S’PORE PR NEVER GET NS $1K CREDITS, ASK HOW COME S’POREANS GET BUT HE DON’T HAVE

0

NS $1000 credits unavailable for PRs

Hi everyone. Know this horse has been flogged to death and back, but knowing that PRs wouldn’t be getting it really stings.

No concrete source apart from the NS HOME page stating that it’s for Singaporeans only, and the fact that me and countless other PRs haven’t received anything despite those that ORD in the same time did.

Call me a clown, but really did my best in NS for I actually saw a purpose in doing some of the stuff, and would say I decently enjoyed my time despite all the bs and nonsense.

And yes of course Singaporeans deserve the benefits and etc (I mean PRs fundamentally are not SGporeans at the end of the day), but after releasing the article saying for all NSFs and not specifying the nationality, and the fact that we all go through the same shit together for 2 years, I just feel quite cheated?

Planning to convert too, but really confused and sad by this decision. And worst part for matters like this is that it seems no amount of public attention/letters to ST/MP would be of use lol.

$1k cash credits

It was previously reported that with effect from 1 April, all full-time NSFs will receive an additional $1,000 in cash after they ORD, with this only being applicable to those who enlist into the army on or after 2019.

NEWLYWED’S RELATIVE: “IF YOU CAN’T AFFORD RM300 ANGPAO, DON’T ACCEPT WEDDING INVITATION”

A netizen whose cousin purportedly got married recently, posted on Facebook advising those who cannot afford an RM300 red packet, not to accept wedding invitations.

He said that “things are expensive these days, if you cannot afford to give more than RM300 in your red packets, don’t accept wedding invitations and make other people lose money.”

He shared how his cousin had his wedding recently, forking out RM2,200 per table, without even including the cost of the alcohol and drinks.

He lamented how many of the guests who attended, only gave him RM150 – RM180.

Netizens have since hit back at him, saying that red packets are given out of a person’s sincerity and love, and not out of duty.

Others chided him and said “if you can’t afford it then don’t hold a wedding banquet”, while another told him that he should be happy that people actually showed up.

Yes I’m an escort and no I wont apologize for making money this way, I’m proud of my success

I’ve been working as an escort for several years now, I’ve never been super into social media until I started posting online about my experiences.

And while I can say a lot of people do find my posts interesting or like my no bs attitude I still get thousands of comments calling me every name in the book simply for being paid for my work.

Well you know what? I’m not sorry in the slightest, I’m proud of the work I do I make over seven figures a year that’s more than anyone I went to school with,

ironically I actually have a degree myself but could have never even have dreamed of making this much with it.

So call me what you want but I’m more than happy I’m living my best life.

ITE STUDENT ASKED FOR DONATION & GOT REJECTED, POINTS MIDDLE FINGER

A netizen, Bernice Loh, sahred how two guys came knocking on her door claiming to be students from ITE.

They requested for donations purportedly for an “orphanage” and were duly rejected.

One of the guys then got unhappy and was seen in the video that the netizen shared, pointing a middle finger at the resident, Loh’s mother, who rejected their donation request.

Here is what she said

“On 28/6/2022, on roughly 4pm, this 2 person came knocking on my door. Claims to be from ITE and requesting for donation for orphanage.

After getting rejected, one of them pointed middle finger at my mum?? Is this how the school educate the students nowadays?

And is knocking door to door asking for donations even legal?

I have injured my boss while playing football.

Hello everyone, today is my worst day ever. Every Tuesday we play football after work. Today was the same day, we started to play, i was goalkeeper, and my boss was striker,

In the mid of the game , i saw the ball coming to my boss, i just ran there and cleared the ball and in the process, accidentally kicked his leg.

he was screaming in pain and my mind went blank, and after that he blamed me for trying to injure him and told me that he doesn’t want to see me anymore.

I offered to send him to the hospital but he rejected me and said he doesn’t want to see me anymore.

He rejected my calls and ignored my messages.

I just wanna know your opinions, is it my fault that he got injured in the game? it was an accident and is he overreacting? He’s accusing me of doing it on purpose…

What do you think about my situation???

GUY’S FEMALE FRIEND TOLD HIM THAT HIS BODY ODOUR IS “ATTRACTIVE”

0

Today my(21M) friend(22F) told me my body odour was attractive. (She came extremely close to me and smelled me)

We have known each other for 4 years and it’s been 1 year since she got married.

We are not close friends and do not talk often. But she has been flirting with me somewhat aggressively for the past few days. Her husband moved overseas because of his work and she couldn’t go with him because of commitments.

She asked me out on a date but I told her that we shouldn’t because she is married…

Netizens’ comments

  • She wants to cheat on her husband and enter into an affair with you. It’s up to you what kind of person you want to be from here, but if you’re a good one then you should stop seeing her for any reason at all.
  • It’s a trap! She’s married.. bad karma if you do.
  • Better not get too close to that girl… You might get attention but she is young, lonely and MARRIED, which is a recipe for disaster. Be vigilant!
  • Good call. Don’t get in that mess. She’s married and if she’s acting like that, you certainly don’t want to go on a date with someone who does such things behind her husband’s back. That’s not a trust worthy person

WORK PASS HOLDERS NOT ALLOWED TO KEEP FOREIGN REGISTERED VEHICLES IN S’PORE

0

With effect from 1 July, work pass holders in Singapore will no longer be allowed to keep or use foreign registered vehicles here, according to the Land Transport Authority (LTA).

LTA previously said in a press release on 6 May about the upcoming withdrawal of exemptions for WPHs to keep and use their foreign-registered vehicles in Singapore.

Speaking to 8World News, LTA said that they are hoping the new rules will help with the need for vehicle control, in the wake of the recent heavy traffic into Singapore.

First-time offenders who breach the new ruling with face a fine of up to $1,000 and a jail term of up to 3 months, with repeat offenders facing a fine of up to $2,000 or a jail term of up to 6 months.

WPHs who do not live in Singaproe must also make sure that their foreign-registered vehicles stay outside of Singapore for a minimum of 6 hours a day.

Prior to the changes in the ruling, WPHs were allowed to keep and use their vehicles in Singapore due to the border restrictions as a result of the pandemic.

GIRL DOESN’T LIKE TO GET INTIMATE, TELLS BF HE CAN SLEEP WITH OTHERS

0

I told my partner he can sleep with someone else

So I’ve been with my current boyfriend for only a few months, it’s still a new relationship but my libido is not really high, i’m affectionate and love cuddles and kisses but intercourse doesn’t appeal to me,

I wouldn’t say I’m totally not interested in it, as occasionally I’ll be “in the mood” but that is honestly a once in a blue moon type occurrence.

last night i told my boyfriend if he really wanted, he could sleep with someone else. He went all funny about it and sort of stopped talking…

i said “I’m not interested in anyone else so i wouldn’t do the same, it’s for you. if you want to sleep with someone and you’re not getting it from me, go ahead, i give you 100% permission to sleep with someone else”

he asked if it was a one-time thing and i asked what he thought it should be, he didn’t answer and said he need to think about everything and he will talk to me tomorrow.

I’m wondering if what i said wasn’t appropriate or if it really upset him, i think he’s contemplating it, as if he didn’t want to he would of just laughed at the idea and said no.

I really didn’t mean to upset him

WOMAN WANTS HUSBAND TO PAY MORE FOR THEIR EXPENSES AFTER HE GOT PAYRAISE

0

I would like to ask some advice about couple finances. Married with 1 kid and another on the way.

I’m 30F with 8 years of working experience,  working in civil service drawing 90-95k per annum.

My partner is 31M with 7 years of working experience in private sector. He earned less than me (20%~) for about the first 5 years, before drawing similar to me for the next 2 years after switching jobs for the first time. He is getting a new job soon (signed contract and all), with the annual offer to be about 150-160k per annum. However most of this is in shares and on a 4 year vesting schedule (50k) and he plans to take up the company share purchase plan  so 10% of his base salary is set aside every month, bringing his real take home pay to be about the same as mine.

Previously we had an agreement to  share our expenses 50:50 as our income levels are the same (he did 50:50 even when he was earning less than me). However with the recent job change, I said now he should be paying 2:1 cause his income is way higher than mine, however he argues that it should still remain as 50:50 as realistically his take home salary would be equal or less than mine with the amount of taxes he is paying.

In terms of investments, he is actively investing (lost quite a bit due to market downturn ~20%) while I don’t do investments at all. So he says that as another justification for the status quo to remain as 50:50.

In terms of what he is saving for, we are currently living in a 5rm BTO that is about to MOP. He wants to move and buy a new condo or EC but I’m happy to stay in our current place cause it’s comfortable and we have got used to it.  He says that it is just going to depreciate in value past the 8-10y mark, so he wants to find a new condo so it won’t depreciate as much. Because I’m against buying the condo, he says that with his pay increase, he will be footing the cost for the entire place, so all the more reason not to increase the current 50:50.

Would appreciate if anyone has some advice for me.
