I think we all deserves an explanation on what these items are.
More of these boxes can be found around Singapore. The cameras are pointing towards the HDB units. Is this the device that they mention to catch those smoking at home?
Hey guys. Please take the time to read up and share with your loved ones and inform them about what I’m about to tell you. A Malaysian official tore up my passport, denied me entry unless I paid him some kopi money.
Around 1130pm last night at malaysia custom(ciq) after secondlink checkpoint, I was stopped by the officer in the counter. He questioned why I had MACS on my passport and what am I doing entering Malaysia at this timing. I told him I was otw home, my Wife was waiting for me. He then said, “Oh, you have to uturn back to Singapore because your passport is torn. Unless you’re Malaysian, i can’t allow you to pass through but right now that passport is torn and it is illegal.”
I was shocked because I know my passport was perfectly fine, I had to use it everyday and even a few minutes before giving the officer, i had to scan my passport in SG custom. It was perfectly fine, no tear no bend no scuffs.
I then told him I wanted to see a supervisor or a manager or his team leader but he refused. He told me to park my bike at the side and follow him to a corner.
Then this conversation began,
“Bro, i can help you pass through and let you see your wife but if I help you, you need to help me too”
Sensing as to where this is going, I asked, “what do you need me to help you with?”
“Ouh, like this also need me to spell it out and teach you?”
“Oh so u want money? Money in your pocket will let me through?”
“Ahh smart boy”
I immediately told him, “tell you what, i will take back the passport u tore and I will go back to Singapore”.
Man, all he did was smiled and told me to make a new passport before I can go back home.
Went down to ICA at tuas and was told to make a police report. Was told I wasn’t the first guy who experienced this and I hope by you reading this, I am the last. If you do have experienced the same, please report it as well. Both to Singapore and Malaysia police.
Officer will tear up your passport slyly, deny you access unless you pay them up.
What started as prolonged inconsiderate complaints from the neighbour to multiple visits by a variety of government agencies officials, we received a letter today, to attend a conference from community and tribunals division.
All because of a smell / smoke that a neighbour insists, permeates from my aunt’s flat, for the past two years, due to the smoke from our prayers burning incense sticks and cones and have ruined the family’s peace and well being. Like any other Hindu family, we pray twice a day, morning and evening, burn one incense stick and a cone which we have to stop altogether cause it will become a fire hazard to the neighbour and concerned about the Long-term health condition of the family.
The continuous visits and letters led to constant stress has taken a toll on the family ( my Aunty, her two kids in their teens and my grandma) who are still grieving over the loss of my Uncle (aunty’s husband) who passed away last year Oct.
The situation was especially difficult two years ago after my uncle was diagnosed with cancer and my Aunty was then already struggling with her husband’s cancer.
She had to rush from work to the hospital where my uncle was receiving treatment. And then rush home because my panicked grandma would say there are some officers at the flat. She doesn’t understand Nor speak English, only Tamil or Malay language.
My Aunty is a nurse for over 15 years won’t be burning anything that will cause any health issues to the family. The neighbour adds they are fearful of meeting us face to face for mediation due to the safety of their family. We are talking abt a grieving wife, elderly woman in her 80s and two teenage kids, whom they fear for. They have taken pics of our home without our knowledge, saying it looks like the house is on fire. The pics shows nothing!
And no, we don’t do any burning of incense sticks at night Nor prayers, except that one time last Nov, we had to do prayers for my late Uncle (Hindu rituals). Give us a break already, pls.. we have even stopped using incense cones for the toilets for fragrance, burn incense stick now once a day, wants us to stop burning altogether. We have done nothing wrong except pray, we do burn incense sticks which last 30-40mins but there is nothing illegal about doing all of that. If it is, then so are the toxic fumes from vehicles that gets into your lungs daily.
We were taught how to be tolerant towards our neighbours, fellow Singaporeans, different races, cultures and appreciate the different diversity we are being exposed to.
It’s been a very difficult year, please leave us alone, leave us in peace 😢
If anyone ever needs to engage an event planner, I’m afraid it must NEVER EVER be Enjoue.
Their social media is a misrepresentation of what they do for customers, in this case, me in real life. Unless you’re an influencer, otherwise, please do not, i repeat, DO NOT ever engage Enjoué Events Sg. But even if you are an influencer, for the sake of everyone, please do not work with scammers like them. You will only make (stupid) people like me fall into their traps and lose your hard earned credibility!
Also, be warned, they go MIA right after payment is made even if you keep hounding them. When things go wrong, they blame it back on you.
Thanks to them, my baby girl’s first ever party is ruined and the entire experience was a complete disaster. For those who specialise in events and services, you’ll know how important customer experience and satisfaction is. In my case, I was fuming with anger and utter disappointment.
I seek your help in finding my Father, Syed Ayoub Alsagoff. My dad was last seen in North Bridge Road last Friday, 21/09/2018 wearing the same exact pole tee he is wearing in this photo with brown pants.
We have already make a police report and they have checked all Hospitals and his name is not in any one of their records. His ez link was also not in use since last Friday. If you have any information or have seen him loitering kindly call Sharrifah at 87487810 or please please bring him to the nearby police station.
A car was found engulfed in flames this morning (25/09/2018) along River Valley Road.
This is not your usual commute to work. A car was found in flames along River Valley Road. Thankfully, the SCDF managed to put out the fire in time, with only the front portion of the car damaged.

Those of you who have lined up during the peak hours know the amount of patience when in line.
Unfortunately, there was a case of accusing one another of cutting queue. We understand as the queue is painfully long and the customs are slow in the vetting process (due to security reasons of course). But we feel that the patience of this lady has been tripped.
It all started with a foreign looking machine placed within a HDB block.
A man claims he got fined for smoking near his room window and NEA simply slipped the letter through the front door with a photo evidence. We are unable to comment if the above statement is true but if this is the case, it seems that you can only smoke with the windows closed in the future.
Do you guys think this is the way to regulate ‘inconsiderate smoking?’
