WOMAN LEFT STEP SON ALONE AT HOME & BLAMES SISTER FOR GOING TO SCHOOL

0

My sister is married and has a 5 yo stepson. her husband works full time and she is in between jobs right now and currently being a stay home step-mom.

Every monday, she’d call my mom at 9am to get her to go over to her house and watch her stepkid for few hours, I live at home with my parents and so I’ve noticed this routine for weeks now.

Last week mom went to visit some relatives, and yesterday (monday) at 9am my sister called asking me to come watch her stepkid for few hours because she had an important thing to do. I said no because I had to go study and also she does this every monday so clearly it wasn’t important or urgent but she insisted it was, I told her sorry but no. She ended the call then I went to the university.

Hours later, I got a call from my brother in law asking where my sister was, I said I had no idea. he proceeded to tell me he just came home at 1pm and found his son by himself at the house. I was in shock that my sister left her stepkid by himself so she could go God knows where. I told him about the conversation I had with her and he got angry.

In the evening my sister came over and started making a scene by yelling at me for telling on her after she sent me a text message telling me she was already out the house to force me to come watch her stepson.

I didn’t see the fb message til she told me but she said I did this deliberately and also, exposed her to her husband because she told him she’d be at home with the kid. Not just that, but I also told her husband that mom comes over every monday morning to watch the kid for few hours which caused a huge fight between him and my sister.

She yelled that I was petty and selfish and just stirred “….” and caused issues in her marriage by tattling to her husband. I couldn’t keep arguing I went into my room and started playing music.

My dad and the others said I was to blame for not helping my sister and now being the reason she and her husband are in conflict.

Wow suddenly, my studies are less important because of her irresponsiblity.

WOMAN GOT EX-HUSBAND FIRED FROM HIS JOB AFTER HE MAKES A SCENE

0

Can’t believe I’m posting here but here I go.

I have an ex, “Richard” his 34 and I’m 29 years old. Its been 3 years since we separated due to him being abusive and cheating, but we are not divorced as divorce is expensive and whenever I apply for divorce Richard insists on meditation, so divorce is not granted as “one of us tries to save the marriage”. However, He lives with his mistress and they have kid together that was conceived when we were still together. Due to both of them harassing and abusing me, I have a restraining order against both of them. My employer is aware of all of this as the company my ex works for supplies the buildings their offices are at.

Now to the actual events:

Due to restrictions everyone is currently working from home with a few days in the office. Richard decided to show up at my work with his kid and demanded to see me for “child support” money since we are still legally married.

As my employer is aware of the situation, the reception refused to tell him if I’m in the office or not (I was) and asked Richard to leave. Richard did not and security was called. As he was with his child, security couldn’t use force to remove Richard, so reception threatened to call the company he works for.

Richard didn’t believe the reception can do it, so long story short he and his mistress were fired with immediate effect as Richard showing up at my work has been seen as gross misconduct and they discovered Richard was his mistress boss (apparently his employer didn’t know they were together and its strictly forbidden to have a relationship with someone who is directly employed by you). The company apologised for Richards actions and gave a considerable discount for their services to make sure the news of what happened wouldn’t spread.

Since they were fired I’m getting calls from unknown numbers of various Richards/his mistress family members and friends saying I’m responsible for it and just a jealous “vulgarity” for getting them fired to get Richard back.

We still have some friends in common and they believe him getting fired and loosing the only source of income they have is too harsh and I should of prevented that/shouldn’t have spoken in the beginning about what happened.

GIRL ACCUSES MAN OF “STARING” AT HER, BUT MAN WAS ACTUALLY WATCHING TV

0

A girl posted a video onto TikTok alleging that a man was “staring” at her in the gym, and netizens soon came to the defence of the man.

The TikTok user, Michelle Lim, had posted the video onto her TikTok account @michxlim on 19 January, showing the man in a white T-shirt allegedly “staring” at her.

She captioned her video “filmed to confirm my suspicion because he kept staring at my direction”.

Lim then included the hashtag #gymcreeps in her video, and added the caption “Exercise: 10 sets of staring at girls in the gym”.

She then purportedly referred to the man touching his nose in the video by adding a line “remember to santise before using machine guys,” in her video.

The girl then added “watch how he slowly checks out the girl” in her video, showing the man pacing around the gym and stopping for a short while to “look at her direction”.

Man was actually watching TV behind her

A TikTok user by the name of @dontanyhowrecord, posted a video showing a television right above the gym equipment where Lim had likely placed her camera to record the man.

Lim then turned off the comments on all of her videos and posted a statement to explain and apologize to the man.

Here is her statement:

“Hi, my name’s Michelle and I go by my social handle: @michxlim. You probably have seen the video where I have filmed and uploaded a particular gym user who happened to be at the gym the same time as me on Tiktok. I have since deleted the video.

I remember feeling uncomfortable while doing my walking lunges as we made eye contact frequently. I felt unsafe at that point of time and when I switched to my next exercise at the cables, I decided to film him for evidence (in case anything happened to me). It was getting late, I left the gym shortly after and looked through the video while I was on the way home. Hence, approaching him or the staff didn’t come across my mind.

While I was editing the video, I just wanted to get my point across that everyone should feel safe at a public space that is commonly dominated by the males. And females should be free to choose their outfits based on their likes and preferences and shouldn’t be judged for it. That’s all.

I’m fully aware of the consequences now and I should have handled the situation better. I had no concrete evidence to show to the public that the guy was staring at me as the video was filmed discretly on ground level and at an awkward angle. Additionally, posting one’s personal privacy to the public is illegal and could have serious damage on one’s future aspects such as reputation tarnishing.

I’m sorry to the guy I’ve posted in the video – Also, I don’t have your contact. Please reach out to me so I can apologise to you personally too.”

ILLEGALLY IMPORTED M’SIA BAK KWA STOPPED BY ICA FROM ENTERING S’PORE

0

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) posted on their Facebook about illegal imports of Bak Kwa and pork floss being stopped from entering Singapore by officers from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).

Here is ICA’s statement:

“Looking to get your favourite bak kwa (Chinese sweet meat jerky) from overseas this CNY? Check that it’s allowed before purchasing! Meat and meat products such as bak kwa and pork floss can only be imported from approved sources. (Yes, even if it is for personal consumption)

Over the past two weeks, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers at the land checkpoints have foiled attempts to illegally import a total of 169 cartons and 11 packets of unapproved assorted bak kwa, and 3 cartons of pork floss from Malaysia. Thus far, there are no establishments in Malaysia approved to export bak kwa and pork floss into Singapore. SFA is investigating these illegal imports.

Illegally imported food products are from unknown sources and can pose a food safety risk. Consumers are advised to purchase from established retailers. When in doubt, ask for more information from the supplier about the source before purchase.

Offenders who import meat products illegally are liable to a fine not exceeding $50,000 and/or imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years, and in the case of a subsequent conviction, to a fine not exceeding $100,000 and/or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years.

Safeguarding Singapore’s borders remains top priority for ICA. ICA will continue to conduct security checks to detect and deter illegal importation attempts so as to keep Singapore safe.”

FATHER DONATES 9 Y.O DAUGHTER’S ORGANS, WHO DIED AFTER BEING PUSHED BY STUDENT

0

A 9-year-old girl in China reportedly passed away after she was accidentally pushed by her classmate and hit her head into a wall, resulting in brain damage.

The girl’s father, Huang Qin, made the painful decision to donate her organs in the hope that she can live on in other people.

What happened?

According to the South China Morning Post, the 9-year-old girl, nicknamed Tongtong, was attending a primary school in the Qinzhou, Guangxi Zhuang region of Southern China.

A classmate had run out of the classroom to go to a physical education lesson and knocked into the girl, causing her to hit her head against a wall – the girl then fainted.

CCTV footage showed the physical education teacher helping the girl, who had lost consciousness and whose arms and head were hanging down.

He then gave the girl some red sugar water after she regained consciousness and asked her if she was comfortable, to which she shook her head.

The student who pushed Tongtong was then summoned to the form teacher’s office, and Tongtong was asked if she forgives the student.

The teacher then told Tongtong’s father that she forgave the classmate who accidentally pushed her.

The girl’s father said that his daughter was too young to realise the seriousness of her injury when she ran out to rejoin the PE class.

Failed to inform father immediately

Huang said that he wasn’t informed about the incident until a few hours later despite the seriousness of the injury that saw her faint on the spot.

He recalled the last thing that his daughter said to him was that she forgot to have her lunch, “those were the last words my daughter ever said to me”.

He scolded the teachers and blamed them for not detecting the problem sooner.

Huang noticed an egg-sized lump above his daughter’s ear and he then called the ambulance, but the ambulance didn’t come so he drove her himself to the hospital, by which time the girl couldn’t swallow anymore.

The doctors then found blood in the girl’s brain and decided against operating on her, and the girl then died from brain damage about 9 days later.

Donated organs so she could live on in others

The grieving father cried when he signed the paperwork to donate his daughter’s organs, deciding to donate 7 of her organs including her heart, corneas and kidneys.

He said that he just wanted his daughter’s heart to continue beating and hopes that she could stay in this world in another way, as well as motivate others to live on.

THAILAND RESUMES “TEST & GO” QUARANTINE FREE TRAVEL FROM 1 FEB

The “Test & Go” travel scheme by Thailand is set to resume on 1 February for travellers going to the country, according to Richard Barrow in Thailand.

It is a scheme that requires arrivals to quarantine for online one night if they test negative for Covid-19.

The scheme is set to be reinstated with a few modifications; travelers now need to provide evidence of a hotel booking for at least 5 nights, according to The Nation Thailand.

Prior to the reinstatement, travelers were previously required to just isolate for one night.

Thailand’s Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) also announced the presumption of the Test & Go scheme, and they have said that all nationals are welcome to participate in the programme.

However, they have also added that the rules are subject to change.

Regulations

The CCSA said that under the test & Go programme, travellers must:

  • Provide proof of payment for two RT-PCR tests for their application
  • Stay in a SHA Extra Plus hotel that’s partnered with a hospital on the first and fifth day of their visit.
  • have insurance that covers both quarantine and hospitalisation, should they test positive for the coronavirus.

MONITOR LIZARD FOUND WITH CABLE TIE AROUND ITS NECK @ SUNGEI BULOH

0

A netizen, Loke Peng Fai, shared a photo onto the Facebook group Singapore Wildlife Sighting, of a monitor lizard with a cable tie around its neck.

Here is the story:

“It pains my heart to see this picture.

The monitor lizard is suffering and dying of slow death. Its neck was tied and it is choking on its own food.

Did someone do this on purpose? Or is it trapped by the litter we throw? We will never know the answer. One thing for sure is that it is caused by humans.

Please don’t litter. Treasure our nature and save our environment.

Nparks have been informed. I understand that they are aware of this and trying to get to the lizard for some time now but have not been successful

Just want to clarify one point, I didn’t notice the ‘clamp’ when I took the photo. Only much later at night after I downloaded the photo then I realized what happened.

The main purpose of this post is to educate the public and to create awareness.”

“WELL KNOWN” CATHOLIC FIGURE CHARGED FOR EXPLICIT ACTS WITH UNDERAGE BOYS

0

A man in his 60s who is described as being a “prominent” and well-known figure among Singapore’s Catholic community, was charged earlier today for offences against at least 2 underaged boys in 2005 and 2006.

He cannot be named because of a gag order protecting the identities of the victims and the school where the crimes allegedly occurred.

The man is facing two charges of carnal intercourse against the order of nature under section 377 of the 1985 revised edition of the Penal Code, which has since been repealed in 2007.

The man is also facing two more charges of exploitation of a child under the Children and Young Persons Act.

What happened?

The man allegedly engaged in fellatio with one of the boys, who was then aged between 14 and 16, sometime between 1 January 2005 and 31 December 2006.

He then allegedly made the younger boy who was then aged between 14 and 15, do the same thing between April and December 2007.

He is also accused of committing an indecent act with the victims by performing an explicit act on them in 2005 and 2007.

A psychiatric evaluation for the man was then called and he is due to return to court on 3 February.
