GF UNHAPPY THAT BF’S JOB IS 6 MONTHS OFF 6 MONTHS ON, WANT HIM WORK SOME MORE

0
Am i wrong for for asking him to get a job?

Hi everybody, I don’t really know if I’m the asshole in this situation.

I’m (22f) in a 3 month relationship with a guy (24m) who is literally perfect for me. We have incredible chemistry, he is polite, gentle and a great person all around. Helps me whenever I need anything.

This year he has a specific type of job, where he is away from home for 6 months and works there. The rest of the year he is completely free. He makes enough money to last him through the year. He has his own rental flat and does chores around it without a problem.

However, I still don’t feel very good about him literally doing for 6 months straight. He wakes up at 1pm, makes himself something to eat and plays video games or watches youtube for the rest of the day. He refuses to go back to uni (he dropped out a few years ago). He sometimes tries to get some sort of short-term job while here but ends up giving up on it, because “the boss is rude” or something similar.

On the other hand, I go to university and make money. I really work hard hoping to have a nice future. I don’t need him to make some crazy amount of money, but I’m becoming really concerned about his lack of general activity in these 6 months while he’s here.

Am I overreacting? I really hope I am. I don’t want to lose him…

POOR PEOPLE DRESS RICH TO LOOK RICH, RICH PEOPLE DRESS NORMALLY

0

Rich people usually dress normally and poor people dress rich to look richer than they are.

I’m sure that I’m not then only one who thinks this way that people who aren’t that rich will try to dress rich to give others a rich first impression.

The wealthy man who wears a simple polo shirt and khakis and the poor man who wears designer clothes and flashy jewelry.

I’ve had the privilege of being in the presence of wealthy people. Their style of dress is usually very simple.

They’re usually wearing something practical and comfortable, nothing too flashy or expensive. It’s almost like they don’t need to prove their wealth to anyone.

On the other hand, I’ve also seen poor people trying to dress up to look richer than they are.

They’re wearing designer clothes that they can’t afford and wearing more jewelry than they need and it’s almost like they’re trying to prove something to the world.

I think there are a few reasons why this happens.

Firstly, I think it’s a way for people to feel better about themselves. By dressing in expensive clothes and jewelry, they can feel like they’re worth something and that they fit in with the wealthy.

Secondly, I think it’s a way for people to hide their financial status. By dressing up, they can create the illusion that they’re wealthier than they actually are.

They can pretend to be something they’re not and no one will know the difference.

Lastly, I think it’s a way for people to aspire to something higher. It’s a way for them to see what it would be like to be wealthy and to dream about it.

It’s almost like they’re dressing the part and hoping that one day they can truly become wealthy.

It shows how our perception of wealth and status can be so different.

People can still want to feel like they’re worth something even if they don’t have much money.

No matter why people do it, it’s still something that’s fascinating to observe.

That rich people usually dress normally, while poor people dress up to look rich.

PASSENGER FILMS FINAL MOMENTS BEFORE PLANE CRASH IN NEPAL

A plane bound for a tourist city in Nepal tried to land at a newly opened airport. Within 27 minutes, the plane crashed into a canyon.

At least 68 of the 72 people on board died.

The Nepal Civil Aviation Authority said it was unclear what caused the accident.

The aircraft last made contact with the airport at 10:50 a.m. local time from near the Seti Gorge before the crash, the Civil Aviation Authority said.

The twin-engine ATR-72 plane, operated by Nepal’s Yeti Airlines, was flying from the capital Kathmandu to the city of Pokhara, 200 kilometers west of it.

Among the 68 passengers were 15 foreign nationals and four crew members, the aviation agency said.

Local resident Diwas Bohora, 33, said he was sitting on the balcony of his home and started filming the moment he saw the plane flying low.

Indradhoj Baruwal was another witness.

“When the plane made a loud noise, we turned around and saw the bamboo forest fall. I told my friend that the plane was falling to the ground. We heard the sound of the explosion.”

Three people survived the crash, he said.

BRIDE INVITES EX-BFS AND PLACES THEM ALL ON THE SAME TABLE FOR HER WEDDING

0

A bride in China is making headlines for her unique wedding seating arrangement. In a move that has stunned everyone, she has invited all her ex-boyfriends to her wedding and seated them all at the same table.

The wedding took place in Hunan, China inviting all her ex-boyfriends and labeled the table “Ex-boyfriends”.

The video has since gone viral on Weibo with over 2.91 million views and 23,000 likes.

The bride, who remains anonymous, is said to have been in a string of relationships with multiple men before meeting her husband. After her fiancé proposed, she decided to invite all her ex-boyfriends to her wedding.

To make sure the day was a success, she made sure all the men were seated at the same table. This meant that all her exes were able to join her and her husband in celebrating the occasion.

The story quickly went viral on Chinese social media, with users expressing their admiration for the bride’s bravery in inviting all her exes to the wedding. Many praised her for “letting go of the past” and being willing to forgive and forget.

Others were more critical, with some pointing out that it could have been seen as a passive-aggressive move. They argued that the bride was trying to show her exes that she had moved on and was now happily married.

Whatever the reason, her story has gone viral and has sparked a debate about the appropriateness of inviting exes to a wedding. Some have argued that it is an unnecessary move, while others think it can be a powerful gesture of forgiveness and closure.

The bride’s story has resonated with many people, and it has certainly sparked a discussion about how to deal with past relationships. Whatever people’s opinion, it is clear that the bride’s unique seating arrangement was a bold move that will not be forgotten anytime soon.

“S’PORE WORKERS WANT TO WORK LONGER AS LONG AS THEY ARE HEALTHY” – LAWRENCE WONG

0

Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong spoke during a dialogue at the National University of Singapore’s (NUS) Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) Singapore Perspectives Conference and said that Singapore workers want to work longer if they are healthy, as reported by Channel NewsAsia.

Wong was answering a question by the Chairman of the Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) Professor Paul Tambyah, on making the Silver Support Scheme more universal, which the latter said would prevent senior citizens from suffering a drop in income when they stop working.

Professor Tambyah said that the narrative seems to be that we need to keep working and if we are unable to do a particular job, we’ve got to retrain.”

Wong responded by saying that according to surveys, workers in Singapore want to work longer as long as they are healthy.

He added that “obviously there’s a limit to how long we can work,” and added that with the longevity of the people and longer lifespans, the majority of workers want to actually continue working.

Wong then added that the workers realised that when they stopped working, they would see a rapid deterioration of their health.

He said that work is more than a source of income and provides dignity and purpose, and there is something fundamental and important about work.

DPM Wong also added that it was important to have a stable job and work consistently, and if you’re a new entrant, a young adult entering the workforce, work consistently.

He added that whatever job you can do, you can be assured of a basic retirement sum.

M’SIA HOTELS CHARGING S$3/NIGHT TOURISM TAX SINCE 1 JAN FOR ALL FOREIGN TRAVELERS

0

Foreign travellers entering into Malaysia have had to pay a tourism tax of RM10 (about SGD $10) for each night’s stay at their hotels since the start of the year (1 January 2023).

The tourism tax was first introduced back in 2017, but was suspended in July 2020 because of the pandemic and Malaysia’s Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

With life somewhat returning back to normal, the “tourism tax” has since been implemented, much to the disdain of some Singaporeans.

The Royal Malaysia Customs Department said in a bulletin post on 30 December that the tourism tax was implemented on 1 January.

They said that the tax will apply to foreign tourists who are staying at “registered accommodation premises”, and will not apply to Malaysian citizens and permanent residents.
