Lim Leong Sze, 57-years-old, pleaded guilty on 18 June to one count of carnal intercourse against the order of nature under Section 377 of the Penal Code.

He had reportedly sexually violated a 14-year-old boy in 2005 (the boy would be 30-years-old this year) and fled Singapore in 2010, right before he was about to be charged, and went on the run for 10 years.

He was caught by Malaysian authorities and repatriated to Singapore in February 2020.

Lim was working as a debt collector at the time of the offence.

What happened?

Lim has posed as a 20-something-year-old woman on the internet chat programme mIRC in September 2005, under the nickname “Angel16”.

He then started talking to the Secondary 2 boy, and they later moved their conversation to MSN Messenger, where he asked him to perform a sex act in front of the webcam.

The boy thought Lim was a woman, so he complied; to which Lim secretly filmed the victim.

The boy then received a call on his home phone from an unidentified caller.

The boy then asked Lim whether he was a boy or a girl but Lim didn’t reply, the boy then blocked him on MSN.

Lim then called him again and told him that he has video footage of him, telling him to repeat what he did in front of the webcam again and if he doesn’t, he would post the clip online or tell his father about the incident.

The boy complied.

Lim then asked the boy to be his “brother” and suggested the meet, which the boy agreed to because he was still worried about the video.

Lim then showed the boy obscene videos ove Soya Bean drinks in Geylang before he took him to his office, where he performed a sexual act on the victim.

The boy moved away and said he was uncomfortable.

Lim the brought him to a pub before sending him home.

OPn 25 September 2005, Lim contacted the boy again and asked him to perform a sexual act in front of the webcam.

The boy refused and reported the incident(s) to the police 2 days later, and lim was then arrested on 29 September 2005.

Lim is expected to be sentenced on 12 July.

Jonathan Ching Wang De, 25, was sentenced on 18 June to 2 years and 11 months jail, as well as a fine of $1,000.

He pleaded guilty to recruiting a child for sexual exploitation under the Prevention of HUman Trafficking Act (PHTA), cheating and transmitting an obscene image.

Ching had reportedly recruited a 13-year-old girl to perform sexual acts on another man in exchange for video footage of the act.

The other man, who received sexual favours from the victim, Muhammed Ayub P.N Shahul Hameed, 30-years-old, was sentenced to 2 years jail in August 2019 for having sex with a minor.

What happened?

Ching had contacted Ayub via an advertisement website Locanto after seeing his post requesting for sexual services.

Ching then offered to arrange meetings with women for him, in exchange for videos of the sex act, instead of money.

Ching then recruited a woman for this arrangement but Ayub wanted $750 for the video he took of her.

Ching then offered Ayub another girl if he agreed to film her and send the video clip to him.

Ching then found a 13-year-old girl on Instagram on March 2018.

He promised her fast cash by performing the sexual act and the girl lied that she was 14, agreeing to the arrangement as she needed money.

Ayub promised to pay the girl $1,500 but he had no intention of fulfilling that promise.

The girl then went to Ayub’s house in June 2018, lying that she was 18.

He then filmed her while having sex, with the girl’s knowledge.

Ayub then took a screenshot and sent a 1-minute video clip to Ching.

Ching asked for the full video of the girl as well as the first woman that he sent to Ayub, who refused and demanded either cash or a second meeting with the girl.

Ching then lied to the girl that Ayub was threatening to send the videos to her Instagram followeres and post them online unless she met him again or gave him $300.

The girl refused.

Ching then pretended to be a girl on Tumblr, calling himself “Crystal” to lure other men into his scheme.

A man soon contacted “Crystal” and paid $300 to him after he sent him a screenshot of the teenage girl performing a sex act, and the money was sent to Ayub.

At this point, Ayub then blocked Ching from all forms of contact and still didn’t send him the videos.

Ching then contacted one of the girl’s followers on Instagram to ask her to reply to his messages.

He then sent the follower a screenshot of Ayub’s video and asked her if she wanted a video like that of herself.

The woman declined and called the police after contacting the girl.

A netizen shared how he purchased a carton of drinks online via Lazada.

The items didn’t arrive and it was allegedly marked delivered by the seller.

He then contacted customer service who told him to file for a refund, which he did but was rejected by the seller.

So he contacted Lazada again, who told him to repeat the steps again, which he did but was rejected by the seller again.

The netizen said that according to Lazada, this is the only way to get his money back.

He then reported the incident to the police.

A Singaporean man believed that love is giving everything he has. He said that he was playing an online game and fall in love with an Indonesian girl and said that he is truly in love and he will eventually marry her.

Here is the story:

I have a 27-year-old friend that is quite dumb and I have tried everything to help him. I am out of ideas and therefore posting my story here hoping that someone can offer some advice.

He met the girl online playing some mobile game and eventually they started chatting more and more and they met once in Batam. After meeting once he told me that the girl was willing to be his girlfriend, he told me that she would not even let him hold his hand. He eventually wipe out his savings and told my other friends and I that he could not afford to eat a simple dinner with us at a coffeeshop. He then told us the story about the girl. Till today he has only met her twice and they did not even hold hands and of course nothing more.

Everyone tried to stop him but he claims that the girl was in love with him and he believes her. Even his parents cant stop his foolishness. Some of my friends even suggested that he kana gong tao (black magic).
