JOO CHIAT SECRET PUB CAUGHT WITH 5 WOMEN & 7 MEN, INVESTIGATED BY POLICE

According to the Singapore Police Force, a total of 12 individuals consisting of 7 men and 5 women are under investigation after they were caught consuming alcohol at a Joo Chiat Pub.

The private room’s were equipped a TV and a KTV set and sofa, they were caught singing and drinking on the 26 March 2021 along Joo Chiat Road. They were between ages of 20 and 44.

If the 12 individuals are found guilty of flouting COVID-19 rules they can be jailed up to 6 months and/or fined up to S$10,000

The 27-year-old operator of the unit is also under investigation for two more alleged offences as the company did not have any public entertainment license or liquor license.

For operating and providing liquor without the relevant licenses, the 27-year-old can be fined S$20,000 for each offence.

The Police said that they will continue to take actions against those that fail to follow the rules.

The man was believed to be a SCDF NSF and he was seen puffing from his e-cigarette.

MAID ALLEGEDLY FALLS TO HER DEATH FROM 6TH FLOOR WHILE CLEANING WINDOWS

A 26-year-old Indonesian maid allegedly fell to her death while cleaning the windows of a HDB unit on the 6th floor.

The incident reportedly happened on 29 March at about 4.53pm, at Block 464 Upper Serangoon Road.

The maid was found lying at the foot of a block of flats and she was unconscious when conveyed to the hospital, where she later died.

She was employed to take care a wheelchair-bound elderly woman, and it was her first time in Singapore.

Another Indonesian maid who lived on the same floor as the victim said that she received a text from the victim at around 4.41pm, saying that she was dizzy and that he head was aching.

The emplloyer of the victim said that she had heard the maid crying out for her twice; but by the time she got to the kitchen with her walking stick, the victim was nowhere to be seen.

$72K WORTH OF DRUGS SEIZED, 63-YEAR-OLD MAN ARRESTED

The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) said on Monday (March 29) that about $72,000 worth of drugs were seized.

A 63-year-old man was arrested at the vicinity of Edgefield Plains in Punggol, where officers uncovered a bundle containing about 323g of methamphetamine and about 2kg of cannabis inside a plastic bag.

Investigations are currently still ongoing.

73-YEAR-OLD MAN STABBED COFFEESHOP OWNER AND SON, SENTENCED TO 10 MONTHS JAIL

73-year-old Geo Kim Hock was sentenced to 10 months jail yesterday (29 March), for slashing a coffeeshop owner and his son with a knife.

The incident reportedly happened on 25 August 2020 at an office unit above a coffeeshop located at Bendemeer.

He was sentenced to an additional 3 weeks in jail for previously setting fire to the coffeeshop.

Geo bought a knife and scissors from a hardware shop near the crime scene and proceeded to attack the coffeeshop owner.

The owner’s son then tried to stop the aggressor but was slashed as a result.

Two other men nearby witnessed the attack and went forward to stop the old man, subduing him before police arrived at the scene.

The judge noted that Geo has a high chance of relapsing, he would need to at IMH after his imprisonment to continue receiving treatment.

OLD MAN LEFT HOME TO BUY SUPPER, KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR AND DRAGGED TO HIS DEATH

A 70-year-old man left his home with his walking stick in hand to go buy supper earlier today (30 March) at around 12am at North Bridge Road.

He was knocked down by a taxi and dragged about 30 meters to his death.

His walking stick, two cups of coffee and a few slices of bread were seen strewn across the scene.

A 55-year-old taxi driver has been arrested on the spot by the police.

UNCLE REFUSED TO WEAR MASK AND PUSHED POLICEMAN, ARRESTED ON THE SPOT

An uncle in his 70s reportedly refused to wear a face mask, leaving a Safe Distancing Ambassador with no choice but to call the police.

The police arrived and tried to persuade the old man to put on a mask, but he refused and tried to leave the scene on his bicycle.

The police tried to stop him and that was when the old man pushed the police officers.

He was subsequently arrested on the spot and taken away in handcuffs.

The incident happened on 28 March at about 12pm at the open plaza outside the hawker centre at Block 226, And Mo Kio Street 22.

WOMAN ACCUSED OF STEALING MOTORCYCLE HELMET, CLARIFIES THAT IT WAS A MISUNDERSTANDING

A woman who was accused by a motorcyclist of stealing his “3-year-old smelly helmet”, has since come out to clarify that it was a misunderstanding and a mistake.

She shared that she was visiting a friend at a condo located at Telok Kurau, and that her friend told her to pick up his helmet from the parking lot out of convenience.

She claims that she took the helmet from a motorcycle that she thought was her friend’s motorbike after checking the license plate.

But as it turns out, she took the helmet by mistake.

Realized mistake, tried to return helmet

She later found out that she took the wrong helmet when she met her friend, and so she returned to the parking lot within 30 minutes to return the helmet.

However, she forgot which motorbike she took the helmet from; so instead, she placed it on the ground.

The woman shared that she was notified by her friend that she was labeled as a “helmet thief” online, after the helmet’s owner posted footage of her taking the helmet from his motorbike on Facebook.

She then contacted the owner to clarify the situation and the owner agreed to take down the post after 2 days of alleged explanations.

She has since made a police report and engaged a lawyer, allegedly planning to sue and looking to resolve the incident via legal actions.

YOUNG PUNK WHO SLAPPED GIRL AT BUS STOP: “YOU DON’T NEED TO KNOW WHO MY MOTHER IS”

We previously wrote about a young punk slapping a girl in front of the police before he got arrested and told the officers “you know my mother who or not?”

Speculation online has been rife as to who exactly his mother is, since he openly challenged the police using his mother.

Well, according to the victim (the poor girl that he slapped in the face), his mother isn’t any prominent person.

Kae, the victim who was slapped, revealed that the man is her ex-boyfriend.

She shared that her ex boyfriend moved out of his home when the two were dating, and that his mother would often ask about the wellbeing of her son.

Kae highlighted that his mother cared very deeply for her son and appealed to netizens to refrain from criticizing her.

What happened that night?

Kae shared that she was drinking with her friends that evening and her ex boyfriend suddenly appeared.

He was pretty intoxicated and wanted top get back together with her.

Kae wanted to leave but was stopped by her ex, who tried to pull her into a car, resulting in her falling down and hurting her knees.

A police car then passed by, her friend then waved to the police car to get their attention.

The police then spoke to the man as she walked to the taxi stand to clean her wounds with tissue.

The man then went over to the taxi stand and unleashed his fury onto her.

You don’t need to know who is my mother

After the incident, the man went to Kae’s house to apologise with a handwritten sign outside her door.

The sign read:

“You don’t need to know who my mother is, I’m sorry.”

Kae revealed that the apology wasn’t accepted.
