MAN REJECTS JOB OFFER AS HE IS TOLD TO ASK HIS FRIENDS TO BUY “HEALTH PRODUCTS”

0

It was a typical Monday morning when I was checking my emails and saw that I had one from a potential employer. After months of searching and applying, I was finally being offered an opportunity to work with a very big company. I was thrilled and couldn’t wait to accept the offer, until I read the fine print.

The company was offering me the job of a “Health Products Consultant”. I was expected to promote their “health products” and get my friends, colleagues and family to buy them. This was a huge red flag for me and I knew I couldn’t accept the offer.

No matter how much I wanted the job and the salary, I knew I could never bring myself to ask my friends and family to buy something I wasn’t sure about.

I had no clue about the company’s products or the quality of them. I had no idea what kind of ingredients were used and if the products were safe to consume.

Not only that, but I was also uncomfortable with the idea of promoting and marketing a product to people I knew. I didn’t want to be the one responsible for convincing people to buy something that they may not even need or want.

I felt like I was in a difficult situation. On one hand, I was being offered a great job opportunity and a good salary. But on the other hand, I wasn’t comfortable with the idea of promoting the company’s products to my friends and family.

So, I decided to reject the job offer. I sent an email to the company explaining my reservations and thanking them for considering me for the position. I was honest and polite in my response, but I also made sure to make it clear that I couldn’t accept the offer.

I know that I would never be able to look myself in the mirror if I had agreed to the job and asked my friends and family to buy something I wasn’t sure about.

They send me another email

They started to explain that it is a lucrative job and told me to think twice saying that the boss is driving a Mercedes and has an extra BMW at home.

It started to sound more and more like a scam.

PHV DRIVER SHOW OFF $17K/MTH INCOME, MAN SAYS HE’S “RICH WITH ONLY MONEY”, NOTHING TO ENVY

0

A Facebook user shared how he boarded a Gojek car and had a chat with the driver during his ride, during which the driver told him that he makes $17k per month.

Netizens were quick to express their envy, except for one netizen who listed down the reasons why there was nothing to be envious of.

Here is what he said

Let’s be fair, is it possible? Yes, but it comes as a tons of reasons, driving a excessive inhumane 16-18hours, no commitments, no family (or no time for family) no friends, deprivation of sleep, endangering basically everyone on the road, innocent road users and risking your pax life.

Simply said, a road menace that risk killing innocent life, life is so much more than just driving like a dog and still being proud of that.

Look at all the traffic accident, it is almost like by default that phv must be involved in every single crash.

Anyone of us here can do that do, driving for non stop for 16- 18 hours daily. But being a responsible road users, a responsible father, a child, we know better.

So there isn’t anything worth being envy of.

One friend of mine, works as a FL chicken, earning $900 to $1500 per day, and nett more then 20k monthly, is there any thing worth to be proud of the earnings?

Money should never be a gauge of how rich a person is, I am rich because I am blessed to be able to spend time with my mother, bringing her for her medical check up, for dinner, bringing my child to his fav playground, celebrating festival with my wife.

But some people are rich with only money.

GIRL WEARS SCANTILY TO HER JOB INTERVIEW, MANAGES TO LAND THE JOB

0

I had been searching for a job for months and I was getting extremely frustrated. I got a uni degree, experience, and references, but I still wasn’t having any luck.

I was feeling desperate and I wasn’t sure what I could do to improve my chances of getting a job.

Friend suggested that I ‘bare’ it all for my interview

Then, a friend suggested that I should wear something attractive to my next job interview. She said that if I wore something that showed off my figure, the employer might be more likely to hire me.

I was hesitant at first, but I decided to give it a try.

So, on the day of my next job interview, I put on my most revealing outfit. I wore a tight, low-cut dress that showed off my curves and a pair of high heels.

I felt confident and attractive as I walked into the office.

When I arrived, I was happy to see that the boss was a man. I was even more happy when he started to openly admire my body. He couldn’t take his eyes off me and he kept complimenting me on my looks.

I was embarrassed, but I kept my composure and tried to focus on the interview.

Luckily, the boss didn’t ask me any difficult questions and he seemed to be more interested in my body than my qualifications.

Got the job on the spot

After the interview was over, he offered me the job on the spot and said that he wanted to see me again.

I was so relieved. I couldn’t believe that I had managed to land a job just by showing off my body.

I was happy to have a job, but I was also a little worried that the boss would expect something from me in return for hiring me.

SG WIFE BRINGS HER “SISTERS” TO FIND HOMEWRECKER GIRL AT JOO CHIAT

0

We had been married for 8 years and had a comfortable life together. We had been married for so long that I was beginning to think that our relationship was beginning to become stale.

We had been to the same restaurants, seen the same movies, and had the same conversations. I was beginning to think that I needed something new to spice up our marriage.

Little did I know that my husband had something else in mind for our night out. He went Joo Chiat area, a popular spot for uncles to hang out, when my husband said that he was going to that area for a drink. I was surprised and a bit apprehensive.

Wechat chat log

A month later… I notice that my husband was texting this girl on her Wechat and I immediately suspected that it was a girl he met drinking his drinking sessions at Joo Chiat. While he was in the toilet, I unlocked his phone and the girl send him a voice record telling him to leave me!

But my husband responded to her and said “No”. Which made me a little relive. But I still feel that I have to do something. I took a photo of the girl’s photo from her WeChat profile picture and send it to my friends.

I asked a few good sisters of mine and tried to find the girl and tell her to stay away from my husband.

When we arrived at Joo Chiat, we had no idea which bar to go into and I called my brother. He told me it’s either “here or there”.

We found the girl at the first bar we went into and immediately sat down and ordered a jug of beer.

We told the girl to come over and she spoke in Mandarin with a funny accent. I revealed who I was and told her to back off.

She looked a bit scared as my sister was talking in a threatening tone. After we told her off and finished our beer we went home.

My husband was waiting for me in the living room and started to argue with me, The Vietnamese girl had texted him what I had done. He said my actions were overbroad and he had no intention of having any relationships with the girl.

I then accused him if he did not have any intentions why he took the girl’s contact. He started saying “It was their job to do this blah blah”.

I told him there is always a choice to say NO! He diam diam. Our relationship has not been the same ever since. Infact it has gotten worse.

I don’t know what to do…

PRC MEN MODELS LINGERIE ON LIVESTREAMS AFTER CHINA BANNED WOMEN FROM DOING IT

0

China is home to a burgeoning livestream shopping industry, with more than SGD$956 billion and contributing about 10% of China’s e-commerce revenue.

But China had also reportedly banned women from modelling lingerie as part of their escalating censorship laws aimed at preventing the spread of “obscene” material online.

As a result, livestreamers in China have turned to some rather unorthodox methods to model and sell their lingerie products.

They turned to male models instead, to model female lingerie.

One livestreamer replaced their female model with a man in December last year, in keeping up with the law, with many other livestreamers soon following suit.

Speaking to Jiupai News, one live stream business owner, Xu, said that they don’t really have a choice because their products can’t be modelled by their female colleagues, so they used their male colleagues instead.

Business Insider reported that livestreams in China that feature female models donning lingerie have had a history of being promptly shut down and banned.

Reuters reported that it was part of China’s campaign of “cleansing” the media of influencers and entertainers that were perceived as “polluting” the minds of their society.

Idols that were deemed “effeminate” and had “incorrect political positions” were also frozen out of the public eye.

MIGRANT WORKERS LIFTED CAR TO SAVE 15 Y.O GIRL WHO WAS TRAPPED AFTER YISHUN ACCIDENT

A group of migrant workers banded together to save the life of a girl who was trapped under a car following an accident in Yishun, by lifting up the vehicle and pulling the girl to safety.

According to The Straits Times yesterday (4 March); the mother of the girl, 41-year-old Lim Xiaoli, recalled the horrifying experience which took place in November last year, saying that her family was walking home from Junction 9 after having lunch.

They had left the mall separately and Lim was making her way back when she saw an accident that involved 2 cars, a motorcycle and 2 pedestrians at a carpark.

The woman then saw her elder sister, who was carrying her 4-month-old baby, shouting at her to get her attention, before she rushed over and realised that the victims of the accident were her 64-year-old mother and her 15-year-old daughter.

Her elderly mother had suffered an injury to her head but was conscious, while her daughter had just been rescued from under one of the cars.

She was told that her daughter was trapped under the car and might have died.

Her mother was sent to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital while her daughter was sent to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where they have since recovered – although her mother is still feeling pain in her limbs.

At the time of writing, police investigations into the incident are still ongoing.

ST reported that Lim is still in the midst of seeking compensation from the driver, a 31-year-old pregnant woman.

Migrant workers who saved the girl identified

Lim went to Nee Soon GRC MP Louis Ng for help to look for the workers who saved her daughter’s life – they had lifted the car to free the trapped girl.

They later managed to meet 4 of the heroes; Mr Md Abuhaiat Nurnobi, Mr Miah Eadhu, Mr Alam Jahangir and Mr Molla Mohammad Sayem, and they thanked them personally.

Two other workers, Mr Belal Md Shababuddin and Mr Khobir, didn’t come down for the meet but each received a gift to thank them.

Bangladeshi migrant worker Nurnobi, who has been working in Singapore for about 5 years, said that they were performing some horticulture maintenance at the carpark when they witnessed the accident.

He said that a car was driving very fast at the time and crashed into 2 people, resulting in a lot of blood with one of the victims being stuck under the car.

He added that they didn’t think too much and hurried over to lift up the car to rescue the girl, because they were afraid she might die.

MP Louis Ng’s Facebook post

[ Our very kind migrant workers ]

MAN SAYS IF SG IS NOT SO HOT, MOST DATES WILL ACCEPT EATING AT A KOPITIAM

0

Singaporeans have always been a bit picky about where to go for meals. We’ve been known to gravitate towards finer establishments, whether it’s a restaurant or a cafe, in order to impress our dates.

However, I believe that if Singapore’s weather wasn’t so hot and humid, more of us would be willing to try something a bit different and take our dates out to a kopitiam instead.

Kopitiams are a great place to share a meal with someone. The atmosphere is usually quite relaxed and it’s usually quite affordable. The food is usually quite tasty and there are a variety of dishes to choose from.

There is something quite special about having a meal at a kopitiam. Many of us would have fond memories of visiting the kopitiam with our family and friends, so the memories of these times can be shared with our date.

Since it is usually quite crowded, it is easy to have a conversation without having to worry about being overheard. It also allows for a more relaxed atmosphere, which is always a plus for a first date.

Too hot

However, the hot and humid weather in Singapore often puts people off from wanting to go out and enjoy a meal at a kopitiam. We all know how uncomfortable it can be to be out in the heat and humidity, so it is understandable why some people might not want to go out if they don’t have to.

My suggestion is that if we want to make kopitiams a more attractive option for first dates, we should try to make them more comfortable. Air-conditioning is always a plus, but it is not always possible to have this in a kopitiam.

We can also try to make the kopitiams more attractive by adding more seating and creating a more inviting atmosphere. This can be done by adding plants, artwork, or decorations to make the place more inviting.

I believe that if Singapore’s weather wasn’t so hot and humid, more people would be willing to take their dates out to a kopitiam.

GIRL WHO WAS MOCKED FOR CHARLES & KEITH BAG, NOW A MODEL FOR THE BRAND

0

17-year-old Zoe Gabriel was previously shamed online earlier this year for sharing a video of herself at Charles & Keith, saying that they were a luxury brand.

She posted an update video about how her family scrimped and saved, and how she didn’t have much growing up, as she cried and said that her father had worked so hard for the money.

She was later invited by the founders of the brand to tour their company and have lunch with them and is now one of the models of the brand’s newest campaign.

Zoe was one of the models for Charles & Keith’s 2023 International Women’s Day campaign, and she shared a photo of herself on her Instagram yesterday, from one of the photoshoots.

She was posing with the Charles & Keith Alia Chain-Strap Crossbody Bag, which is one of their best-selling bags, accompanied with a handwritten note:

“Women are like flowers: Our time and needs to grow may not always align, but that is okay.

We are like fields of poppy and lakes of lotus — diverse and bold in our differences, beautiful in our own ways.

This International Women’s Day, let us celebrate with compassion. Let us celebrate with equality through equity, the way flowers do.”
