FUGITIVE CHARLES YEO CHALLENGES S’PORE POLICE TO TRACK HIM DOWN IN THE U.K

0

Lawyer and former head of the Reform Party, Charles Yeo, fled Singapore after having criminal charges levelled against him.

He then posted a series of Instagram Stories, challenging the Singapore Police Force to track him down in the United Kingdom.

He is currently in the UK where he is seeking political asylum.

Hide and seek

He has even provided “tips” on his location, offering his information on the gaming platforms Steam and Blizzard as an alternative to the authorities reaching out to his family in Singapore for information about his whereabouts.

Yeo was seen in a series of videos, walking down the streets of London while addressing the police and Attorney-General’s Chambers.

He said that he has switched on his “location sharing” on Instagram, and that the Singapore Police can contact Instagram for his geolocation

He also asked them to contact the gaming platforms Steam and Blizzard for his information, given that he is an active gamer who plays Dota 2 and World of Warcraft.

Criminal charges

The 31-year-old lawyer turned fugitive, is facing a total of 6 criminal charges in Singapore, including:

  • One count of uttering words with the deliberate intent to wound the religious feelings of another under the Penal Code.
  • Two counts of attempting to do the above
  • Three counts of threatening or insulting communications towards a public servant under the Protection from Harassment Act.

He was previously arrested in January for allegedly committing criminal breach of trust and forgery, relating to the clients of his law firm.

GUY’S GIRLFRIEND ALWAYS FLIRTING WITH OTHER MEN RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM

0

Girlfriend [22f] flirts with others in front of me. She has a history of cheating

I’m 28M. We’ve been together for 5 months. Recently we went out and she spotted a hot guy at the bar. She has never been so keen to get the drinks. I didn’t pay for a single beer that night.

They chatted, laughed – she was very flirty – and he gave her the drinks half price. I was ignored by both of them. I thanked him but no eye contact and she said nothing to me either.

Later we were dancing, got pretty drunk and ended up kissing heavily against the wall of the place. It was hot but she definitely kept looking over at the guy at the bar in between kissing – it hurt me but I didn’t let her know.

There have been other times – harmless, nothing ever goes further than flirting and chatting, but it bothers me because of something she said: she cheated on a previous boyfriend, kissing a mutual friend in a club when they were there together. This started a new relationship.

The jealousy and feelings of inadequacy really hurt. It makes me think I should end the relationship now, before she does something – even though as far as I’m aware she has been loyal to me. Should I talk to her about my fears or is this the wrong thing to do?

WIFE USE PREGNANCY AS EXCUSE TO STOP DOING EVERYTHING, BUT GOT ENERGY TO GO SHOPPING

0

Background: This is a fresh story and I want a spectators opinion, it happened 2 days ago. My wife (32F) and me (32M) are expecting a baby soon. She’s 7 months pregnant, 1st child.

Her pregnancy has been hell, she’s been telling me she’s in constant pain so much that I’ve been picking up the slack with the housekeeping (I work 58 hours over 6 days, I only get Sunday off), but with her immense pain she can still go out to dinner with her friends, go on vacations (she got back 2 weeks ago from an unplanned trip to Greece), or go baby shopping with her mom for multiple hours.

I’m not saying that she can’t do those things, I just wish she could do some very minimal chores so that I don’t have as much on my plate when I get home at 6 pm. Dishwasher loading + making the bed and tidying tables + dinner is all I ask for. I’ve been willingly doing the rest.

Recently though, she’s stopped doing those chores because of her physical pains. I’m exhausted too, and she negates all of my feelings because I’m not the one carrying the child.

Now onto the story: I came home to a messy house again, she had her friends over and they were watching stranger things all day. I asked her if she could load the dishwasher and tidy up the table, and I’d do the laundry and the sweeping and mopping.

She then told me that her back was sore, and though it may have been because I was so sick and tired of doing everything all the time, so I told her she was inconsiderate of my feelings and that her laziness can’t be overshadowed by her pregnancy forever.

I also said how could you hang out with your friends with immense back pains all day, why were there no chores done while they were over since you had so much energy?

She lost it on me, and left to stay with her mom, she painted this narrative with my parents-in-law that I’m an control freak. They’re telling everyone now and I’m just at a loss. She hasn’t returned.

MAN AVOIDS FAMILY REUNION AS HE CAN’T EAT MOST OF THE FOOD ON THE MENU

0

Sorry if this isn’t the right place but sometimes I’m not that good at judging myself. Spoiler it may be boring, but probably very relatable for people with food allergies and neglecting families.

Today I’ve been invited to a family reunion, which happens once or twice a year. This will be a reunion for “everybody’s birthday” since many of us are born in the same month.

My family ends up always choosing a place where I can barely eat anything. That’s because I can’t eat gluten due to sinus and my family is well aware of this because my grandmother always cooked for me separately. Also when we were in Italy everything is about pizza and I can’t eat regular pizza, I need to eat in a place that has the gluten free option.

Making it even more complicated, the chosen restaurant has a menu mainly composed of gluten dishes. I really dislike it. The other option is meat that 1) costs a lot and 2) I stopped eating because I’m going vegetarian.

Last year I had the same problem, I ended up attending and eating something I didn’t really want to eat, I ate meat while everyone was eating pizza and it always makes me feel weird. I want to eat what everyone is eating.

I would really like to attend, I’ve always had a difficult relationship with my family but lately I’m trying to get closer to them and let them know me and open up to me, but it feels like they keep ignoring my needs and limits and this makes me feel really sad and this is why I’m considering not attending, it wouldn’t make me feel good.

Am I selfish and a killjoy for thinking about not attending? Should I just pick some meat, pay extra and just shut up and let everybody else enjoy the reunion? Am I ruining everybody’s dinner?

Of course, every time this happens I talk to my mother and explain I have a problem with the menu and she understands but she will never take my side or be my advocate because she doesn’t have the courage to say anything different from what my grandparents want.

MNC FORCES OFFICE STAFF TO WORK IN THE WAREHOUSE TO AVOID PAYING OVERTIME

0

A netizen has reached out to Singapore Uncensored stating how the company he is employed at is forcing office staff to work in the warehouse to avoid paying the warehouse workers any overtime wage.

The man said that he is not covered by the law for overtime payment and neither is he getting any off days from his company for working beyond his regular working hours.

Here is what the netizen said:

I am working in a company that covers a wide range of services and logistics is one of them, whenever a project gets rushed in or a screw-up happens I have to go work in the warehouse. This means I have to both finish my official duties and also go to the warehouse and help move goods.

I am not complaining that a warehouse job is hard, I am stating that it is very “black” of them to do this to avoid paying their workers more and I am not getting fairly compensated.

This often ends up with me working till 8-9 PM. This is not a one-time thing, I have been keeping my mouth shut for the past few years as I could not risk making a complaint and getting targeted by the management.

If this happens rarely, I most likely will not make a fuss about it. But this happens almost every day for the past 3 years.

My boss would release the warehouse workers at 6 PM as they are covered by the workman law and they are eligible for overtime pay. Then my boss will ask the office workers to stay back and complete the job who are not eligible for any overtime and we are not given any off days as well.

I know many netizens will tell me to expose the company, but as far as I know, there has not been any company who are punished and told to pay their employees millions in Singapore (Meaning I still have to work).

So even if I complain or call MOM also no use cause ends up with me getting a bad appraisal and I won’t get any increment (kena mark).

In other words, I only can search for another job. But due to the competitiveness of the market, I have not been able to find a job at any other company.

All I can say is that it is an MNC from overseas and they are so famous almost everyone has heard of their brand before.

MAN CONSIDERING DIVORCE AS WIFE WHO JUST GAVE BIRTH IS THROWING TANTRUM

0

I am contemplating divorce or just ending everything…

We’ve been married 5 years, our child is a newborn a couple of weeks old.

Partner is doing confinement, which means the wife has to avoid contact with water, not shower, not drink room temperature water (drink red date tea instead of water). She also has to eat very specific foods for her body to regenerate… (TCM stuff…)

I don’t buy into any of it, but she does so I kept an open mind.

We were financially a little tight so we didn’t hire a dedicated confinement lady, I decided to take the helm and bought a packaged food prep specialised for postpartum recovery (TCM approved) and focused on getting her what she needs through the month.

I’m not sure if it’s the hormones or the sleep deprivation… But I am doing literally everything else for her, she is just focused on feeding our little one (I understand this is super hard) and we agreed that we wouldn’t stress on breast milk as long as our bub is fed. We do whatever it takes to keep my wife sane.

I cook, I clean, I sterilise, I assemble the pump bottles, I brew her herbal tea every morning, and ensure the thermos gets replaced fresh every day.

She occasionally throws a tantrum (mild, she just starts giving me cold shoulder) when – the tea I make for her personal thermos bottle is either too hot to drink immediately, or too cold – the food I make is too simple ( sometimes I get too tired to skim the beef tallow/scum off the boiled soup)

She sometimes makes snide remarks like is ginger too expensive? When I didn’t put enough in her veges (I add to this, that it was intentional so she can actually consume them rather than just as flavour)

Our bub is only so young, but I’m not sure if I’ll ever be good enough for my wife. I don’t know what to do, I feel like if I bail, I bail on my kid.

I get darker thoughts sometimes, but I’ll never go that far, my kid needs me.

Did I do enough, or am I just selfish and not putting her needs ahead of mine enough?

M’SIA GRAB AND FOODPANDA DELIVERY RIDERS GO ON STRIKE FOR LOW WAGE

Grab and Foodpanada riders in Malaysia went on a strike as they are angry at their S$1.55 wage for delivering food.

It is reported that the food delivery workers of Grab Food gathered in various places in Klang Valley this afternoon and went to the Grab headquarters together to protest.

Grab also privately sent emails to its employees, drivers and deliverymen. Melawati Plaza, Wanda Shopping Plaza, KLCC, Shihe Shopping Center and Bukit Bintang Pavilion Shopping Mall and many other places.

One of the strike organisers said:

“Don’t be afraid of fake FB psychos saying you will be banned for joining the strike… You only turn off apps, what’s the proof from them that you join the strike? Did you come out at the apps or did you join the strike? We have a mind, think well, don’t be consumed by their psychos that you will be banned…”
