while engaging in an intense gameplay.

She then cheekily decided to hit the shuttlecock back using her hand.

She can be seen trying to control her laughter as well.

DRIVER ILLEGALLY TRANSPORT PASSENGER, CAR CONFISCATED BY LTA

A picture of a summon by LTA on a driver has emerged on Facebook.

The summon seems to be given because the driver was caught illegally transporting the passenger for a fee at Sengkang East Road on 27 July 2021.

He ended up having his vehicle impounded and seized by LTA.
