The singer stopped short of addressing the numerous allegations against him, and cited a rise in the number of Covid cases as the reason instead.

Show cancelled due to “Covid cases”

He said via an update on his Instagram Story in Mandarin:

“Due to an increase in the number of Covid cases recently, as well as the people around me testing positive, I have discussed with my team and we have decided to cancel tonight’s busking session for the safety of everyone.”

“I was really looking forward to everyone joining me in singing but these are trying times, I hope everyone takes priority in their safety and takes care of themselves.”
