GUY TOOK $7K LOAN FROM GIRL THAT HE LIKED, THEN GOES MIA BECAUSE NO MONEY RETURN

0

During my uni days I have this hot female friend who often visits me when she visits the country that I was studying in. Once she even agreed to enter my lecture hall and sit next to me. I feel damn sut among my peers then. We would have a meal or hang out with my friends or our common friends whenever she visits. I know she doesn’t like me romantically even though I had a crush on her in my earlier years of knowing her. I’ve resigned to the fact that she’s out of my league but I’m also open to meeting her other hot female friends as sometime she would introduce to me.

Once I asked if I can stay over at her hotel in a joking manner. I slipped and said I may hop over to her bed in the middle of the night. She had a boyfriend that time and I think I may have startled her. She said she trust me but she’s going to ask her boyfriend. She said ok but I changed my mind. I chickened out as I don’t trust myself.

Not long after I got into an accident. I wasn’t seriously injured but I needed money for surgery. I hid it from my parents and some friends but I confided in her that I needed money. She didnt hesitate to loan me a sum. I know she was earning at least $6,7k a month and can help me out easily.

The thing I regret doing was, after I had the surgery and got better, I avoided her. I didn’t have the money to return her as I was still a student. I was living on cup noodles and selling off my stuff to tide through. She didn’t chase for the money for over a year until I missed her deadline then she called my parents. So in the end I took money from my parents and returned her the money. After that I never heard from her again.

Its been years and I regret what I did. I stayed single, I had a few ons but none of these women can compare to her. She’s pretty, slim, had the right figure and height, a great job. Always happy and positive. I’ve always thought she’s like a real life goddess.

She has since married her then bf and became a mother. I tried to message her but she never replied. Sometimes I look back and think if I didn’t make such a mistake maybe I could have a chance to be with her.

This is my regret. Don’t live life as though there’s no consequences to the decisions you make. If I can turn back the time, I would have been a better man and hopefully be able to attract her to be mine.

Netizens’ comments

  1. You are truly the worst kind of friend. People lend you money during your hard times and you ghost them without returning the money. Good that she ditched you out of her life
  2. You totally deserved not hearing from her again. It’s not too late to be a better man for yourself but doesn’t sound like you’ve had much growth.
  3. Err don’t think u could have gotten her anyway sorry bro

Think he should change his name from Terence to Robert ah, since he like to be chopped carrot so much. Dude went and bought a Rolex for her.

I don’t even know what Rolex he bought, inside the siam diu so dark and the music so loud, all I know is it’s a 2nd hand $9.9k Rolex and he gave it to her AFTER HANGING HER $500 FLOWER.

I just sat there shaking my head. The siam bu was holding on to the Rolex and being all over him and smiling so happily, looking at him like she just found her golden rooster.

They are still talking to each other but I often see her drinking and getting handsy with other men, so I am willing to bet a whole Rolex that she is going to leave him once she finds a richer golden rooster.

CYCLISTS DASHED ACROSS RED LIGHT AND ALMOST GOT THEMSELVES REINCARNATED

Facebook user “Fur” shared how he was driving when two cyclists suddenly dashed out of nowhere and cycled across the road, while the traffic light was red against them.

The incident happened on 6 September at about 10.53pm and was captured on his vehicle’s dashcam.

He (the driver) was seen cruising down the street in his car and approaching a traffic light that had turned green in his favour.

All of a sudden, the two cyclists at the traffic light then emerged from the side of the road, and dashed across the road while the traffic light was still red.

Thankfully the driver was driving slowly because he was wary of the cyclists who were seen cycling really fast earlier, and managed to avoid running them over.

Here is what he said

This 2 reckless cyclist almost lost their life if I had not stop on time..

Saw the guy is white cycling fast on the ride side of the video so decided to slow down abit and to my surprise he just cross the road and ignored all the traffic rules.

His stupid friend also decided to do the same and the white care almost run him down.

50 Y.O MAN’S DEAD BODY EATEN BY MONITOR LIZARDS, AFTER DYING ALONE IN HIS HOME

0

A 50-year-old man died alone in his rented home in Khlong Toei district, Bangkok, Thailand and his body was then eaten by several monitor lizards.

The man was a motorcycle taxi driver who lived alone, and had a history of high blood pressure.

The man’s neighbours didn’t see him leave the house for two days and were getting concerned, and they noticed a foul smell coming out of his home and called the police.

Police officers and volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation (a charity organisation that handles funerals for the poor and those without kin, as well as attending to medical emergencies) arrived at the scene and found his body in the toilet at the back of his home.

The toilet was in a “shed” that was covered with rusty metal sheets and was neat a body of water, and the man was found without any clothes on and lying face down beside the urinal.

His body was also decomposing and swelling up, and officers found two 1m long monitor lizards in the toilet, and eating the man’s body, gnawing his legs, ears and other body parts.

They had apparently gotten into the toilet through a hole in one of the metal sheets, and officers chased the monitor lizards away before retrieving the man’s body.

The deceased was then sent to the hospital for an autopsy where he was estimated to have died for at least 2 days prior to the discovery/

The authorities believe that he had a sudden increase in his blood pressure and had lost consciousness as a result.

37 Y.O MAN ARRESTED FOR SCAMMING $2.6K FROM VICTIM IN ROLEX SCAM ON CAROUSELL

0

The Police have arrested a 37-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of e-commerce scam.

On 2 September 2022, the Police received a report from a victim claiming that he was cheated by an online seller who had advertised a Rolex watch for sale on Carousell. The victim was allegedly cheated by the seller into making a deposit payment totalling $2,600 through bank transfer to the seller. After receiving payment from the victim, the seller failed to deliver the watch and delayed refunding the deposit.

Through investigations, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the seller and arrested him on 6 September 2022.

Investigations against the subject are ongoing. The offence of cheating, under Section 420 of the Penal Code 1871, carries an imprisonment term of up to 10 years and a fine.

The Police would like to advise members of the public to take the following precautions when making online purchases:

  1. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is. Purchase only from authorised sellers or reputable sources, especially for high-value items.
  2. Opt for buyer protection by using in-built payment options that release payment to the seller only upon delivery. Whenever possible, avoid making advance payments or direct bank transfers to the seller as this method does not offer any protection.
  3. Scammers may entice buyers to contact them directly through messaging platforms such as WhatsApp or WeChat by offering a better or faster deal if bank transfer payments are made directly to them. They may also use a local bank account or provide a copy of a NRIC/driver’s licence to make you believe that they are genuine sellers. Do not fall for it!

For more information on scams, members of the public can visit scamalert.sg or call the Anti-Scam Hotline at 1800-722-6688. Anyone with information on such scams may call the Police hotline at 1800-255 0000 or submit information online at www.police.gov.sg/iwitness.

Eagle-eyed netizens soon noticed that Sabri was wearing a pair of Hermes loafers that purportedly costs $1,500, with netizens being divided into two camps – one criticising his expensive footwear, and the other defending him.

DPM Wong shared a photo of their meeting on Facebook on 5 September, with PM Sabri looking riched up with the Hermes logo hogging the attention on his feet.

DPM Wong’s Facebook post

Called on Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob today. We had a good discussion on bilateral cooperation, including in new areas such as the digital and green economies. We also welcomed the good progress on the Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System Link Project.

Happy to also have met Senior Minister of Defence Hishammuddin Hussein. Thank you for the warm welcome and the fruitful meeting as we explored ways to enhance cooperation between both countries as well as within ASEAN.

I also met Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia Nor Shamsiah and we shared ideas on how both countries can strengthen financial cooperation in many areas, including sustainable finance, and regional financial stability.
A productive day 2 in Kuala Lumpur! We had many good exchanges and may our bilateral ties continue to deepen for collaboration and regional developments!

Netizens’ comments

Some netizens called him out for being “out of touch with reality”, and expressed their wishes that he would “kick the corner of the table while stepping on the head of a plug”.

Another netizen questioned the criticism and said that in such meetings, there is a proper dress code required and that “luckily the PM didn’t wear slippers”.
