Conversation between customer and restaurant owner
Scenario: Customer came to settle the bill and lamented that the dinner was expensive.
Owner: Look at your order, 9 people eat RM148 is reasonable.
Customer: Only a few dishes but so expensive.
The owner also stated that their profit margin is less than 30 percent, why do people still think its expensive.
He added that nowadays with RM150 there is not much food one can get from the markets and there are still costs incurred from preparing the dishes for the customers.
No change in prices over the years
The owner also said that prices have been kept the same over the years apart from their fried chilli which only increased by RM2.
This is done so that the older customers do not feel alienated, and that the restaurant has a 22 year history in this line serving both local and foreign customers.
