Me (19m) and my crush (20f) worked together at this part time job. We have been working with each other for a few weeks, but unfortunately not too often.

We started to hit it off quite quickly and after some time, I had built up the confidence to take things out of a work situation, and get to know her better on a personal level.

After like a day of thinking, I came up with the perfect plan.

I would ask her to go on a double date, where i would be taking her, and my dog would be taking her dog. It sounded like the best plan ever. I know she loves her dog, and i love my dog, so what could possibly go wrong.

I don’t have a lot of dating experience, and I had never really asked a girl out before. But I could imagine it would be awkward if I just walked up to her and was like, ” Hey girl, want to go on a date?”

So I decided to start off with normal conversation.

The day came when we were scheduled on the same shift and finally after work, I had the chance to ask her out.

I walked up to her and instead of sticking to my plan of asking her out with her dog, I said to her, ‘Hey, your dog is really cute and I think you look like your dog as you are cute as well.’

She got so mad at me when she heard this comparison which I made and walked away in anger.

I realised that I messed up badly but that was probably the deal breaker for her as she has been completely ignoring me ever since then.

i just found out i’m related to my boyfriend

(EX BF NOW we broke up because of this) i know this sounds like it’s not horrible but i have no one else except this boy.

He has made me happy and understands me even in difficult situations, i really loved him and after i found out this information a part of me has literally died, i feel like he’s dead to be honest.

It’s a long story and i’ve been advised to keep it private but i just feel so horrible.

we only dated for 6 months but ive liked him for 1 year before that and when he asked me out i was so happy.

it turns out his dad is my dads cousin but we never knew because apparently his dad is ‘dead’ but that’s false info.

it’s so much to take in and not only did he find out his dads alive but we are related. it’s so messed up.

we had an argument once and i was scared we would break up. i don’t know how to handle this..

A story was seen online where a guy claimed that the reason that he was dumped by his ex-girlfriend because she thinks that he is a good for nothing and financially poor.

Here is how the story goes

I was dumped by my ex girlfriend sometime in the middle of last year which put an end to our 6 years of relationship.

For context, I am 33 years of age and she is 25.

We have been talking of getting a house and to settle down for quite a while ever since I got my first ever proper job two years into the relationship when I was 29.

She was 21 at the time and studying in University while doing part time work.

To come out with enough money to get a house and for our wedding when the time came, we decided to save money together by opening up a joint account where we each would put a sum of money in every month.

We had agreed to put 20% of our salary in per month which came up to about $800 for me monthly and $400 from her monthly, something she and I agreed that it was comfortable enough for us to put in every month.

The plan was going well for a good few months till we had about $10,000 in our savings and that’s when things started to turn sour.

I started to develop an interest for online gaming and had most of my other 60% of my salary (since 20% also goes to CPF) on getting the best gaming equipment to have an edge over other gamers while gaming and had not much money left in my personal bank account.

This was when I started to withdraw money from the joint account.

To me, it is my share and I had all the rights to withdraw my share if I do not have enough in my own personal bank account.

Afterall, it is money that I have contributed so there is definitely no wrong in what I am doing.

She checked the account one day and flipped at me and asked to see mine personal account and when she saw that there was less than $500 inside, she called me ‘useless’ and ‘poor’ and decided to leave me.

I really don’t understand what is wrong with her.

I always thought that she just wants a simple life and will be contented as long as I can afford to pay for her daily meals and not let her go hungry.

So this story happened a few days ago

My boyfriend (29M) and I (21F) have been going out for a little bit. We enjoy each other’s company, and have been having a great time together for the past couple of dates.

I’ve been to his place before and met a few roommates, not all of them, so I’m familiar with the other guys in the house and I’m not some mysterious girl to them, which is great in my eyes.

Thursday night happened and we went on a date, and afterwards went back to his place. His brother was also around as he had come to visit him. We chatted briefly, and my boyfriend had raved about me apparently to his sibling so he had many questions.

It was short though, as my boyfriend took my hand after a few questions and announced that we were both tired and needed to head to bed.

We went upstairs, and proceeded to get changed, turning on the speaker in the process and putting the music on. We proceeded to do the ‘deed’, the first round was good and we recovered then went at it again. Now, part way through this wild experience I decided to turn up the music because we were getting a bit loud.

Little did I know, this was going to be the downfall of the night.

As we continued the banging and everything was going well, suddenly the door swung open and my boyfriend’s roommate and brother were there. When they had caught wind of what we were doing they immediately closed the door and we stopped playing the music.

My boyfriend’s roommate said that they were knocking for ten minutes because his brother was leaving for the night and wanted to say goodbye to the both of us.

He mentioned that he figured we could not hear the knocking due to the loud music which was why they decided to try and open the door.

Good gracious me, now both of them have seen me without any clothes on ‘all fours.’

I left work, had dinner and headed straight for Orchard Towers, i usually frequent the massage shops there but after speaking with the massage lady i frequent, i decided i wanted to pick someone up outside instead, So i did just that, Positioned myself at the smoking area outside the towers and lit a cigarette up while scouting for the ‘one’.

So everything went as you would expect, some ladies were enticing men, some just hanging around scouting for their targets as well and some already pitching their sales to men, Overall just very wholesome stuff. It was until this old man(?) that came from behind me , Decided he would ruin my day, he walked towards the ladies and i noticed him pointing in my direction repeatedly while talking to one of the ladies which seem like the leader of the pack, i assume the ladies were either thai/viet, at this point i was between the vending machines and the smoking area with my phone out scrolling though my usual social media feeds, I paid no attention to it because maybe he was pointing to someone behind me who was just too shy to speak to the ladies.

So with that assumption i thought the lady was going to approach someone behind me, but instead she stopped and stood by the vending machine. At this point i felt pretty akward, thought to myself why is this lady standing here ? At first i thought maybe the old man was ‘the boss’ and assigned her the spot so i paid no attention to it. A few minutes pass i realised the lady was consistently exchanging glances with me maybe its a sign for me to approach, i thought but she was not my type so i just ignored that idea, i walked around for abit and eventually the lady left the spot, i assumed maybe her ‘boss’ already left the area and she reunited with her friends. Meanwhile i was texting my bros for some r18 chat exchanging karma sutra and what not, at this point i was at the smoking area leaning against the shelter , and 2 ladies(one of em i exchanged greetings while on my way to the smoking area) from the pack walked towards me, thought to myself maybe they want to pitch their sales but this was not the case.

The lady which i exchanged greetings with smiled at me and walked off while this other lady looked at me and spoke ‘you take picture ?’ and gave me the death stare as if ive done something to piss em off. I replied ‘Nope no pictures’, unlocked my phone and scrolled though my gallery for her to view, she left very unsatisfied. So at this point i was super confused on what had just happened, was i just reprimanded for just standing and smoking while minding my own business ?

So i decided to approach the lady who i exchanged greetings with earlier, asked her how much and after pondering decided my money is better spent else where. So i left the area and just as i was about to leave my eyes locked with the leader of the pack and she also gave me the death stare and muttered something in her native language, at this point i was annoyed and went on a tangent to as what the fuck happened ?

My current assumption after piecing together the events that happened, was that the old man told the ladies some bogus story that i was taking pictures of them doing their trade. I assume it was a random old man because if he was probably the ‘boss’ i would have been reprimanded on the spot because why give someone time to delete the pictures(?). I assumed the reason why the leader of the pack decided to stand near me was probably to snoop and see if i was taking pictures of them. So i guess in their minds they saw me as trying to report them to the authorities with photo evidence and this pissed them off.

Something just dosent seem to make sense, i know for a fact that, the smoking area has a police CCTV, so why would i have to take pictures to report ? I am not one who likes to destroy someones rice bowl, if they are out here to make a living so be it. It dosent benefit me to report such activities and its honestly a waste of time in my eyes.

If i was guilty of taking pictures of them, dosent it seem odd to them i stood my ground ? I could have just ran off with the ‘picture evidence’.

What do you guys think ? Am i going on a completely off tangent ? Or were the Ladies just overthinking ? Or something completely different ?

I haven’t met my ex in about 6 years and honestly I’m quite relieved. I’d thought at the time we’d see each other more often as we were going to the same course in uni and I guess working in the same sector, but thankfully I haven’t seen her since.

She cheated on me with some guy she met on tinder, and it continued until one of her friends told me about it. I found out later that the friend was also sleeping with the guy and she just wanted him for herself.

The guy was in NS at the time and I was waiting to enlist. So ironic that this was pretty much a reversal of whatever usually happens in the stereotypes.

I only found out because someone else wanted to sleep with him. I couldn’t sleep that night and that next day I asked to meet her. Surprisingly she asked to break up with me the first thing she said. Apparently I wasn’t good enough for her in various aspects and she even said that I was “too small” for her. She said that I was “lame” and unlike her new guy who’s like fit and has a cool role in the army as a medic my clerk job was embarrassing but like who even says that? Isn’t that just looking for any excuse to break up?

I heard she continued sleeping with the guy for a while up till about midway through uni. I haven’t dated since. It was hard enough to get a girlfriend the first time and honestly I don’t have much faith in it anymore.

Money over kinship

So recently, we were preparing for my grandpa’s death anniversary and we weren’t even acting like relatives because everybody just cares about money/won’t treat my mum as their elder sis anymore.

My mum even has to bottle up her own feelings just because of the gossiping made between my aunties & uncle and tbh it just feels like my family is being looked down on.

We were told to transfer an amount of 800$ to person (A) by end of this month for the prayers on 4th August. Person (A) also mentioned that the payment can be made on the day of prayers itself. So, I was quite hesistant to transfer the money because it’s not even payday yet and I told all relatives that I’ll pay upon receipt on the actual day of prayers.

Person (B) replied saying person (A) will not run away with our balance money and said that if we don’t trust person (A), she’ll be her guarantor.

I just need someone to help me understand, where did I even mentioned that I’m scared that person (A) will run away with my balance money/why can’t they just agree on the pay upon receipt part?
