A 44-year-old woman tragically lost her life after she was reportedly thrown from a moving van on the Shah Alam Expressway in Malaysia on May 6, 2025. The incident occurred near the Awan Besar rest area, as the vehicle was heading towards Petaling Jaya, Selangor, around 3 PM.

Initial Reports and Eyewitness Accounts

Initially, it was believed that the woman had succumbed to injuries from a hit-and-run accident. However, eyewitness accounts suggest otherwise. A motorist who witnessed the event stated that the woman was still alive when he approached her. He observed her lifting her head slightly and noted that she was breathing, albeit not speaking. The woman was reportedly groaning and covered in blood at the time.

Emergency services instructed the eyewitness to perform CPR while they rushed to the scene. Unfortunately, despite the efforts, the woman was pronounced dead shortly after medical personnel arrived.

Investigation Underway

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident to determine if foul play was involved. The woman’s husband has been taken into custody as part of the investigation. Reports indicate that the woman, who is believed to be of Chinese descent and originally from Ipoh, Perak, was seen falling or being thrown from the van before it sped away.

Clarification on Identity

In a related development, Malaysian police have confirmed that the deceased woman is not Pamela Ling Yueh, a 42-year-old who has been missing since April 9, 2025. Ling was allegedly abducted while en route to provide a statement to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission regarding a money-laundering investigation. Ling’s case has drawn significant attention, as she is the wife of a businessman implicated in the investigation.

Ling had been living in Singapore since 2008, where she operated a property management company, and was brought back to Malaysia earlier this year to assist with the ongoing investigations.
