37 Y.O MAN WHO ALLEGEDLY SLASHED STRAY CATS IN ANG MO KIO, ARRESTED

The National Parks Board (NParks) said in a statement that a 37-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a number of cat slashing cases in Ang Mo Kio since April, has been arrested on 8 June.

He was arrested on Tuesday morning, in an operation by the Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) and supported by the police.

He will be charged later today (9 June) with animal cruelty, which is an offence under the Animals and Birds Act.

More than 10 cats in Ang Mo Kio were found with slash wounds and the incidents occured around block 302, 316B, 335, 337, 3432 and 346.

Ms Jessica Kwok, the group director for AVS’ community animal engagement program, said that safeguarding animal welfare is a shared social responsibility.

She added:

“As with all investigations, all forms of evidence are critical to the process, and photographic and/or video-graphic evidence provided by the public will help.”

The public can report suspected cases of animal cruelty to AVS via the hotline 1800 476 1600.

GURMIT SINGH FINED & BANNED FROM DRIVING, APOLOGISES ON INSTAGRAM FOR SPEEDING

Following the news of his $800 fine and 3-months driving ban for speeding, actor and comedian Gurmit Singh (best known for portraying Phua Chu Kang) took to Instagram to issue an apology video.

In a short clip, Singh addressed the incident:

“Hi everyone, you may or may not have heard about the news but I just want to say I’m sorry, and I hope to do better. Take care.”

His apology seems to have been met with support from netizens.

Singh was caught speeding along Woodlands Avenue 12 on the evening of 12 April 2021, he was driving at 131km/h on a road with a speed limit of 70km/h.

Singh had just picked up his son from work when he noticed a “flapping sound”, and he wanted his son to hear the same sound, so he sped up hoping his son would hear it.

He was however scolded by District Judge Salina Ishak for putting his son’s life in danger.

YPS IN GROUP OF 3, PLAYING WITH FILLED CONDOM AT STAIRCASE

A video emerged online showing a group of YPs gathered in a group of 3.

One of them proudly boasted that he bought a packet of condoms (presumably a virgin) and giggled uncontrollably.

The group then filled the condom up with water and proceeded to play with it at the staircase.

HITCH DRIVER ASKS PASSENGER IF HE CAN TOUCH HER THIGH AND CHEST FOR $3K

A “Telehitch” passenger took to Instagram to share how she was allegedly harassed by a “chikopek” on a hitching platform called “Telehitch”.

She was booking a hitch ride and asked the driver if $7 was okay, to which the driver said $5 will do.

The girl then thanked him, to which the driver said it was only for “pretty people like you”.

He then added “haha you really hot la, just being honest.”

The driver then asked her if he can rest his hand on her thigh while driving, to which the girl replied “wtf no.”

The driver then told her that he could give her $300 in cash.

Again, the girl said no, and so the driver upped his price and offered her $500.

He said:

“what about 500? Just on your thigh. Will give you cash first thing we meet.”

The girl then rejected his car ride altogether.

But the driver still didn’t want to give up, continuing to call her.

He then offered her $2k, which then went up to $3k.

He asked her:

“What about I give you $3k include touching your chest, just 20-30 minutes. The ride end I stop”.

LARGE GROUP OF YPS SEEN RUNNING AWAY AFTER POLICE ARRIVED

A large group of YPs who were presumably gathering at a basketball court, were seen running away.

They were fleeing the scene upon learning about the arrival of police at the location.

A police car was seen parked nearby the basketball court.

A video emerged online showing a YP screaming gang poem inside a lift.

It isn’t exactly audibly decipherable due to him screaming but what we could make out was “salakkau”.

YPS FIGHTING AT VOID DECK, GUY DOWN ON THE GROUND BUT STILL KENA HOOT

A video emerged online showing a group of YPs fighting at a void deck.

It is unclear what they were fighting over, but a “referee” was present at the fight.

One of the guys was beaten to the ground already but the other guy still continued to rain blows on him.

The referee shouted “time out” but the guy ignored him, continuing to rain punches on the other guy’s head.

WOMAN SCOLDING OLD AH MA: “YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO WALK PROPERLY? ALMOST BANG PPL”

An old woman was seen being berated by a woman outside what appears to be a shopping mall.

The woman was scolding the ah ma in Hokkien, for allegedly knocking “almost knocking into her.”

She was purportedly saying: “You don’t know how to walk properly? Almost knock into people.”

The old woman was seen looking down at the ground, looking very sad as the woman told her off.

It was alleged that others confronted the younger woman but she told them off as well.

86 Y.O WOMAN IS S’PORE 34th DEATH CASE DUE TO COVID-19 COMPLICATIONS

Earlier today(June 8), the Ministry of Health(MOH) announced that the 34th death case is from complications due to Covid-19.

The female Singaporean is case number 62680 and she is at the age of 86.

She was tested positive for Covid-19 on the 30th April 2021 and she was warded at Khoo Teck Puat hospital for an unrelated medical condition

She has not been vaccinated and she has a medical history of diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidaemia, hypertension and hypothyroidism.

38 Y.O FOUND DEAD AT FOOT OF MARINE PARADE CONDOMINIUM

A police tentage was spotted at the foot of a condominium block located in Marine Parade (Laguna Park) yesterday(June 7 morning). It is believed that the deceased is a 38-year-old woman.

The Police also said that they were alerted to the incident at around 7.05AM and called to assist at the location of Block 5000C Marine Parade Road.

The woman was found lying motionless and was pronounced dead at the scene by the paramedics.

Police investigations are ongoing.
