He eventually accepted me back into his life and we were in the process of recovering from this cheating. I know I’ve hurt him as he is very sensitive and overthinks a lot.

But I was caught lying about the details of the cheating during our recovery period.

I was lying about the details so he would not leave me. He feels that he is being betrayed and is breaking up with me.

My intentions are good. I lie so he would not feel disgust. I’ve been working on myself and our relationship, ever since I am caught.

MOH: NO MORE DAILY PRESS RELEASES ABOUT COVID-19 NUMBERS FROM 7 DEC

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said on 6 December that they will stop issuing daily releases on Covid-19 infection statistics from 7 December onwards.

The daily updates will be provided on MOH’s website instead, where the public can access the information such as hospital capacity, infected patients’ statuses, the progress of vaccination, and the number of cases.

MOH said that they will continue to use the week-on-week infection growth ratio as an indicator of the virus growth speed in the community.

If the aforementioned ratio rises very quickly above 1 on a sustained basis, it would indicate that infection is spreading at a faster rate and potentially the start of a new wave.

At the moment, the present wave is subsiding and infection numbers are stabilizing, MOH said that we can expect the ratio to trend towards 1.

MOH will continue on their updates to the public on significant developments and information that includes the Omicron variant through the regular media statements.

THAILAND DETECTED 1ST CASE OF OMICRON COVID-19 CASE

Thailand reports the first case of the Omicron Covid-19 variant on arrival from Spain.

Bangkok Post reported that the man is a 35-year-old U.S citizen who arrived in the kingdom from Spain via the United Arab Emirates.

The man arrived in Thailand on November 29.

Thailand Health authorities are currently conducting tracing and finding out who and where the man has been to.

The man had only received 1 dose of the vaccine and he was found to be in contact with multiple airport staff and 17 hotel staff.

Although Thailand has banned entry from Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe due to the Omicron variant.

It is still evident that the variant has spread across the world.

Thailand is the 47th country to detect the variant, blocking individual countries does not seem to be a very effective counter measurement against the new variant.

To date, Thailand has more than 2 million confirmed cases but experts believed that the number could be higher due to rural areas and those who are not displaying any symptoms.

Singapore – We all have our fair share of neighbors that behave like they own the whole HDB block. A man recently posted on social media to highlight the problem.

Facebook user Les Littleyellow posted on Facebook to share how his neighbors would often do some washing at the Balcony area and let water drip downstairs near the laundry area.

This is the same as those who hang wet clothes that are still dripping wet outside the window.

“Whoever live in West Plain Block 467C, unit xx-559 and find out your laundry never dry, this is why…”

West Plain is an HDB estate located in Bukit Batok.

The man attached a video in a Facebook post, with a woman carrying a pot of water and sounds of water pouring down could be heard.

Netizens who saw the video commented and said that they face similar situations in their units

“It’s very common with such problems if you are staying in HDB flats. Complain also no use. Just have to bear with it. My top unit crazy woman every day will pour a big pail of water out from the kitchen window. All my clothes wet. I complained until siah liao. TC said they will advise the woman. But nothing improve till today.”

It seems that this is a very common issue in HDB estates and there should be penalties for such inconsiderate people

My girlfriend comes from a wealthy background and grew up with maids, chefs, chauffeurs etc. I was raised in a completely opposite environment and still adjusting to dating someone like her.

When we’re not with her parents, we spent a lot of time at one of her apartments. Here’s the issue: my GF likes to walk around home barely wearing anything which is fine (awesome even) BUT she does this even when the ‘help’ is around.

For example last month her family hired a new driver for her. He stopped by the apartment to introduce himself. She was only wearing underwear. Keep in mind, this is the FIRST time they’ve met in person. I felt awkward, he was visibly awkward and she didn’t give a shit at all. She was casually chatting to him while scrolling away on her phone.

She does this all the time. She doesn’t think she needs to wear any decent amount of clothes at all when people that work for her are around. She will casually walk around wearing just a thong OR a tiny crop top (just a crop top, nothing else).

She even does this with complete strangers! One time she opened the door for the delivery guy wearing only a see-through gown. You could see everything. Afterward, I talked to her about it and she was utterly confused as to why I felt uncomfortable. Then she laughed and told me to “stop being a jealous baby”. She even said that I’m unreasonable.

We had another discussion about this yesterday and I told her that she probably wouldn’t feel comfortable if I did the same. She said that she doesn’t understand why I care what her staff thinks and that it never even crossed her mind that this is inappropriate. She told me that she only does this in the comfort of her home and not in front of“actual people” i.e. people that don’t work for her.

She got kinda mad at me and vented to her friends. According to all of them, I’m “weird” for having a problem with this and an a-hole for telling my GF to cover up.

Somehow I’m the villain of this story. Am I really wrong?

A video emerged online showing a freak accident that happened on the road, along Lornie Highway.

A car was seen travelling on the road behind a van when all of a sudden, a huge sheet flew out from under the van.

The sheet then flew towards and hit the car behind, causing damages to the car.

The camcar driver later took photos of his car to show the damages done to his/her vehicle – the headlights of the car was seen broken and cracked.

Aside from the broken headlights, the camcar also suffered very bad scratches as well.

The incident happened on 2 December, along Lornie Highway.

A video emerged online showing the aftermath of a traffic accident that happened at Geylang, presumably at Geylang Lorong 13.

As a result of the accident, a “Geylang Lorong 13” street sign was seen on the floor, with the pole holding up the sign knocked down as well.

The license plate of the car was also seen lying on the floor, although the car was nowhere to be seen in the video.

The affected area was seen in the video cordoned off from the public with police tape.

A small crowd had gathered to watch the commotion as police cars and police motorcycles were also seen at the scene with their lights flashing.

A netizen shared how he is in his mid 40s, single and not ready to mingle, who worked really hard during his younger days and was very prudent with his spending.

He had a friend that he knew since he was a kid, who spent money freely and splurges on his then-girlfriend, reasoning that “money can always be earned back”.

That friend is now jobless and struggling financially, and he is now seeking help from the netizen to tide over.

Here is the story:

“TLDR why am I expected to pay for someone else’s own life decision?

For context, I am in my mid-40s, single with no plans on entering any relationship. I chiong a lot during my younger days, with very prudent spending and have reached the stage whereby I have my own house, can survive on the passive income from my early investments and am basically retired now.

There is this guy, whom I knew when I was still a kid. Our parents knew each other and meet up sometimes. Apart from the meetups that occur because of our parents, I don’t interact much with him so I wouldn’t consider us to be close friends.

During one of the meetups when I was around my mid-20s, there was casual chat and my parents brought up how much I don’t like to spend money as if I was torturing myself. I just brushed it off but later, this guy came up to ask me the same thing when we split off with our parents (as they wanted to look at some stuff in the mall that we children aren’t interested in).

“Money can always be earned back”

I explained to him how I just wanted to spend less now so I can work less in the future, and also told him that maybe he should control his spending, especially seeing how much he splurge on his then-girlfriend.

He just gave me the response “money can always be earned back”. I just moved on since that was his choice and who am I to interfere with it.

Now no money, no job

Over the years, he’s been doing the same, splurging on his family without a care in the world, until the pandemic happened. He lost his job and is now struggling financially. He asked me for help, saying that I have extra money that I do not need and that I can always work again after the pandemic to top up my own fund.

I rejected, saying that he has to be accountable for his own life decisions. Somehow my parents caught wind of this and chastised me for not helping since even without working, I can still afford to spend on leisure.

Is it reasonable to expect me to dig into my own funds and interrupt the lifestyle which I have planned to enjoy over many years to help someone who has never invested or contributed to the success of my current lifestyle?”

YP GIVEN PROBATION FOR GANGING UP TO ATTACK 14 Y.O BOY AT YOUTH HOME & DRUG OFFENCES

A 19-year-old teenager pleaded guilty to two counts of assault as well as three drug-related charges and was sentenced on 6 December to 21 months probation.

He is also required to stay indoors from 10pm to 6am every day, on top of 60 hours of community service.

He had attacked a 14-year-old boy with his twin brother and 2 other assailants at a youth home in 2018 before committing drug offences the next year.

His twin brother was sentenced to 15 months probation on 29 November.

What happened?

The twins and 2 other youths confronted the victim, who was in his room at the home at around 10pm in October 2019.

They then rained blows on his head because they felt that he was arrogant.

The victim kept mum about the attack and didn’t seek medical attention after the attack, and the quartet then targeted him again the next month.

They told him to lie down on the bed and used a metal rod to hit his backside four times before leaving.

The victim then told a friend about it and the police were informed about a social worker at the home found out about the incidents.

MEN ALLEGEDLY TRIED TO CHEAT NTUC FOR COVID-19 GRANTS, CHARGED IN COURT

Two 23-year-old and 24-year-old men were charged in court on 6 December with cheating, for allegedly submitting fraudulent applications for government monetary assistance for Covid-19.

The two had allegedly submitted fake applications to NTUC in July last year to claim monetary support under the Self Employed Persons Income Relief Scheme.

They each received $3,000 and $6,000 from NTUC as a result of their cheating.

SIRS

The Self Employed Persons Income Relief Scheme (SIRS) scheme was introduced in March last year by MOM to help self-employed persons tide over the pandemic.

Applications have been closed since last year.

Upon conviction, the two men face a jail term or up to 10 years and a fine.
