EMPLOYER: FRESH GRADS WANT HIGH SALARY & WORK-LIFE BALANCE, ASKING FOR TOO MUCH

My experience with fresh graduates has been a mixed bag. On one hand, I have seen some who are highly motivated and bring a lot of enthusiasm to the workplace.

On the other hand, I have seen some who come in with a sense of entitlement and the expectation of having all their demands met.

I have come to the conclusion that many fresh graduates nowadays have a “me first” mentality and are asking for too much from employers.

They want high salaries, flexible schedules and a good work-life balance.

While I understand that fresh graduates should be paid a fair wage, I don’t think they should be asking for more than is reasonable.

I recently interviewed a young man for an entry-level position at my company. He had the necessary qualifications, but what struck me was his demands.

He wanted a high salary, flexible work hours and the ability to work from home. He also wanted to be able to take plenty of holidays and have the option to take days off whenever he wanted.

Needless to say, I was not impressed. I explained to him that while I wanted to give him a fair wage, I could not meet all his demands. He seemed to understand, but it was clear that he was disappointed.

This experience has made me realize that fresh graduates all want too much these days.

They expect employers to bend over backwards to meet their every demand and provide them with the best possible work conditions. I believe that this is an unrealistic expectation.

Employers need to stand firm and set boundaries with fresh graduates.

They should be willing to negotiate salaries, but they should also make sure that fresh graduates understand that they cannot have everything they want.

It is important to remember that employers and fresh graduates have mutual responsibilities and that they should both be respectful of each other’s needs.

Fresh graduates should be realistic in their demands, and employers should be willing to compromise and negotiate.

Unfortunately, in my experience, this is not always the case. Fresh graduates often come in expecting too much and employers are sometimes too quick to give in to their demands.

This is a dangerous cycle and it needs to be broken.

It is clear that fresh graduates today are asking for too much.

While I understand their desire to have a good work-life balance and be paid a fair wage, employers should not be expected to bend over backward to meet their every demand.

Employers and fresh graduates need to work together to come to a mutually beneficial agreement.
