After the ban of PMD on the footpath, there have been multiple disputes of PMD riders versus pedestrians on the footpath that are reported in media.

A man who gave Prime Minister’s Lee Hsien Loong’s son a ride at Esplanade taxi stand ended up with an 8-month driving ban and a fine of $900.
The incident happened back in March, 32-year-old man Andrew Sim Kay Yong saw the PM Lee’s son at a taxi stand and offered him a ride home.
Initially, he declined Sim’s offer but eventually step into his vehicle.
While he was in the vehicle, Sim used his mobile phone to take 4 videos of PM Lee’s son while driving on the road. PM Lee’s son did not agree to let him take the videos.
All 4 videos lasted less than a minute. The video soon got spread online and went viral.
The phrase from friends to lovers, from lovers to enemies is a prime example here.
23-year-old Jamie Chen Xin Yi was sentenced to 4 months jail after slashing her married lover with a penknife leaving a 22cm wound that required 29 stitches.
The incident happened back on 17 September 2017, Randy Lee Teck Choon, the 42-year-old victim refused to follow the Jamie on a trip to China. The flight to China was due on the 18th of September 2019.
A day before the trip, Randy told Jamie that he will not be going as he is low on cash and an argument soon started. They were on the road in a vehicle when the argument started. Randy drove Jamie to Woodlands Avenue 6 Blk 759, she scratched his car with a penknife and later slashed him on the chest.
The two had an affair that lasted around two years, during the two year period, Jamie harrassed Randy’s wife in a bid to force the wife to leave Randy by divorcing. The married couple has since filed for divorce.
She filed an appeal against her 4-month-old sentence after failing to get a probation sentence.

A couple was standing at a bus stop and waiting for a public bus to come. A PMD rider who is believed to be paranoid approaches the couple and claims that they were staring at him.
“The way you stare at me like one kind, I know the regulation about this pavement.”
This PMD rider is wrong to confront and harass the couple in the bus stop, the couple did not make any comments and the PMD claims the couple was staring at him that made him unhappy.
“You want to call Police?”
The man that was confronted by the PMD is obviously unhappy about the PMD rider accusing him.
Luckily the man was calm and explained himself. The way the PMD talks sounds like his either too stress and is in need of medical care.

During the release of the PSLE results, parents should not be too harsh on their child even if the results are not up to your expectations. Even if your child has a top grade, you should not “over-praise” your child. Why? Don’t pump negative feelings or ego into your child, nothing good will come out if it.
Too many negative actions or comments on the child will affect a child’s development and self-confidence over time. When your child is not doing really well, give them encouragement and tell them to work harder in the future.
Praising is good but too much praise will result in the child being overconfident in the future and pumping into their ego and might affect the child’s social skill development. A study in 2015 by Ohio State University states that too much praise turns a child into Narcissist.
We only hope for the best in the children’s future, please do not pressure your children before any tragedy happens, whenever there is a major result release, both children and parents are pressured. Children under pressure might lead to children doing stupid things.
Stay calm and be an understanding and supportive parents.
