On the anniversary of the GE2020, PAP’s Heng Swee Keat addressed his epic East Coast plan speech on Facebook.
He said that no one talked about the East Coast plan a year ago, and because of his Nomination Day speech, the East Coast plan became one of the most talked about during the GR.
It spawned a myriad of memes and even inspired East Coast plan merchandise.
He said that whoever accused Singaporeans of being uncreative, humourless and boring are wrong.
He added that he is always happy when Singaporeans get entrepreneurial and innovative.
At least the man has got a sense of humour, respect.
A video emerged online showing a Singapore police car “taking a nap” inside the longkang.

Two teenagers (15 and 16-years-old) went to Sheng Siong Supermarket twice a night and stole a total of 160 eggs.
Within two hours, they threw the stolen eggs everywhere, stood on the side of the road and threw them at the passing cars, threw them at the side entrance of Woodlands Police Station and even threw eggs into HDB flats.
Among them, a 16-year-old teenager faced 15 charges in total, including crimes such as theft, trespassing, public nuisance, and hoax. He admitted four of them yesterday (July 9), and the rest will be considered by the judge when the sentence is concluded, and the sentence will be sent after the probation monitoring report is released.
The incident happened from around 12 am to 5 am on April 9 2021.
The two first drank alcohol at the HDB Block 309, Woodlands Street 31, and then dial the 999 police hotline for help from the same location for no reason.
At 3:11 AM, the duo went to Shengsong Supermarket at Block 301 in Woodlands and stole four boxes of 40 eggs. The two of them were standing on the side of the street and started smashing eggs towards the vehicles driving towards them and on their last stop they went to Woodlands Police Station and threw the eggs on the side door of the Police Station.
After the eggs ran out, they went back to Sheng Siong Supermarket and stole another 120 eggs in four trays and continue to throw eggs at cars.
The duo who were finally tired stop and were arrested by the Police at 7 AM.
