It has been reported that the fare for both MRT and Bus will be increase by 7 cents. This is equivalent to 9 cents for adult travelers who used travel cards.

Paying cash on bus will result in even higher fares of 20 cents per trip! Concession groups for students, senior and so on will also face an increase in the fare.

The cause of the raise was due to the growing rise of energy price and manpower salary.

38-year-old Lee Si Hong was caught on the 19 September for pimping out Thai sex workers and handling brothels.

According to reports there were at least 9 workers and three brothels. He advertised his services in Sammyboy Forum under the name of “BangkokGem”.

He would also get photos of the girls from the girls and even brief the girls instructions for their work. The photos would be used to post in Sammyboy.

He claims that he has a boss in Thailand and his job was to bring in and make travel arrangements for the girls to come Singapore.

The prosecution wants a 2 year jail and a fine of $56,000.

His defence lawyer is asking for 18 months and claims that he is unable to pay the fine.

According to media reports, a 32-year-old Central Narcotics Bureau officer was charged after extorting to assaulting a man for the drugs found in his belongings.

32-years-old CNB officer Vengedesh Raj Nainar Nagarajan was accused of attacking his victims via slapping, kicking and even resorted to punching.

Reports mentioned that the incident happened in a toilet located at Woodlands Checkpoint, The incident happened from 5.58am to 9.30am on the 2nd of Jan 2017. Vengedesh attacked the victim forcing him to confess to the drugs found on him.

if convicted ,He is looking to face up to seven years in jail .

According to media reports, a female teacher was sentenced to jail after her relationship with a 15 Y.O student was discovered.

The relationship between the both of them lasted for about 9 months and they did entered “the forbidden garden” at a Geylang hotel.

She was sentenced to a total of 33 months jail.

Breakdown:

24 months for sex with a minor

9 months for committing obscene acts with juvenile.

The female was the boys math teacher, to get the story straight to the point. The teacher had an impression that the boy hated her, after a trip of scaling a hill with the boy.

She found out that the boy did not hate her, subsequently the teacher admitted her feelings for him and they texted each other with explicit messages.

How The Teacher Got Caught By The Mother Of The Boy:

The mother found out about this after checking the boys room and discovered belongings of the teacher in his room. The boy also asked if his mother would allowed him to marry someone that is more than 11 years old older.

The mother later notified the school and the incident came to light

According to media reports, a 31-year-old woman was arrested after she was suspected of locking up a residential unit local at Jurong West Street 32 on the 23rd of Sept 2019.

The residential unit was locked up with a bicycle lock. The police believes that this was a case of loanshark harassment.

In Singapore, camera are everywhere.

The police investigated in the incident with the help of Police camera and enquiries. The suspected was identified and arrested 8 days later at Havlock Square.

The police later found out that the woman was also involved with other similar cases island wide. If convicted the woman the woman will be facing at least $5000 fine and up to $50,000 along with mandatory jail time of up to 5 years.

The police also advice members of the public to stay away from loansharks.

Mostly, residential areas including of HDB and condominiums. In the reports, Police emphasize that HDB flats is meant for residential purpose and is strictly prohibited for the use of vice. Flat owners who used their homes to use in prosituttion acitvited are liable to fine and or jail term of up to three years as well.

Singapore Polytechnic student, Shuang Ng Wei Xuan was caught after taking numerous upskirt photos. One of his targets was a 17-year-old girl in Hougang mall.

He squatted near the victim and pointed his phone towards the girl, A witness on the scene confronted him and wanted to see his phone, but Ng wanted to leave the scene. He was subsquently stoped and detained by the witness.

Over the course of six weeks he took upskirt photos of women on 99 occasions. A total of 243 photo was found on his phone. His crime was committed mostly in common areas such as escalators and on public transports.

According to media reports, the Ng stated that taking upskirt photos of women “aroused him”.

If convicted he will face jail time of up to one year and/or fine.
