Today, 17/5/2017 around 4-5 pm. I was at Ayer Rajah Food Center and was supposed to help my sister buy drinks at the 7/11 store beside the hawker center.
My sister wanted to get a slurpee but unfortunately it was unavailable and she wanted to put the cup back but it dropped on the floor.
Moments after, the cashier came by muttered something in her dialect and proceed to throw the cup away.
She then confronted me about that and ask whether i was educated or not.
Confused and lost to why she brought that up, i answered yes. She then ask whether i was chinese or malay to which i replied malay(My skin colour is fair so people often confuse me for chinese.)
And then said the following. “You pick the cup and then throw lah. You got learn at school right??”
The moment she said that, i was lost for words and was wondering why she even asked about my race and whether i was educated.
I’m really upset about this event and hope that 7/11 will take action.
